of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Well, it's so good to have you on the show today, Charlotte. How you doing?

Charlynne Boddie (:

I'm doing great, Keith, and thank you for having me. Always a pleasure.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

It's a pleasure having you on as well. I think we're going to have a fantastic conversation. I'm looking forward to this. So as we get started, I'm going to give you my easy opening question everybody loves. Well, they don't all love it. I love it, but.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Me too.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?

Charlynne Boddie (:

Let's see, from my very first boss, it is always start at the top when you're when you have an ask in your life, some kind of ask. And he said to me, yes, they could say no, Charlene, but what if they say yes? And that has guided me through my life so many times. I always tell people that start at the top.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Wow, I like that. Usually people start at the bottom and work their way up to the top.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yeah, that's it. Yeah, because I think that's kind of maybe a lot of times where our courage is sometimes, but it really gets you to start from a place of victory rather than a place of thinking defeat. I'll start on the bottom and hope I get there. How about you start at the top and then trust, you know, what would happen? And my goodness, every time I've ever done that in my life. boy. Huge doors have opened.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Wow, that's, I keep that in mind, I like that. Maybe a third book in there for you, start at the top.

Charlynne Boddie (:

you know what? I tell you what, I tell you, I'm chewing on it. Somebody just said that to me recently. They said, Char, the same thing you said, Keith, they go, we think that's a third book. You've got to talk about, encourage people with what happens when you start at the top. And, you know, my first boss was amazing, you know, and what he said to me, I must have been 22 years old at the time, and I've never forgotten what he said. And it's always been.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Right.

Charlynne Boddie (:

just that golden piece of advice for me and I love to give it to other people to encourage them.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

That's funny. I was just talking to another guest a couple days ago on my podcast and we were talking about my seminary experience and they kept assuming the professors there that I was arrogant because I came off as arrogant and they said, you really need to have some humility. And my response back was people were humble, humble for a reason, which they hated that statement.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yes!

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yeah, yeah, yes.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

But my point to them was it's not about me being puffed up about myself. It's like I said, I have a supreme confidence in what God's gonna do through me. That's not arrogance. It's just, I understand that anything is possible with God. So you're misperceiving my confidence as arrogance.

Charlynne Boddie (:

That's it. Come on.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yes.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yeah, yeah, we get to have confidence in him, right? You know, Paul said you can boast in the Lord and never come up wrong.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Right.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Right, exactly. So for those who think that that's boasting, it's not.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yeah.

No, of course not, of course not. Absolutely not. He gets all the glory, you know? Yeah.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Exactly. I love asking Shara this question of my guests, especially people who had like yourself a wide range of experiences and life challenges. Who were some role models in your life? Tell us about them. And this is a chance to give them a shout out and kind of thank them for being there for you with those different phases of your life.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Wow, I would probably say one of the first visionaries that I met in my life was as an architect and branding manager in London, who is called Alastair Bullen, and he runs ABA Associates out of London. And he took me under his wing and mentored me for about a decade. And he saw in me the potential to be

a motivational speaker and life coach on a global level, among many other things. And a man of his stature doesn't often mentor many people. I was probably one of a group of about six young people that he took on. I was the only American and the only black female he took on. And I tell you, huge, huge visionary. He wore many hats and he was successful at so many things. And he also had a very strong prophetic voice.

I definitely would call him a prophet to the nations. And he certainly prophesied over my life and those things came to pass. He helped me launch my life coaching career overseas to a class of a thousand people. And he believed in what I do as a life coach from day one. And he wrote the forward to my book, True Grid. So I would say he's probably the first visionary I met, second visionary I met.

is a world renowned fashion designer for a label this world famous called North Face. And he does clothing for men and women. And he's a leather specialist. And his name is Robert Comstock. But he also designs adventure wear for North Face, which is something that skiers wear and people that go to the North Pole and the South Pole and places like that. He does incredible adventure wear. He wears many hats as a designer.

and he met me fresh out of university and he told me that I could do anything I wanted to do. And he has always been a part of my life. And anytime a book comes out that I write or any article that I've done and he reads it, he always is there patting me on the back saying, add a girl, add a girl, what's next? What's next? Don't get comfy here. What's next, Shar? And I'd say him.

