Still don't know what we're talking about.
Speaker B:Oh, my God.
Speaker A:But that's okay.
Speaker A:It's gonna come to me in just the right moment.
Speaker A:It's gonna be great.
Speaker B:I believe in you.
Speaker A:Thank you.
Speaker A:I appreciate that.
Speaker A:That's what I need.
Speaker A:All I need is a little faith.
Speaker A:It's like a mustard seed.
Speaker A:They say even though I'm not God, I'm just not.
Speaker B:Oh, my God.
Speaker A:But he has me now.
Speaker B:I have.
Speaker B:Now I have the idea to put Faith Evans under it.
Speaker B:Is it strange that I.
Speaker B:Even when I'm not around anybody, I have to put my oils on.
Speaker A:No.
Speaker A:I spray cologne on.
Speaker A:I literally, as we know, leave this house 1% of my life.
Speaker A:I am in here every day, smelling sensational, like it just without cease.
Speaker A:Like, it's just a part of my.
Speaker A:It's a lifestyle.
Speaker B:I'm stupid.
Speaker A:No, because I knew you were gonna be like, wait, you can't.
Speaker A:Like, it's.
Speaker B:You always did.
Speaker A:Like, I'm over here cracking up, and it's like, what's up, King?
Speaker A:I'm like, okay.
Speaker A:A gag reel would be sensational, though.
Speaker A:Like, give me some bloopers, because, like, we got some for sure, but, like, we don't even need episodes.
Speaker A:Go post the.
Speaker B:The gag reel that week where I was up here with the microphone.
Speaker A:Condom.
Speaker B:Oh, my God.
Speaker A:Okay, let's go.
Speaker B:You know how, like, I think that's how I'm, like, touched with a little bit of the tism.
Speaker B:I'm sorry.
Speaker B:That was.
Speaker B:That should not be that funny to me.
Speaker B:I think I am, because I. I know that a lot of them don't like to hear certain sounds, and it's like, it really irritates them.
Speaker B:It's like me with dragging other feet and, like, dragging.
Speaker B:It's like dragging things, like, really, like, oh, my God.
Speaker B:Because I'm touched with the tism.
Speaker B:And you find that funny because I've.
Speaker A:Never heard it referred to that way because of issue.
Speaker A:Touched with the tism.
Speaker A:Have mercy.
Speaker A:Oh, my God.
Speaker B:Just a little bit.
Speaker A:And that's okay.
Speaker B:I was walking with.
Speaker B:I was walking with that man that I said, I shall never see again.
Speaker B:And we were walking to the store, and it was just like, oh, my God.
Speaker B:Pick up your feet.
Speaker B:Didn't even whisper that.
Speaker B:Didn't even whisper it.
Speaker B:I'll say that.
Speaker B:And walk past people who are dragging their feet.
Speaker B:Pick up your feet.
Speaker B:Are you ready?
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker A:Give us the fan.
Speaker A:No, at.
Speaker A:Starting at 36 minutes, pushing forward.
Speaker A:Everything before.
Speaker A:Now just go.
Speaker B:No, this.
Speaker B:This is.
Speaker B:This.
Speaker B:I already know what I'm going to keep in it.
Speaker B:I'll be having ideas as we go.
Speaker A:But no, I was going to say give it a lot of fanfare since this is a big deal for the season.
Speaker B:Give what a lot of fanfare?
Speaker A:Libra season, as this will be the first episode during the season.
Speaker A:Seems like you already had a plan.
Speaker A:Seems like you already had a plan.
Speaker A:I'll let you cook.
Speaker B:This is the one that I already had an idea that I wanted.
Speaker B:This.
Speaker B:I want to make sure that I put the visuals out for this.
Speaker B:I'm tired of being like Beyonce, baby.
Speaker B:You are the visual.
Speaker A:Walida.
Speaker B:Listen, listen.
Speaker B:Y' all here getting microphones and sounding foolish.
Speaker A:This.
Speaker B:This is not just another podcast where two men are talking about bullshit and don't make any sense.
Speaker A:This is.
Speaker B:This is a real, real conversation for real adults.
Speaker A:Wah.
Speaker A:What's.
Speaker B:Waheeda?
Speaker B:What are we even talking about?
Speaker A:What are we even talking about?
Speaker A:Listen to it now, because you want.
Speaker B:To know what we're talking about.
Speaker A:You ready, girls?
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:It says success.
Speaker B:I'm like, what does it say?
Speaker B:Suck.
Speaker B:Suck down here, suck below.
Speaker B:No.
Speaker B:What made you get success on your.
Speaker A:Chest at 29 years old?
Speaker A:I got a 4.0 my first semester in college, and I was like, yep, it's only up from here.
Speaker A:No, seriously, that's why I got it.
Speaker B:Not.
Speaker A:You took off.
Speaker B:That's really why.
Speaker A:That's really why I got it.
Speaker B:It's the weakest.
Speaker B:It's all the way up here.
Speaker B:It's only up here.
Speaker B:Meanwhile, that's like, when people talk about tramp stamps.
