In this episode of Fatherhood Field Notes with Ikaika Hoohuli, we chat about the making the big shift of moving your family out of state. He made this move to better his family's life as they found a place that fits better with their outdoor lifestyle. But he also made this move to take a chance on himself on building a new business. Amidst that he found joy in finding new interests and new identity in this new spot. He also talks about how early struggles in his marriage brought more growth and bonding for his marriage. I love his take on focusing on his children's futures and knowing that raising his kids now is preparing them to be strong balanced adults down the road. I love that he truly sees his family as a team that is fighting together - and coming out stronger as a result.
Each week Ned sits down with a dad and asks him to open up his field notes and share with other men who find themselves on the Adventure of Fatherhood.