Charlynne Boddie (:

I'd also say my mentor who's a Fortune 500 business consultant, he too is a prophet to the nations and an amazing author. He wrote the back cover quote for my second book, No Appointments Necessary. He's known me since my 20s. He's a world traveler. He has coached and mentored many in the business and Christian realms and his name is Morris Ruddock and he's the founder.

of Global Initiatives Foundation. And I would say there's some pretty heavy -hitting men in my life. As far as getting my grounding in the Lord, I would say the top Bible teacher in the world, who's a woman, who's 92 years of old today, years age today, is probably Marilyn Hickey, and she's still alive and still teaching. And of course, my mother, who always made sure that my sister and I

had the best private Christian education. Even though she was a single parent raising up four kids on her own, she never took a dime from the government. And she is an ordained minister and a PhD in biblical counseling today. And that is Dr. Sandra Boddy, my mother. So I would say she had such a huge impact on me as from a little girl, from a baby out of the shoot to know the word of God.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Wow. Love that. Think about your first book, True Grind. Share a personal story

Charlynne Boddie (:

as my basic instructions before leaving earth. And that's what I call the Bible. It's the B -I -B -L -E, which stands for the basic instructions before leaving earth.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

from your life that exemplifies the true grind principle.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yeah, well, it's actually True Grid and that's G -R -I -D for your listeners. So there's a grid that I use, a vision grid, and that's why I call it True Grid. But I tell everybody based on the Hollywood movie with John Wayne that you need True Grit, G -R -I -T, in order to get through True Grid. And I tell people that I even talk about in my book because I used to work in Hollywood and have my own show there. It was a film review person. So I talk about True Grit in the front of my book.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

to get the true gripe.

Charlynne Boddie (:

But I say you need that to do True Grid because the Lord showed me at a young age after a head -on collision with a drunk driver that purpose really has an anatomy. And I said, Lord, what's that? He said, it's got a body, soul, and spirit. And he took me to Psalm 139. He said, before any baby comes out of the birth canal, the Bible says, he's already written the book on that human life. And he said, let me unpack for you, Charlin.

the anatomy of the vision I have for every human being. And I thought, whoa, my gosh. So I sat there at my computer and I wrote out everything God told me and it became that book. And then that book is what I took to Europe to launch the life coaching thing. And that came after a head -on collision in my life where they had to cut me out of the car. Two cars hit me at one time and my body was between those two dents. So I got T -bone and I got hit head -on.

It was the beginning of six years of rehab, a brain injury, a spinal cord injury, and internal bleeding, Keith, that lasted for six years, much like the woman in the Bible with the issue of blood. She had it for 12 years, I had it for six. And there was a miraculous healing tied to that. And during that rehab is when God gave me the download for the book and the workbook that goes with the seminar for True Grid, which I call the extreme dream.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Wow. Right, wow.

Charlynne Boddie (:

because I believe that God has an extreme dream for every single person on the earth that's unique and specific to them that only they can fulfill. And it's my great joy to help people discover, if they don't know what it is, to discover why are they on planet earth?

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

I love that and you know, it's your book starts out with this vision grid

tool. So can you explain how you use that vision grid for your readers to help discover their purpose?

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yes.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yeah, well, whether you're reading the book on your own and going solo in your search on the journey for your vision, or whether you've called me to be your personal coach, whether it's group or one -on -one style, I show them a grid which has nine squares in it. And those nine squares have three squares per part of the anatomy of the dream, just as God showed it to me. So you have a body, you have a natural world that is part of your vision and your purpose in life.

you have a soulless realm, which is your mind, will and emotions. Then you have a spirit that is attached to that purpose. And that spiritual realm is something that's intangible. And yet it's marked within that is the DNA to manifest that living, breathing purpose that you have for planet earth and your time here before you're called home, you know, to God. And...

He showed me that within those three areas, there are three different timelines. I said, okay, Lord, what does that look like? And he said, you will have a column for the next 30 days in your life, which you can accomplish when you choose to partner with him. Then we look at the next one to six months after that. Then we look farther out and we forecast even more to one to five years. So that vision grid looks at where a person is now.

whenever that now is, and all the way to the next five years and what the Lord would like to accomplish in their life that marries up with their own desires.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

I love that. I work a lot with congregations in the vision process. And I remember what I started doing is when I began the process with a congregation is I show the highlights from the matrix.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yeah.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

You remember the scene with Morpheus and Neo? And I said, now, before we start on this vision path, you have to realize, do you want to take the red pill or the blue pill? One pill lets you stay where you are and just live, go in la la land and never really go beyond that. You take this other pill, you go in the rabbit hole and you see where it goes. And I always tell congregations, a vision from God is designed to scare you because that vision is way bigger than you are.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yes. yes.