Speaker B:And I. I have, like, they got tramp sets in the back, and I have a trap stamp on my front.
Speaker B:So they're like, oh, yeah, I don't want to back transat.
Speaker B:Pay attention to this front area because it tells you where to go down.
Speaker A:Halle.
Speaker B:Hallelujah.
Speaker B:You've seen it, right?
Speaker A:I don't know.
Speaker A:I probably haven't just not paid attention.
Speaker A:That's hard to miss.
Speaker B:Maybe that's how I used to get like, people used to.
Speaker B:So you're on vine stroking, so.
Speaker B:Yeah, that's.
Speaker B:You like.
Speaker A:Oh, very, very, very.
Speaker B:I drew it.
Speaker B:So, yeah, noticeable.
Speaker A:There should be, like, arrows.
Speaker A:Just.
Speaker B:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker B:So I originally drew it, and it was supposed to be here, and then it was gonna go around my thigh and upward.
Speaker B:That was too painful.
Speaker B:Excuse me.
Speaker B:I'm so gassy.
Speaker B:Why are you so tickled?
Speaker B:So gassy.
Speaker B:Excuse me.
Speaker B:No.
Speaker A:Who's the.
Speaker B:Which?
Speaker B:I know that you do that, and I was trying not to laugh, but Mr.
Speaker B:Caught me off guard.
Speaker B:I can't help it.
Speaker B:It's part of my tism.
Speaker B:Leave me alone.
Speaker B:Sorry.
Speaker A:Oh, okay.
Speaker A:We're back.
Speaker A:And we're back.
Speaker A:Stop before you make me scream.
Speaker B:Oh.
Speaker A:Oh, it all.
Speaker B:The hell it was.
Speaker B:Not that funny.
Speaker B:No, not that.
Speaker A:It's just a cluster of things.
Speaker A:I'm still on the song.
Speaker A:There's that.
Speaker A:It's the tism.
Speaker A:It's a lot.
Speaker A:We're gonna call this episode Libras and the Lies They Tell.
Speaker A:Let's go.
Speaker B:What's up?
Speaker B:Oh, why did my mic move?
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker B:What's up, King?
Speaker A:What's up, sir?
Speaker B:I don't know you.
Speaker B:It was me.
Speaker A:I don't know.
Speaker B:Very.
Speaker A:Felt very picky in the brain for.
Speaker B:A minute there, like.
Speaker A:What's up, King?
Speaker B:Take two.
Speaker B:What's up, King?
Speaker A:What?
Speaker B:Why did I do that?
Speaker B:I don't know.
Speaker A:What's up, sir?
Speaker A:I don't know.
Speaker B:Take three.
Speaker B:What's up, King?
Speaker A:What's up, sir?
Speaker B:Okay, for real.
Speaker B:What's up, gang?
Speaker A:What's up, sir?
Speaker B:And what's up?
Speaker B:To all you people, welcome to the what Are We Even Talking About?
Speaker B:Podcast, where every other week we take.
Speaker A:Turns choosing the topic unbeknownst to the other.
Speaker B:So, yeah, y' all know the conversation is authentic, you know, unrehearsed, and most.
Speaker A:Importantly, a safe space for friends to.
Speaker B:Be vulnerable and apparently to laugh at the other's tism.
Speaker B:So.
Speaker A:I walked right into that.
Speaker B:Yeah, so go ahead, y'.
Speaker B:All.
Speaker A:You know what?
Speaker B:For real talk, though.
Speaker B:Get your motherfucking cocktails.
Speaker B:Don't, don't, don't.
Speaker B:If you don't have.
Speaker B:If you don't drink, sit down.
Speaker B:Go somewhere.
Speaker B:No, no, you.
Speaker B:You.
Speaker B:You're welcome.
Speaker B:You can get your mom, please.
Speaker B:Listen, don't leave, okay?
Speaker B:But get ready to.
Speaker B:You have.
Speaker B:You should.
Speaker A:Get ready to find out.
Speaker A:What are we even talking about?
Speaker B:Apparently this one here has lost his mind.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:What are we even talking about?
Speaker B:My God.
Speaker B:Say, full disclosure.
Speaker B:We have been sitting here for an hour being silly, so forgive us.
Speaker B:I did have something that I wanted to say, and as I said, I have to do this.
Speaker A:Before you say it, I'm gonna say, it's your boy, sir.
Speaker A:Pj, AKA Philip James.
Speaker A:But PJ works fine.
Speaker B:That's not what I was gonna say.
Speaker B:Okay, as I was gonna say, it's your boy, sir.
Speaker B:Pj, AKA pj, AKA King Libra.
Speaker B:I've been waiting to put this.
Speaker B:I've been waiting to put this crown on since we started.
Speaker A:Hold on.
Speaker A:Meanwhile, don't have fun.
Speaker B:Come on, Come On Blaine.
Speaker B:It's.
Speaker A:It's for my birthday cake.
Speaker B:Come on.
