Hope you're all hanging in there, fam. In this episode, Minji sits down to chat with her friend, Dr. Chen Fu who is an attending physician at NYU Langone Medical Center in NYC. Besides having a beautiful voice and some impressive guitar skills that Minji witnessed at a Kollaboration Houston show many moons ago, Chen has tremendous brains and dedication that he pours into his role as a hospitalist. Even before his recent feature on Time.com sharing his experience being an Asian American doctor during this pandemic, Chen's commitment to his job in serving his patients was clear and absolute. He shares his thoughts on this unique defining moment for humanity as well as the beautiful ways everyday citizens are stepping up to be heroes in our darkest hours.

Listen to Inheriting from LAist & NPR
"Inheriting" is a show about Asian American and Pacific Islander families, which explores how one event in history can ripple through generations. In doing so, the show seeks to break apart the AAPI monolith and tell a fuller story of these communities. In each episode, NPR’s Emily Kwong sits down with one family and facilitates deeply emotional conversations between their loved ones, exploring how their most personal, private moments are an integral part of history. Through these stories, we show how the past is personal and how to live with the legacies we’re constantly inheriting.