Charlynne Boddie (:

That's right.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Absolutely.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

So if you're going to embark on God's vision, it's gonna look at something that's gonna look impossible for you to accomplish. So I always warn them, before you take this pill and say, yes, I wanna follow God's vision, realize it will scare you and it will be bigger than you.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yeah, it is bigger than us, always. It is usually something, Keith, that you and I would not ever dream up for ourselves. And that's when you know it's God, because one of the other courses I teach is how to hear God's voice. And I recently just taught that at a place called the Pentagon in Washington, D .C. Their chaplaincy course said, can you come talk to us about that, how you hear? That has had a huge impact on your life.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Right.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Mmm.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Can you teach it to army chaplains? I said, I can teach it to anyone because it's for everybody. The Lord wants relationship with all of us. And within that, he's gonna give you that purpose. But we gotta hear first. We gotta hear.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Right.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

So as you think about practical steps in that process, as you're helping someone try to align their lives with God's blueprint, what are some steps that you would encourage people to begin this process?

Charlynne Boddie (:

Well, the first thing I always say, Keith, is learn how to be still every day. Make that a habit, be still. Now, if you're a minister like you and me, and ordained and serving in that capacity under the Lord as our boss, then it might be more time than the average bear out there. But whatever time you can give God in stillness, making it consistent on a daily basis.

You're inviting the presence of God to abide around you in and through you. And he will use that, he will honor that to speak to you and help you steward the gifts and talents you have. If people come to me and they say, I don't know what my gifts and talents are, then we work on exercises to discover them spiritually as well as those that are natural gifts. We look back at that, we start rehearsing victories in people's lives. And I really try to encourage people to do that.

Rehearse the victories in your life because those giftings come out most strongly in your most victorious times, in those times that you are most proud of. If we unpack that, those victories, boy boy, are those gifts right there. They're hidden right there, spiritual and natural.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

in your most notorious times and those times that you are most proud of. If we unpack that, there's victory. Boy, boy, are those gifts right there. There's gifts right there. Spiritual and moral. Love that. We all love stories, especially stories of people who've accomplished this or have success. So can you give a share of testimony of someone who used the methods of true grind, true grit, I'm sorry, to transform their life?

Charlynne Boddie (:

That's okay.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yeah, well, boy, there's so many crazy stories. I have a lot of different celebrity stories, but I'll give you a tech one since we're living in a tech world. So a man and woman came to me before they got married and they asked me to do true grim with them to help discover whether they should get married. So they found out that they should through that. God spoke to them through that first weekend with me. They loved it so much that after their marriage, they came back to me at the five year mark.

and they said, in honor of our first five years of marriage, would you come do it with us again and dream cast with us again for our future? And at that time, there was a lot of financial problems. And the husband was an IT genius and he had just kind of wondered, you know, in working with other people, you know, could he possibly do something on his own? What might that look like?

So when we started dream casting with the Lord in the center of that retreat weekend with him and his wife alone with me, here we are sitting in this little castle out in the western part of the United Kingdom. And I prayed over them that night and the Lord spoke to me that he would like to give him a prophetic dream. And I prayed over them. I said, Lord, let so and so get this dream from you tonight, where he's still. A lot of times when we're most still is when we're sleeping and God will speak to us there through that.

There's nine different ways according to scripture God talks. And one of those nine ways is dreams. So that guy woke up the next day, Keith, he had a dream of an invention that didn't even exist yet. And that invention allowed him to create something that has now brought to the criminal courts of the world, a paperless court system, a way of storing court documents without paper. And it's in the cloud and it's IT related and it didn't even exist then it was frustrating for him.

He said, how in the world am I supposed to do it? Remember, you and I agreed, Keith, that God always gives you something bigger than you, and it's something you never dream up yourself. But this was a prophetic dream. And I prophesied over that dream that it would come to pass and that that invention would go global. And it just blew that guy's mind. He couldn't believe it. Well, guess what? In seven years' time,

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

And it's something you never dream up yourself. But this was a prophetic dream. And I prophesied over that dream that it would come to pass and that that invention would go global. And it just blew that guy's mind. You couldn't believe it. Well, guess what? In seven years' time, that invention was global. And every major corporate in the world was using it, from America to Africa.