Speaker B:Listen, this is, this is really giving men on films right here.
Speaker A:It won't sit on my head.
Speaker A:So we're not.
Speaker B:But yes, yes.
Speaker B:And who are you?
Speaker B:Did you say who you were?
Speaker A:I did not.
Speaker A:I said who you are.
Speaker A:I am Christopher, AKA King Christopher, also known as Figure it out.
Speaker A:It's not my problem to explain it to you.
Speaker B:Oh, you know, can we just get into that for a second?
Speaker B:Can we, can we just get into like people figuring this shit out on theirself on their own.
Speaker B:Like, baby, figure it out because I'm not.
Speaker B:You're not paying me for the hour.
Speaker A:Or someone else with your questions.
Speaker B:Like, seriously, that gave very scar.
Speaker A:Definitely wasn't Miranda Priestley.
Speaker A:Have mercy.
Speaker B:How was your week?
Speaker B:How have you been?
Speaker A:My week, so it's been bittersweet.
Speaker A:I put in my three week notice at my job because I am leaving and if God says the same, I'm never coming back.
Speaker A:And so yeah, I have been really excited about that.
Speaker A:But also I think the universe knows that it's time and that I cannot afford to quit.
Speaker A:So it is sending every test and trial that it possibly can to get me to wanna.
Speaker A:Because I have been ready to walk about this.
Speaker A:I literally sat online the other day looking for loans to see if I could get approved for a loan because I was like, if I just had $3,000 right now, I'm gonna tell them where they can stick it.
Speaker A:But being that that was not my circumstance and my credit is not in its best shape, I have to stay and for at least another two weeks and kind of rock it out.
Speaker A:So it's been rough with work just because I haven't felt like doing it.
Speaker A:I've literally gotten out of bed every day at whatever time I've gotten out of bed.
Speaker A:Like it never gave 7 to 3:30 at all.
Speaker A:Not once this week.
Speaker A:But yeah, we got out of bed.
Speaker B:When we could and we did the.
Speaker A:Best we could and we dilly dallied and bullshitted and now we got a lot of to do on Monday.
Speaker A:But it's okay.
Speaker A:That was just one part of the week.
Speaker A:Outside of that, I have been existing in a space of tremendous gratitude.
Speaker A:I got two new credit cards, made some very irresponsible purchases.
Speaker B:As you just said, your credit ain't.
Speaker A:It didn't get in bad shape by me doing making good choices.
Speaker A:Like, we're here, we know what's going on.
Speaker A:But yes, two new credit cards, some very irresponsible purchases.
Speaker A:I've just been, you know, trying my best to create balance as we enter into this season.
Speaker A:In a moment, PJ is going to tell you what season that is.
Speaker A:If you've been living under anything, I won't even say a rock because how you got under there.
Speaker B:But.
Speaker A:Yeah, it's been a week.
Speaker A:It has been a week.
Speaker A:It's not been bad, though.
Speaker A:I won't say I, because I. I remember one time you were like, how's your week been?
Speaker A:And I was like, it's been a nightmare from hell.
Speaker A:And I thought that for a second, and I was like, no, it hasn't been that.
Speaker A:It just hasn't been that awesome because I have not felt motivated in any way to work, but it's been cool.
Speaker A:How has your week been?
Speaker B:You know what?
Speaker B:So here's the crazy thing.
Speaker B:Listening back to the last episode we did, I'm in a much better headspace.
Speaker B:My God.
Speaker B:There are moments where I'm like, girl, what are you going through?
Speaker B:Like, are you okay?
Speaker B:Me being girl?
Speaker B:You can't call me girl.
Speaker B:FYI, y' all out there.
Speaker B:But I'm.
Speaker B:I'm.
Speaker B:I was.
Speaker B:It's been a good week.
Speaker B:It's been.
Speaker B:It's been.
Speaker B:It's been a week of.
Speaker B:Revelations.
Speaker A:Yes, revelations.
Speaker B:You know, it's been a.
Speaker B:It's been a week of.
Speaker B:Yeah, I'm good.
Speaker B:I don't need you.
Speaker A:Have you been tapping into costar?
Speaker B:I have.
Speaker B:Let's join.
Speaker A:She been a fickle this week, and I'm like, girl, based on what you just told me the two other two weeks ago when I blocked that, now, it seemed like you telling me to give him a chance that I can't go unblock him now.
Speaker B:Mind you, this.
Speaker B:You know, you cruddy.
Speaker B:You are ready to get physical.
Speaker A:Is that what it.
Speaker A:Is that what it says?
Speaker B:Stop planning and start doing.
Speaker B:Your body has been waiting for permission to act.
Speaker B:The perfect moment doesn't exist.
Speaker B:This awkward, imperfect one will do just fine.
Speaker A:I'm not going to scream.
Speaker A:So mine says, it is possible to have a relationship with no drama.
Speaker A:Someone is offering you exactly what you've been looking for.
Speaker A:But because they're not playing hard to get, you're suspicious.
Speaker A:Stop looking for red flags.
