Hi everybody, welcome to Orange Hatter.

Today you'll be listening to part four of my conversation with Sanjana.

So, yeah, so that's what the app is.

We, we have this byte section where we also get, where users

get access to exclusive content.

So it's more about news and narratives and things that are going on, more relevant

to financial news or Bitcoin news or, or what's going on in that space now.

We also do, like, live Bitcoin classes.

And, and, and it's fun.

It's gamified.

So right now people, users start with two hearts.

So if you lose a life, you get locked out of the app, and then

you can get unlimited hearts.

So it is really fun.

It's just like, it's like learning for this generation.

It's, it's an addictive app, I would say.

But yeah, that's the gist of it.

And we have so many plans to, to grow it in different languages, to add more

development and gamification features.

And we have a lot of, yeah, we have a lot of plans.

It's, it's less than a year old already, so we're pretty happy

with where we are right now.

But we, we feel like we could take this a long way.

What has the reception been, especially when we're talking

about reaching women specifically?

So I'll talk about the reception in general, first.

We are not doing any paid advertising or any of that, now.

We're just, we're a bootstrapped company.

Eventually we'll be looking at fundraising and all of that, but

we're, we're obviously keeping the budgets a little limited.

But with what we've done organically, we've done phenomenally well.

I think we have over 4,000 users now, and we just went live about two months ago.

So, I think that's the greatest part about Bitcoin, is that you will get

such a passionate group of users and such a passionate community that we see

ourselves as an orange pilling tool.

Right?

So these people just...

without even incentives...

like, we, okay, we offer a referral code and all of that.

You get sats when you refer someone, but they so passionately will get

like 50 of their friends and family on board, just 'cause they think it's like

an eye-opener, and they want people to understand this and learn this.

So I think getting the traction is...

it has been great so far.

Definitely we're seeing good numbers.

I think on the aspect of women, it's definitely a little more difficult.

I do...

I am trying to make more of an effort to actively reach out to more women,

to find these women who maybe are not super interested in Bitcoin or who

are, but who are at least interested in taking a hold of their financial lives.

'Cause I think that's 90% of the women today.

Right?

I think there's so many more women working today.

They wanna know what to do with their savings, how to control their money.

So, I think it's, it's very hard to introduce Bitcoin to someone

who's never heard about it before.

That that is always a challenge.

'Cause again, I went through this, and for a year I was like, I don't care.

You know?

So I think that's where a lot of women are today, and I think it is

a challenge getting them on board.

But it is my personal mission to get more women into Bitcoin.

And not necessarily even use the app, just understand what Bitcoin is, because

it will make such a big difference to their lives when they, when they are

actually the more passionate group of people who wanna take a, take control

of their financial lives, right?

Like, men have been doing it.

They, they, they somehow just are known to understand economics and finance

better, but women just wanna know how to save and invest their money.

And it's amazing.

You'll see, you'll see so much more, so many more women coming to these

talks or, or starting businesses in the section, or just women-only startups in

financial literacy in general, you know?

So I, I think it's more of a challenge, but it's, it's, it's

also more of a fun challenge.

It's something that I definitely wanna pursue.

It's one of those target groups that I just wanna reach out to

and get into, and, and that again, just comes from orange pilling.

I feel like if you have those two or three women and...

on, on your app, like I, I have one, I have one girl I spoke

to last week from Venezuela.

And she's just so interested in the app and in Bitcoin, and she's like, I will

happily just host an event with 200 people I know and talk about Bitcoin.

You know?

And that, that passion is, that fire is in women.

It really is in women.

Because they will do it without the incentive.

They will do it without that reward.

Like, I, I wanna teach people about it and I, I don't care...

like, I don't, I don't wanna get paid for it, or I don't

want some kind of incentive.

I just, I just want more women to understand what it is because

it's just such a great tool.

Yeah.

I kind of compare it to like, when, when I find, when I find that some

store is having a wonderful sale, I'll be like, hey, guess what I heard?

There's a, there's a sale at this store, and you can get these amazing deals!

Look at this dress I got for like 75% off!

Kind of like that.

Like, we just...

That's such a good comparison.

Yeah, yeah.

We just have, and we're not, we're not telling our girlfriends

because we want a commission.

We're just telling our girlfriends because we're excited!

Yeah, 'cause we're so excited!

Right.

That, that's true.

That's, that's such a good comparison actually.

That's, we, we we're just so enthusiastic, you know, we want everyone on board.

Exactly.

Exactly.

So let's get into more women specific issues.

So if they come to your app, right, and they're just kind of curious...

where...

I've gone through chapter one, so I, I understand the, the

sort of bite-sized education.

Do you then, if they learn it and they're, they become curious,

because your information is more bite-sized, you almost need more

of a context around the concepts...

like the sort of, a real-life application kind of thing.

So where would you tell them to go, once they get onto your app, they do

chapter one, and they become intrigued?

So I think that's where we're gonna be introducing

this personalized experience.

We don't have that on the app yet, but eventually we want

users to create an account.

They go through the onboarding screens, and those onboarding screens will allow

them to answer a few questions, where they'll be able to say, okay, I, I'm a...