Charlynne Boddie (:

That invention was global and every major courtroom in the world was using it from America to Africa, from Africa to Israel. I mean all over the world. And just a couple of years ago, he was able to sell that invention for millions of dollars to a US company. And it set him up for life in his 50s. He went from having incredible need for financial freedom.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Wow. Wow, that's an amazing story.

Charlynne Boddie (:

to having all the freedom he could ever want for him and his family.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yeah, true. And there are many like it. I mean, I've worked with several inventors and it's amazing to see what a human being can do in partnership with the Lord God above. We keep God in the center when we do that huge mountains move and big doors open.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

And it's amazing to see what human beings can do in partnership with the Lord God of us. We should God with senses. When we do that, we now move and his doors open. Wow. So your first book was written out of trauma.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yes it was! yes!

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Your second book appears to also have come out of trauma. Tell us about your new book.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. The new book is something that men really like. It's wild. It's seven countries of missionary adventures with me on the road. Crazy, wonderful, miraculous things. But some trauma is discussed there, like two kidnappings and a near beheading in a European country. And they are real stories. And people were with me off my ministry team that traveled with me. They could see these things. They were there, you know. So.

And of course the Denver Police Department can attest to my first kidnapping. Yeah, apparently I'm the only girl that lived with that perpetrator that got away, I mean to live the tale rather. I'm the only one that lived. All the other people did not make it.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

my goodness.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Well, so tell us about the title of No Appointments, sir. Tell us a little bit about the book and the layout of it and the stories and the countries you've been to.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Okay.

Okay.

Yes, well there's many countries I've been to. My publisher agreed with me at the time. She said, let's stick to seven. I said, I like that. Seven is God's number of completion. I said, we can do that. And so I took my travel journals. The Lord talked to me through three different prophets saying, there's a book in you that needs to come out that has not been done. And I got hounded and hounded by the men of God who were prophets that said, there's a book in you, you've got to get it out.

So I sat down and I asked the Holy Spirit again, being still, and I said, Lord, what do you want? And he said, get all of your travel journals out, all of them. And I said, all of them? God, that's a lot of journals. And he said, lay them out on the dining room table, and I'm gonna tell you which countries we're gonna unpack together. And I want you to rehearse the victories and the lessons learned on the road in these countries. So I started in America, I did Scotland and England, we did Germany, Italy.

Greece and Israel. And so when your viewers, should they try to grab a book, they will see no appointments necessary on Amazon. But when they open it up, the book is split up into seven parts by the country that is talked about. And every one of those countries has wild stories in it. So of course, the two kidnappings I lived through happened in America.

Charlynne Boddie (:

And then the near beheading incident happened in the United Kingdom. So all of those things and stories like it are in that book. But you also find out the huge miracles that happened when I went to Israel. And you know, it is called the Holy Land. And every time I go there, miraculous things happen to me right out of the Bible. That part is like, I guess you would say my life is a continuation of the Book of Acts. It is a continuation of the Book of Acts because,

I have an apostolic call in my life, which means my life is very similar to the kinds of things, the harrowing experiences and exciting things in God that Paul experienced. I mean, my life has been threatened 11 times and I have lived to tell the tale. Just like Paul says in the New Testament, I had this shipwreck, I had this, I had that. I was almost stoned to death. I was beaten. I mean, I have had very similar experiences to that as...

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

I mean, my life has been threatened 11 times and I have lived to tell the tale. Just like Paul says in the investment, I had this shipwreck, I had this, I had that. I was almost stoned to death and I was beaten. I mean, I have had very similar experiences to that as an apostle for the Lord.

Charlynne Boddie (:

an apostle of the Lord with a global of course calling and the Lord has saved me every time Keith. So when men and women read no appointments necessary and the sequel is coming by the way, because that's not all the countries I've been to. We just had a limit with my publisher at that point. Now my publisher says we're ready for the sequel. He said she said that was so much fun. What a ride. But it's a huge hit with men and.

many police chiefs around the world have sat with me and cops and first responders saying, my goodness, how did you get out of that? And I want to hear it from you. And hey, can I meet your assistant? Was she with you when that happened? And I'll say, yep, she was there. She was with me when that happened. And so we get to see how God can move with his children in various countries. You know, when we call upon the name,

you are calling upon the presence of the Most High God. And my goodness, we better be ready for what comes out after that. So I've had angelic visitation and all of that is in that book. And it's wild, it lets people know, y 'all the different ways God can speak to us. And there's scripture throughout. So they'll say, why did Sharr do that then? And I show you the scripture that actually matches.

that story, that actual testimony. So it's a lot of fun. It's a wild ride of a book, but it's all from the travel journals. And the Holy Spirit told me which stories to put in that book. And the sequel is coming.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

That book has to be one that I think that people who pick it up and maybe question whether God is active in your life would see him very actively involved in your situations. For someone who is struggling with their faith and think that God

Charlynne Boddie (:

Mm -hmm.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

is sleeping or is not paying attention, what would you have to say to them?