Speaker A:Sometimes people just like you.
Speaker A:I don't know who she talking to, but she not talking to me.
Speaker A:Because ain't nobody at this point in my life expressing that they like me.
Speaker A:And if they are, it's probably somebody that I'm not suspicious of.
Speaker A:I just don't take that seriously.
Speaker A:So I'M not paying them no attention.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:Nice try, sis.
Speaker A:Not this time.
Speaker A:She had been guiding me for a minute.
Speaker A:I was like, okay, costar might become a life coach.
Speaker A:But yeah, no, wait, hold on.
Speaker B:I gotta go to my screenshots.
Speaker A:You know, I'll be.
Speaker A:Screenshot.
Speaker A:I have literally for like the past several weeks been like, yeah, let's see what this is talking about.
Speaker B:And I feel like they've deleted screenshots in the media types.
Speaker B:Oh, no screenshots.
Speaker B:Here it is.
Speaker B:This one said.
Speaker B:And this is what got me.
Speaker B:I was like, come on now.
Speaker B:This is.
Speaker A:This is.
Speaker B:This is exactly how I've been feeling last week.
Speaker B:Nobody gets to tell you who you are.
Speaker A:I know that's right.
Speaker B:And that right there.
Speaker B:You spent years polishing yourself according to the people, according to other people's specifications.
Speaker B:Their criticisms became your inner voice.
Speaker B:That isn't.
Speaker B:That voice isn't yours.
Speaker B:It never was.
Speaker B:It's time to speak up for your own.
Speaker B:And that's how I've been feeling last week.
Speaker B:Like, I feel like I was going through a lot of stuff internally and, you know, mentally going through all these little, you know, thoughts and whispers in my.
Speaker B:My head.
Speaker B:Not.
Speaker B:Not actual whispers.
Speaker B:People.
Speaker B:Like, I don't hear voices all the time, but it was very much like other people's opinions were really starting to weigh on me.
Speaker B:And I'm good now.
Speaker A:This is how she a fickle bitch.
Speaker A:September 7th.
Speaker A:You know best.
Speaker A:Who to keep on the team and who to cut.
Speaker A:That inner voice telling you who to trust and who to distance from isn't paranoia.
Speaker A:It's your built in radar working perfectly.
Speaker A:The people who call you too suspicious are the ones with something to hide.
Speaker A:Trust your gut today.
Speaker A:Cut cleanly.
Speaker A:I didn't listen to that and block that that day.
Speaker A:And two days later he showed me why I should have blocked him when she told me.
Speaker A:Now the talking about some.
Speaker A:Sometimes people just like you, girl.
Speaker A:Figure it out.
Speaker A:Because I'm tired of going back and forth with you.
Speaker A:I really think going back and forth.
Speaker B:So.
Speaker B:So as you said that I was gonna let everybody know.
Speaker B:So number one, y' all are.
Speaker B:How y' all guys doing?
Speaker B:Because I hope that y' all guys are gonna find because it is officially.
Speaker B:Officially libra season, father.
Speaker A:Libra season too.
Speaker B:Okay?
Speaker B:And if any.
Speaker B:If your granddaddy look good.
Speaker B:Granddaddy I.
Speaker B:A couple of granddaddies in my day.
Speaker B:But are y' all okay?
Speaker B:That's all I really want to know.
Speaker A:Because have I ever a granddaddy.
Speaker A:Hold on.
Speaker A:I'll think about It.
Speaker A:Go ahead, talk to the people.
Speaker B:Ladies and gentlemen, so we're warning you right now, this episode may kind of be all over the place, but it is Libra season, so, you know, hey, the.
Speaker B:We talk about everything.
Speaker B:We're.
Speaker B:We're.
Speaker B:We're.
Speaker B:We're a plethora of things.
Speaker B:I'm just going to talk about all the things that I've gathered from being observant of all you others out there, so.
Speaker B:But I'll wait for my segment for that.
Speaker A:Oh, you sucker MCs.
Speaker A:I'm sorry.
Speaker A:But yes, now that we're here, I'm gonna go ahead just so I can get this out of the way, because this is going to be the least of the conversation, because if you did not know, if you have not been keeping up.
Speaker A:It is my week to choose the topic.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:So I'm gonna ask you a couple of questions.
Speaker A:They're gonna be rapid fire.
Speaker A:It's a little this or that.
Speaker A:You're gonna tell me what you feel, and I'm gonna respond with the same.
Speaker A:So really quickly.
Speaker A:This or that?
Speaker B:This.
Speaker A:And these are a little fun and a little random and a little bit quirky.
Speaker A:Oh, he's pulling it out.
Speaker A:He's dusting it off.
Speaker A:Give him a second, y'.
Speaker B:All.
Speaker A:He's gonna.
Speaker A:Oh, he put it back in, and now it's back in there.
Speaker A:Oh, he's tapping it.
Speaker A:Okay, really quick.
Speaker B:My earphones, y'.
Speaker B:All, My earphones.
Speaker A:One of his AirPods was giving him trouble.
