New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced

33 new MTA police officers have graduated from the NYPD Academy.

These officers will patrol the system and prevent fare evasion.

Brightline is in talks to bring high speed rail between Orlando and Tampa,

and according to the Tampa Bay Times, they're close to getting it done.

The Hawaii Department of Transportation is starting a pilot program with

BEAP to provide autonomous shuttles at Honolulu International Airport.

And while we're in the second round of the National Hockey League playoffs, a

spirited competition has developed between Edmonton's Kansas City Carrie Houghton

McDonald and Vancouver's Kevin Quinn.

Their Oilers and Canucks are competing in a best of seven series, and the

losing teams transit leader has committed to wearing the rival team's

jersey on their commute to work.
