Making his way through the ranks in the REME Corps, Simon Brown experienced postings to Germany, Kosovo & Iraq. A kinetic second tour of Iraq led to him being shot in the face by a sniper, resulting in the loss of one eye, and 20% remaining vision in the other. Simon has become an inspirational force in multiple communities and outlets, coaching the Leeds Rhinos PD Rugby Team, becoming a councillor for Morley & working with Blind Veterans UK.