Speaker A:He took it out.
Speaker B:You know what it is?
Speaker B:Because for some reason, and I know this happens, I. I don't know if I'm the only one like this, but when I talk, my ears move.
Speaker B:And when my ear.
Speaker B:When my right ear moves, the airpod shifts.
Speaker A:So you was dreaming of genie.
Speaker A:All right, so really quickly.
Speaker A:Karaoke or dancing?
Speaker B:Karaoke.
Speaker A:Same.
Speaker A:Roller coasters or haunted houses.
Speaker B:Waiting outside.
Speaker A:If you had to choose one.
Speaker B:Roller coasters opposite.
Speaker A:Give me that haunted house any day.
Speaker B:Punch you in the face.
Speaker B:I am terrified of clowns.
Speaker A:I have been skydiving twice.
Speaker A:Some of the most fun roller coasters get on my nerves.
Speaker A:Like, the anxiety is just too crippling.
Speaker A:Sneakers or dress shoes?
Speaker B:Sneakers.
Speaker A:Same.
Speaker A:I want to be.
Speaker B:Maybe.
Speaker B:I may be in my.
Speaker B:I may be in my mid-40s, but I ain't there yet.
Speaker B:I ain't wearing dress shoes with sleep with jeans or a tracksuit.
Speaker A:I'm here.
Speaker A:Ice cream or cake?
Speaker B:Cake.
Speaker A:Right now.
Speaker A:Cake, too.
Speaker A:I' ma skip that one because I already know.
Speaker A:Nope.
Speaker A:I'm just gonna Ask you because I want the people to hear your answer.
Speaker A:Cats or dogs?
Speaker B:Oh, dogs.
Speaker B:Cats are demons.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker B:Cats steal your soul while you're asleep and they get mad because you didn't do what they say.
Speaker A:Same.
Speaker A:Let's see.
Speaker B:Sorry for all you cat people out there.
Speaker B:I said what I said, y'.
Speaker B:All.
Speaker A:Instagram or TikTok.
Speaker B:Blair would be so happy for me to say this, but tick tock now.
Speaker A:Same, same, same every day, all day.
Speaker A:It's kind of become my little.
Speaker A:My little space of solace.
Speaker B:I've like, realized I have not posted on Instagram in God knows how long.
Speaker B:Like my birthday, I think last year.
Speaker A:One more and I want your answer and then I want you to guess mine.
Speaker A:Gold or silver?
Speaker B:Silver and gold.
Speaker B:Yeah, I would say silver for you as well, friend.
Speaker A:Look at me.
Speaker B:Look at me, baby.
Speaker B:You are gold down.
Speaker B:Yeah, that's your gauges or gold.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker A:For a while I was like, in this space of like, everything was silver because I had a partner that would buy me jewelry and it would all be silver.
Speaker A:So, like, I had gold necklaces and rings and like, at some point, like, I don't know, I got.
Speaker A:I think I just started seeing it and it just started giving like royalty, African, all the vibes and I just started embracing that.
Speaker A:Chocolate and gold.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker B:Come on.
Speaker B:The emperor's clothes.
Speaker B:The emperor's new clothes.
Speaker B:You were like, okay.
Speaker A:Meanwhile, lately, for those that don't know, you can't see it because it's blurred.
Speaker A:I have been growing through what I am going through and I feel great.
Speaker A:It's a.
Speaker A:It's a little bumper sticker thing on my Stanley.
Speaker A:It says, grow through what you go through.
Speaker A:My sister in law said to me the other day, she was like, what if I don't want to grow through what I go through?
Speaker A:I said, girl, will you see that?
Speaker A:She was like, on your cup.
Speaker A:You just putting stuff on your cup.
Speaker A:You don't know it's there.
Speaker A:I said, girl, I forgot.
Speaker A:I don't know what I said to you 10 minutes ago.
Speaker A:I damn sure don't know what's on this cup.
Speaker A:But yeah, what you got for the people?
Speaker B:So because it is officially libra season.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker B:I'm gonna bring it back to one of my favorites.
Speaker B:Okay, Y' all ready for this?
Speaker B:Get up on my face.
Speaker B:Okay, so we have waited a full year for this time to come.
Speaker B:And every single year when we wait for our season, y' all always got something to say.
Speaker B:Get up on my face.
Speaker B:Because we ain't say we ain't say, during Aries, all the way up into Virgo season, we didn't say.
Speaker B:Okay, we ain't say shits during Sagittarius and all the other people, we ain't say.
Speaker B:We just let y' all have it.
Speaker B:But the moment that it becomes Libra season, all you hating ass hoes always got something the to say, and what y' all not gonna do is get in the way of royalty.
Speaker B:Okay, get up on my face.
Speaker B:I think that might be the only one I got.
Speaker B:No, it's.
Speaker B:And I love that.
Speaker A:Oh, keep it coming.
Speaker A:Because I was gonna say.
Speaker A:No, no, not.
Speaker A:I wasn't saying I love it because I don't like it.