I'm a beginner in Bitcoin, or I know 95% of Bitcoin, I, this is what I

wanna learn, or, I'm learning because I wanna invest, or I'm learning

because I wanna get a job in Bitcoin.

So these are all plans on our roadmap that we wanna eventually implement.

But it's funny, because we have 400 classes on the

free part of our app, right?

And you would think that, okay, in, in, in a two minute class,

how much can you really cover?

But we're covering so much, and we're really getting into the nuances of

Bitcoin and financial literacy that we've had users come up to us and tell us...

and compare us to UC Berkeley courses or Coursera or these, these courses

that you're paying thousands of bucks for, and you're not learning anything.

So I think we're able to really capture all the content beginning...

like from A to Z and really get a beginner to an an, an advanced.

But I don't think that Bitcoin education ever stops, right?

Like, yes, you can learn about all the fundamentals,

understand the theory, whatever.

There's, there's mining, there's environmental, there's human

rights, there's all of that, but there's always the next step.

So that's kind of what we introduce in the byte section

where we're discussing narratives.

And that's where we, you become more of a community.

So we're quite active on our Telegram group and these live

Bitcoin classes that we just started.

But when people come onto these platforms, they actually get to

know each other and they like that sense of a Bitcoin community.

And I think that's our next step.

And that's what we're going towards, right?

We're, we're trying to orange pill the whole world, but

we're getting people together.

We're creating this, this social Bitcoin community, and there's a lot of different

ways we could go with this, right?

If, if people are more interested in the investing aspect, we could eventually lead

them to a platform or an inbuilt platform.

We could have our own wallet.

So I think business-wise, there's a lot to do, but it's, it's also very dependent

on where the Bitcoin landscape goes.

Because it's so different in each country with regulations, we're not

trying to advise people and tell people "this is how you invest, and this

is how you do it in your country."

We really want people to just learn Bitcoin, and like I

said, there's no end to this.

You can keep, you can keep going on.

There's so much material and there's so much education and it's one of

those things that's so new and it's always developing, so there's always

gonna be more to learn about Bitcoin.

But for now, at what stage our app is right now, I would say that you complete

all of the, all of the modules and chapters on the free part of the app,

and then you go into the byte section.

And that's where you get really deep into Bitcoin discussions.

We share resources.

We're trying to get experts in the field to talk, so that's when we're,

like, taking everything to a whole new level and, and creating this community

and, and getting everyone into this...

yeah, into this bitcoin social networking kind of, kind of thing.

I love that vision.

And thank you for explaining the journey, because I know that I am

simultaneously short on time, but also want like a quick understanding

of everything at the same time.

So would you say...

if...

to someone who's just coming across your app to be patient?

And just trust that you will take them all the way to where they wanna go?

Yeah, for sure.

Um, and, and there's a lot of enthusiastic users who've gone through all the content

in our, on our app, you know, in a month.

And they're like, okay, what's next?

But for the majority, I would still say that there is enough content there.

So make your way through it.

Really take your time to understand a class.

One class is two minutes.

So just, once you understand the fundamentals, you'll be able to understand

so much more of what's going on.

You, even when you read the financial news tomorrow, just 'cause you know

the, the fundamentals of Bitcoin, you'll be able to understand that better.

Then there's no end.

Then there's just so much you can get into in financial literacy in general.

So definitely trust us to take you through the whole journey.

There's a lot more content coming.

And yeah, we're not gonna stop.

We're gonna keep educating.

So we're, we're very excited about it.

That's so awesome.

I can't wait to dig into it myself.

One last question.

What would you recommend to someone who's still sitting on the fence

after listening to all of this?

I would say that just be open, and just be a little passionate

about learning something new.

I understand that something like Bitcoin can be very overwhelming.

I think most of us have been there.

It's a very different journey for men and women.

I think for men, they get so excited about the hype of cryptocurrencies and how

much money you can make in a day and sell your, you know, your token, your currency

the next day, and just make, like...

10 x your money.

But I, that, that's not how we look at Bitcoin.

You know, try to just understand that Bitcoin is really more than an investment.

It's a form of money.

It's a financial empowerment tool.

It's the solution to a lot of what we're...

a lot of the financial issues we're facing today.

Yeah.

And just, you know, go onto our app.

Just do that, that one, or...

those one or two modules or chapters on, on the basics of Bitcoin.

And I promise you, you, you'll be interested.

It's, it's too...

it's, it's, it's amazing.

It's, it's, it's not something you can just ignore, and it's not something where

we present the content in a dry way.

Because we know that a lot of people getting into this space, they're

just bored, and they're just like...

the language is just too difficult or something, you know?

So we really try to simplify the language, make it fun, make it easy.

And just, yeah, and just trust that there's a better solution

to what's going on today.

'Cause I, I, I don't think people are this ignorant and this unaware of what's

going on in, in the financial world.

I, I, I think whatever country you're from and whatever society you're from,

there's all countries have issues.

And I cannot emphasize that Bitcoin can be a solution.

So just, just, take those...

take a week to just try to learn about it, and you will want to go down the rabbit

hole and just learn A to Z, for sure.