Charlynne Boddie (:

Well, one of the stories in the book talks about an 80 plus year old hippie who did not believe God was real. She'd gone through a lot. She hated every Christian. And yet in her dying days with stage four cancer begged me to be a part of her life at the last minute. And she said, there is no God. And she called me preacher. She never called me by my name. She called me preacher. She said, this is in a foreign country. This is in England. And she said, I don't even believe your boss is there, you know.

And I said, that's okay. You know, God never messes with free will. I said, you can believe what you want to believe. But I said, I know you've got a couple hours left to live and your family has called me here and I'm supposed to fly to America tomorrow. I said, so please can I pray for you? When I prayed for her, I prayed these words, Keith, and this is what I would say to your viewers, ask God to reveal himself to you. So I prayed that God would reveal himself to this woman and

Within the two hours of me leaving her and packing, I went home and was getting ready to fly out to America as I told her and her family. But I came that night when the doctor said, this is it. Whoever you want to have see her, she's going, she's fading. And she made the family leave. She said she wanted to die alone. She was quite contentious. And she went into her bedroom and everybody left. They thought, this is it. We'll find mom dead the next day. And she...

said that the Lord Jesus walked through the walls of her room and knocked her on her butt. And when she came to, Jesus was still there looking at her with eyes of love. And she said to me later, I'm a sinner. What was he doing there? I said, what did he tell you? She said, he told me he loved me. And she was crying. She stopped cussing Keith. She accepted the Lord Jesus as her savior. And her funeral was the most joyous celebration I've ever seen. She forbid people to wear black.

She wanted every color of the rainbow. She made amends with every Christian she had cursed her whole life. Anybody that was living, she said she was sorry. She went to the priest who she cussed out. She said she was sorry. And I came back six months later off of furlough and found out she was still alive and she wouldn't tell me over the phone what happened. And she got an extra six months. She was stage four cancer. She was supposed to be dead. She got an extra year of life. She lived six months.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Mm.

Charlynne Boddie (:

from the time that I left her. Then she got another six months to make amends. So she had an extra year of life when she was supposed to be dead and she had no pain. She died with a smile on her face. And when her time finally did come and I came back from that furlough and I went to see her, she said, I'm not gonna tell you over the phone, get over here. I got to her house, she said, I met your boss. I said, who's boss? She said, your boss. I said, how do you know it was my boss? She said, he knocked me on my damn ass is what she said.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

I said, who's boss? He said, you're boss.

I thought we were going home.

Charlynne Boddie (:

I said, what? I said, how do you know it was him? She goes, he walked through the damn wall, Shar. And I said, my gosh. He walked through the wall. She said, yep. The night you left me, right after you prayed for me, you prayed that God would reveal himself to me. He walked through the wall and I ended up on my rear end. And when I came to, he was still there. And she started weeping. She said, you didn't tell me at Eyes of Love.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

you

Charlynne Boddie (:

for a sinner like me, you didn't tell me that. I said, well, well, I said, if you had asked, I would have told you. I said, but you weren't listening to what I was saying then. She goes, well, I'm listening now. She said, I talked to him. I said, I bet you did. I bet you did. He walked through the wall and talked to her about how much he loved her. That was it. And she begged me to share the gospel with all her family members after that. Begged me.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Yeah.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Wow.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Wow, what a powerful story.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yet she said, please don't let them go where I was going. I know that I was a sinner. I need Jesus. And she must've been 89 years old at that time. And I mean, she had no desire to meet God until he met her himself. No one could take that away from her. She saw him, he touched her. She was like, my gosh, am I going home right now? He goes, no, you got things to do. You know?

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Right.

Charlynne Boddie (:

He said, how about you show some love to the same way I'm showing love to you right now. And it changed her. She became joyful. She stopped cussing. She started calling me by my name. I was like, who is this? She changed, I mean, I'm talking cantankerous, cussing like a sailor kind of woman. I mean, she didn't like anybody and nobody liked her and the family was always apologizing for the way she'd talk in front of me.