Speaker A:I was gonna say I love it because all I could hear in my head was Mary J. Blige on that stage.
Speaker B:Why you all hit my grill?
Speaker B:Give it up to the fact.
Speaker B:Oh, my God, she was so.
Speaker B:She was so lit back in the day.
Speaker A:What in the world?
Speaker A:Okay, go ahead.
Speaker B:Another one.
Speaker B:All of you out there who don't listen to when a Libra tells you something and then you find out later.
Speaker B:Get up on my face.
Speaker B:I told you this already.
Speaker B:We don't want to be I told you so people.
Speaker B:But, nigga, what the fuck you expect?
Speaker B:Get up in my face when I tell you that there is something wrong with that person.
Speaker B:I just can't put my finger on it.
Speaker B:You better run a run.
Speaker B:You want to go ahead and find out now?
Speaker B:You better find out.
Speaker B:Hold on, y'.
Speaker B:All.
Speaker A:PJ just took off.
Speaker A:He couldn't take it.
Speaker A:Oh, no.
Speaker B:Give him a minute.
Speaker A:He's on the way back right now.
Speaker A:Here he comes.
Speaker A:He's sitting down here.
Speaker B:My favorite Whitney moments.
Speaker B:I don't move the mic.
Speaker A:Have mercy.
Speaker B:Rest in peace.
Speaker B:On Nippy.
Speaker B:And lastly.
Speaker B:And I'm.
Speaker B:I mean.
Speaker B:I mean this from the bottom of my heart.
Speaker B:We don't care.
Speaker B:You see our face, okay?
Speaker B:You make your dumb choices.
Speaker B:Don't ask us for advice, and then don't take it.
Speaker B:And the advice we give you is very good advice.
Speaker A:So what?
Speaker B:We don't take it for ourselves.
Speaker B:It wasn't about us.
Speaker B:It was about you.
Speaker B:Get up in my face.
Speaker B:Ask somebody else.
Speaker B:Leave me alone.
Speaker B:This has been brought to you by Libras.
Speaker A:Also brought to you by Pad.
Speaker B:There was no path here.
Speaker B:This is the.
Speaker B:This is things I've been thinking about.
Speaker B:I've been in the bathroom.
Speaker B:I've been saying.
Speaker B:I actually meant to write everything down, but because it's Libra season, I'm like, I'm gonna remember every Single one.
Speaker B:Of course I do.
Speaker B:I did, and I will.
Speaker B:And another thing.
Speaker B:Y' all like how I got just always.
Speaker B:They just keep coming because it just pops in my head.
Speaker A:Okay, come on past.
Speaker A:I gotta get out this traffic.
Speaker A:You.
Speaker B:It is officially Libra season.
Speaker B:Scorpio.
Speaker B:Shut the up.
Speaker B:Okay, we just got here.
Speaker B:You heard me?
Speaker B:Okay, I'm sorry.
Speaker B:That was aggressive, Amber.
Speaker A:Aggressive.
Speaker B:Sorry.
Speaker A:Sorry.
Speaker B:Because.
Speaker B:And so.
Speaker B:And here's.
Speaker B:Here's the other reason why.
Speaker A:Sorry to this man.
Speaker B:Here's the other reason why.
Speaker B:Now, Scorpios, don't get all offended.
Speaker B:Don't get all mad.
Speaker B:I am Scorpio rising.
Speaker B:Okay, I get it.
Speaker B:I get it.
Speaker B:I have a Mercury in Scorpio, too.
Speaker B:I get it.
Speaker B:But no one gives a.
Speaker B:Okay, let me also say this.
Speaker B:You here when I tell you what my birthday is.
Speaker B:And all of you cusp.
Speaker B:Babies know this, don't tell me how I was almost a Scorpio.
Speaker A:Get up in my face.
Speaker B:I'm a Libra.
Speaker B:Okay?
Speaker B:Y' all get on my nerves to no end because you don't know how things work.
Speaker B:You are ignorant, dumb, and you need to read a book.
Speaker B:Get up in my face.
Speaker A:And if you're listening and you're one of the people that he's talking about, please don't stop the episode.
Speaker A:There's always room for growth.
Speaker B:Okay, you go ahead and listen to that Libra for that, all right?
Speaker B:If you stop that.
Speaker B:If you stop the episode, you don't want to come back because your feelings got hurt.
Speaker B:Well, go ahead, sit in it and then come back.
Speaker B:I was just playing.
Speaker A:That's not.
Speaker A:That's an October leave for.
Speaker A:Ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker A:I will be starting us off very shortly because I am a September Libra.
Speaker A:And if you don't know now, you know, we're a little bit more peaceful.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:You.
Speaker B:You guys are.
Speaker B:You guys are.
Speaker B:You guys are.
Speaker A:They be about.
Speaker A:They be about that.
Speaker B:Rah rah immediately.
Speaker B:And it's just.
Speaker B:And it's like, I. I've always said this, and, you know, like, I am the.
