Today’s episode took me on a journey! I originally was approaching this episode to talk about the negative feedback that Martha Stewart has received from being on the cover of Sports Illustrated, hence the title “Martha, Martha, Martha”. It was then brought to my attention that this title was reflected in a bible verse. I was surprised to find that that bible verse mirrored the situation I was seeing happen in Martha Stewarts' negative feedback.
The message here is to notice where we, as women, are getting distracted by other women and not being present in our own life to acknowledge the gifts right in front of us. We often get so concerned by what others are doing and either shame them for doing it or telling ourselves we can’t do it as well. Remember when one woman shows greatness it benefits us all! The energy it takes to shame others takes away from our energy to build ourselves up. It’s time to stop and enjoy our gifts in front of us and join powerful conversations with other women that will boost all of us up!