And I say, that's no matter to me. God can deal with all that. I'm concerned about her spirit. Where is she gonna go from here? he doesn't want me. He already has a place for me in hell. I don't care about him and all that. She's always saying, until he met her, until he walked through the wall. And people go, well, Shari, is that scriptural? Yes, it is. If we go to the gospels, Jesus walked through the door.

the upper room as they were hiding from the Jews because all the Apostles thought they were next. It says that Jesus came into a locked room. Now if Jesus could do that for his own disciples, I know he could do it for a lady that was in fact headed for hell.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Right.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Jesus could do that for his own disciples. I know he could do it for a lady. It was in fact headed for hell. Right. Wow, what a powerful story. Yeah.

Charlynne Boddie (:

And that's just one of the stories in that in no appointments, you know.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

That is so neat. I'm curious as you've got this second book out now and things are kind of happening in your life, what are you most excited about in this season of your life?

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yes.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Well, Keith, I'd have to say I've just moved back home from 18 years of missionary life overseas. And I would have to say I'm really excited about the new things. There are new cultures that have never heard me before online. Different language groups are reaching out saying, I want to know the God you serve. And so I'm having to brush up on my Russian right now because I do speak a little Russian and it's opened some crazy doors for me.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Yeah.

Charlynne Boddie (:

I'm excited about the new. That's what I would say to you. I've seen traces of where God's taking me now, and I'm sure it's to a Russian community in some way. They're really jerking my chain right now, letting me know that they're ready to know the God I serve, and I'm excited about that. I think I'm getting ready to do my first Russian TV show. So I'm excited about that, especially in these times where they're so, you know, challenging.

and so tumultuous around the globe for so many cultures. And so I'm just saying, Lord, I know there's a new assignment. Absolutely. My publisher is saying we want the next books. So I'm excited about that. Want to sit down and write the sequel to No Appointments and get those other countries of miracles out there for people to know that God's alive. The whole purpose behind that second book is to let people know God's alive and well, that he is coming back for us, that he does care about you, whether...

You've walked with God 50 years, whether you're like the woman I just described who did not want to know God or so she thought. And so I just can't wait for the new. It's been a very challenging time re -entering into America after 18 years overseas. This is a very different America than the one I left. And so I've had to really dig deep and say, OK, Lord, this next assignment, he said, it's not going to be like anything you've ever done.

If you had told me two weeks ago, I'd be talking to Russians all the time, I would have said, how is that going to happen? And that, in fact, is kind of where I'm at. That's a part of the new. And that's all I would say is that I'm ready for the new, the new assignment that God, even now as I speak to you and your viewers, is crafting right now.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Right.

As you think about the impact your life is having, what do you want your legacy to be?

Charlynne Boddie (:

boy, that's an amazing question. I would say that I want to make sure that people know his name. That even though I do a lot of different courses, I probably teach about six or seven different courses that seek to bring people to intimacy with Jesus Christ. I hope that people, when they think of me, they remember that I was pointing them to him, that people learned how to hear.

through my ministry and calling, hear his voice as a lifestyle, and that people absolutely stepped into the purpose that they themselves have individually and that they were able to steward their natural and spiritual gifts with gusto, bringing glory to the Lord. That is what I want my legacy to be.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Love that. As you wrap up our conversation, what key takeaways do you want our listeners to remember from our conversation?

Charlynne Boddie (:

I guess I'd say with what we started with, always start at the top with regard to your calling and purpose and those key influencers that God would lead you to. He will build a team of people around you to help you, but always start at the top because you're a son and daughter of the Most High God. That means you're a prince and a princess in an eternal kingdom without end. So we must always start at the top. I'd also say be still.

Whether it's five minutes a day, five hours a week, or an hour each day, God will honor you in the consistency you give him. And then thirdly, I'd say, Keith, make sure that you steward your gifts well in the natural realm and your spiritual gifts. Steward your gifts well, and I guess I gotta add one more. Be careful who you share your purpose and extreme dream with.

There are dream stealers out there and naysayers, and there are also people in the rafters that wanna cheer you on. Make sure that your circle of influence are those that cheer you on and lift you up. You want the balcony people and not the basement people in your life.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Love that. Where can people find your two books, True Grind and No Appointment Necessary and connect with you on social media?