Speaker B:I was a Tammy Roman of my group, and it would be the moment where we're all sitting down, we're all sitting to eat, and I ask you a question, and you don't give me a direct answer, and I get up.
Speaker B:Everybody else is getting up to stop me from moving over to you.
Speaker A:No, I. I actually.
Speaker A:I didn't hear you.
Speaker B:Say that.
Speaker B:Again, please.
Speaker B:If.
Speaker B:If I scratch my eyebrow or.
Speaker B:Or if I do any kind of, like, facial tic as you're Expressing something to me.
Speaker B:Move.
Speaker B:So speaking about things that make me happy.
Speaker B:I would really love to know this because we've been here for a while.
Speaker B:What are we even talking about?
Speaker A:W a W E T A dot podcast or WAWIDA podcast.
Speaker A:And you know what's gonna blow your mind right now?
Speaker A:It's literally gonna blow your mind.
Speaker A:Like, I kid you not.
Speaker A:What we're gonna talk about right now, specifically, especially because we're talking about things that make you happy.
Speaker A:No, because I had it before you said it, and it was like, listen at how synchronicity is in play right now.
Speaker A:We're going to talk about what makes you happy.
Speaker A:Yep.
Speaker A:This episode here is about happiness.
Speaker A:Because if y' all listen to last week's episode, I don't know if you recall, and I'mma just preface it, and I'm not making fun of my friend.
Speaker A:I know he was dealing with a lot, but it was very.
Speaker A:If we would have recorded this episode yesterday, the mood would have been.
Speaker B:Been very different.
Speaker A:And I probably.
Speaker B:I probably, probably would have been a little you know who.
Speaker A:And then cut to.
Speaker A:Yeah, I don't know what mood you.
Speaker B:Thought was different between yesterday and today, but this ain't that.
Speaker A:But all good things.
Speaker A:We are here.
Speaker A:We are present.
Speaker A:We are walking into our greatness.
Speaker A:We're always great.
Speaker A:I just want to express that.
Speaker A:And you all know that.
Speaker A:I feel like nobody's naive to that point.
Speaker A:You all love to listen to all the things that you hear and then try to apply it.
Speaker A:Like, oh, yeah, I definitely.
Speaker A:All the libras I know do that.
Speaker A:Yeah, all the libras I know are that way.
Speaker A:And it's great that you want to get on the bandwagon and ride the wave and kind of join in on the parade of lies and rumors, ambitious slander that people spread about us.
Speaker A:But we know that you love us, and you don't have to say it in public.
Speaker B:Before you.
Speaker B:Before you go okay with that, before you go any further, this parade of lies, I want you guys to know that this parade of lies is not led by libras.
Speaker B:Okay?
Speaker B:For you all out there who keep saying libras are liars, they just don't tell you the truth because you can't handle the truth.
Speaker A:And I've said this because it's so funny to me, because I. I've always said.
Speaker A:And it's like whenever that became a thing, because, like, apparently astrology, the people in my world didn't know about astrology before I was like, 30.
Speaker A:It was like, I turned 30, and it was like the layers were peeled back, and it was like, all of a sudden, hey, what's your.
Speaker A:What's your rising?
Speaker A:What's your moon?
Speaker A:I'm like, bitch, I don't know what that means.
Speaker A:But now that we're here and we are aware, I've always told people, like, I'm so very.
Speaker A:There's no in between.
Speaker A:For me, it's one of two things.
Speaker A:Either I care way too much about you, or I don't care enough about you.
Speaker A:But either way, I care too much to lie to you.
Speaker A:Because for me, a lie hurts.
Speaker A:I don't want to hurt you.
Speaker A:I care too much about you, or I don't care enough.
Speaker A:Girl, I don't give a fuck about you.
Speaker A:What I got a lot of you for.
Speaker A:So, like, there's no real middle ground with that.
Speaker A:There's.
Speaker A:There's just not.
Speaker A:And I don't know where that misconception comes from, but girl life or what?
Speaker A:Because.
Speaker B:And to be honest, okay, and to be honest, I'm a horrible liar because it's a lot to keep up with.
Speaker B:It's a lot.
Speaker B:You know, and we may not.
Speaker B:Okay, so let me say this, all right?
Speaker B:We may not lie, but we will omit the truth, because guess what?
Speaker B:You didn't ask the right question.
Speaker A:And, bitch, it ain't none of your motherfucking business.
Speaker A:But with that, I do want to talk about right now, and I'm just going to start it off.
Speaker A:Normally, I would.
Speaker A:You know, I always say this, and I don't know if you all.
Speaker A:I've said it here about how prepared PJ is and about how I love that he's really a journalist.
Speaker A:He's very passionate about his craft.
Speaker A:He's always very prepped with questions.
Speaker A:And if you listen.
Speaker A:If you listen regularly and you can tell in the difference from week to week how much more structured and organized and prepared his episodes sound, as opposed to.
Speaker A:Once we get to my weekend, it's like, yeah, what are they even talking about?
Speaker A:But with that, I do want to start off by talking about some things that have been making me really, really happy lately.
