If you just looked at the standings, you would think everything at Paris Saint-Germain was going well. Unfortunately for Mauricio Pochettino, it's not good enough to just win, you have to do it with style and flair.

On this episode of The 1970, I'm joined by my co-host Marc Damon to discuss PSG's last two results and why some supporters believe it's time to make a change at manager.

We begin the show with a conversation about Pochettino. There's no denying that since the club's blockbuster transfer window, which saw the addition of Lionel Messi and several other world-class players, that the team has not hit the ground running. The offense looks sluggish, the midfield is often exposed, and the defense is often caught out of position. However, as Marc and I both explain, the results are there regardless of the performance and that alone has bought Pochettino some time to get things sorted out.

Next, we discuss PSG's 0-0 draw against rivals Olympique de Marseille. We start by addressing the outrageous fan behavior at the Orange Vélodrome and why something must be done before someone gets seriously injured. We also talk about Marco Verratti's injury, Achraf Hakimi's red card, and why Pochettino needs to stop starting Angel Di Maria alongside Messi, Neymar Jr., and Kylian Mbappé.

We close out this episode by talking about the narrow 3-2 win over RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League, whether Pochettino should move to a back three defensive line, and how the German side exposed PSG's defense multiple times with the same attack.