Charlynne Boddie (:

They can reach out to me on Instagram at Charlin body and that's ch a R L Y in an e be for boy. double D I E Charlin body. I'm on LinkedIn Facebook and Instagram. I also have a website www .Charlin again ch a R L Y in an e comm and my books true grid. That's gr ID true grid is on Amazon

But also No Appointments Necessary is also on Audible, Amazon and Kindle. So if you don't feel like reading my book and you want me to read it to you, go to Audible. You'll get both books there.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Are you doing it also in Russian or just English?

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yeah, really, I'm sure they would love that right now. You know, it's that's an interesting thought. I think we'd have to have that translated for them. And I certainly have all the translators around me right now. So that that could certainly be done. I tell you, it's a very interesting thing. You never know again in stewarding your gifts where God is going to take you. I speak some Hebrew, Russian and lots of German because I graduated from a German high school.

have done a lot of ministry in Germany. So those are my main languages, English, German, Russian, and yes, lots of biblical Hebrew. And I'm just studying at Hebrew University off and on with my spoken Hebrew, because I'm a special ambassador to Israel that Israel trained for their country.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Wow, that's so cool. Just curious, as we kind of close this out, there are people I think who are thinking about Israel right now, since you've been there, are there insights that you could just share with the audience for, because we hear so much that we don't know what to believe or what not to believe, maybe with some insights from you who has some experience there.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yes.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yeah.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yeah, well, I will tell you that the news we have right now doesn't tell you the half of how much Israel does to help the world. In the Bible, in Genesis 12 .3, it says that those who bless Israel will be blessed and that those that curse Israel will be cursed. And that through that Abrahamic covenant, the whole world will be blessed. If we think about the country with the most Nobel Peace Prizes, it's Israel.

not Palestine or any of those other countries there, it's Israel, the number one amount of Nobel Peace Prizes. And as an ambassador, a special ambassador for Israel trained by them, I will tell you that the news is never gonna show you the hospitals that have both Palestinian and Israeli doctors helping the wounded. It's never gonna show you how much medical care Israel gives to wounded Palestinian families.

on a daily basis, been there, done that, seen it. I had the t -shirt and I come from the disaster world. So I definitely knew what I was looking at. You know, when I worked for two US presidents, they hired me to work on some of the largest US disasters being 9 -11. Bush called me to the White House for that. And President Clinton asked me to come be in his office for disaster and environmental relations during his tenure.

And that was some of the biggest disasters in the 90s that America had ever seen. I was there, including the Northridge earthquake, all of that. And, you know, that's what I got hired to do. And I will tell you that what Israel is doing with their pop -up hospitals, they have the fastest pop -up hospitals in the earth. And they go to any country for free and offer that. Why doesn't the news cover that?

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Well, I appreciate that because I think we were so isolated here. I appreciate your perspective on that.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yes. Yeah. And I'm getting stuff from the ground and, you know, work with leaders that are from the IDF, which is their army. And my goodness, that stuff that needs to be told, the media doesn't want to hear it. And people need to understand what happened on October 7th was an attack on Israel. They did not start the attack in Gaza. They are trying to defend their families and get their children back, the hostages back.

every day. They were the ones that were attacked. They were the victims. Not Gaza, not the Palestinians. They're just trying to protect their land.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

No, I appreciate that. Thank you for adding that little bit of information on the end of this, because we're very, we don't get enough information about what's really happening on the ground. So I appreciate when having people who know more to be able to share more. So thank you. Thank you for adding that content and context to the situation.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Truly, truly.

Mm -hmm.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Yeah, well, it's my job as a former news officer at the national, regional, local level in America and certainly as an ambassador for that special country. Therefore, a believer, it's where Jesus is going to put his foot on the Mount of Olives to come get us. We must help Israel any way we can. Any country that does, you will be blessed forever. We have God's word on it and we can take that to the bank.

It's impossible for him to lie. Impossible.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Well, yeah, definitely. Well, again, Sharad, thanks so much for this time and blessings on the work you're doing and blessings on your book. May they, we encourage the audience to go to Amazon and leave a review and rate the book so more people can find it. The more you do that, the more the book rises in the Amazon charts for people to find it and share it as well. So thank you for what you do.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Thank you.

Charlynne Boddie (:

Thank you Keith for having me. Always a pleasure to be with a brother in the Lord and a leader such as yourself. I'm honored. Thank you so much.

of Becoming Bridge Builders (:

Well, thank you.