Speaker A:And then we're going to dive into you, because I know, you know, ups and downs, ebbs and flows, but there's a lot of joy in the midst of this chaos, and I want to lean into that.
Speaker A:We're going to.
Speaker A:We're going to tap into some positivity as we open our season.
Speaker A:He's over here.
Speaker A:Y' all can't see it.
Speaker A:Y' all can't see it, but he is dancing.
Speaker B:I was having a prayer break.
Speaker B:I heard joy.
Speaker B:Joy.
Speaker B:I heard abundantly.
Speaker B:Yes, Lord, I've come that you might have life more abundantly.
Speaker B:Sorry.
Speaker A:No, you're absolutely fine.
Speaker A:So a few things that have been making me happy lately are the support of the people that I care about.
Speaker A:For a really long time, I felt very alone and for different reasons.
Speaker A:Like, I was in these spaces where, you know, here I am, I'm back in Memphis.
Speaker A:I didn't really expect to be here.
Speaker A:Yes, my siblings are here, but they all kind of have their own lives.
Speaker A:They're doing their own things.
Speaker A:They have their families.
Speaker A:Everybody's kind of branched off.
Speaker A:I don't really have local friends, so I don't, you know, do a lot.
Speaker A:My job is overwhelming.
Speaker A:I'm really stressed out.
Speaker A:So for a while, I don't know, it was a very isolating experience to have.
Speaker A:But lately I have, especially as I'm growing, especially as I'm like, making conscious decisions to do things, to spread my voice and allow myself to be heard in different spaces in ways that I didn't always feel safe or comfortable, in ways that maybe I feared to do before.
Speaker A:I've been in this space of just receiving an abundance of support.
Speaker A:People who, when I talk down on myself, quickly stop me and correct me and say, no, we're not doing that.
Speaker A:Like, you have to be kinder to yourself because no matter what you think about that, you're wrong.
Speaker A:Because I literally watch you do better.
Speaker A:And you need to shift your perspective.
Speaker A:And I'm not going to fucking tell you again.
Speaker A:Like, I have that from so many people in my life, and it's been so affirming and it's been such a thing that has helped me to shape my kind of reshape my own self concept in a way.
Speaker A:My therapist who always tells me, like, hey, I'm never gonna, like, be mad at you for doing your best.
Speaker A:Like, even when it comes to me not feeling like I'm doing so great or me kind of coming into a session and kind of complaining about the ways that I've been making all these mistakes, and I feel like I've been making all these poor choices, he just always makes me feel like, hey, you're doing the best you can, like, stop being so hard on yourself.
Speaker A:So I think for me, that's been the first thing, another thing, and I'm not gonna give a whole list, but another thing that's been making me really happy lately is just kind of being in this space where it's like something happened and a veil was lifted.
Speaker A:I don't know what moon, I don't know what planet, I don't know who retrograde and I don't know who's full half or new or whatever's going on in the skies.
Speaker A:But something has been happening as to where like all of these like, and we talked about this briefly, like all of these shifts and all of these transformations that we've been hearing about all year and all the things that are coming our way have really started to unfold.
Speaker A:I literally bullshit you not my whole goal beyond as far as my career.
Speaker A:And I say career, but as far as my job was concerned.
Speaker A:I was going to give them to the end of the year.
Speaker A:I, I wanted to see if I could eventually get out of the space that I was in, if I could find a different role, if I could potentially get a promotion.
Speaker A:I was going to give them a year.
Speaker A:I never have had success on indeed at all.
Speaker A:Indeed is like a waste of space for me when it comes to applying for jobs.
Speaker A:And I was just randomly on indeed one day just pushing resume, doing the little quick link apply and I did it.
Speaker A:And beyond doing it, I got a call.
Speaker A:Well no, I got an email and this girl was like hey, so you asked about this money amount of money.
Speaker A:I don't know we can really meet you there.
Speaker A:But I want to be transparent and see if you're interested in having a conversation.
Speaker A:And I'm like, girl, what you got?
Speaker A:So we talked, she was like, these people want to meet with you.
Speaker A:They really are impressed by your resume.
Speaker A:They think you might be a good fit.
Speaker A:Cut to Thursday comes I am not able to make the meeting because my supervisor has planned something for me so I have to reschedule.
Speaker A:And it's like last minute.
Speaker A:I'm like, oh, they're gonna think this is so professional.
Speaker A:They're never gonna wanna talk to me again.
Speaker A:And they're like, yeah, they still wanna meet with you.
Speaker A:Let's do tomorrow.
Speaker A:What time works for you?
Speaker A:They give me some times we meet at 3:30 on a Friday.
Speaker A:At the end of it I sit there on the screen with two people.
Speaker A:One of the people doesn't say a word to me the whole time.
Speaker A:So I don't know if it's like good cop, bad cop, intimidation, but the person that I'm speaking to, she's asking all the questions and the other person's just sitting there and it's like really awkward.
Speaker A:But like, you know, I'm doing my.
Speaker A:Because I'm Impressive because libras are.
Speaker A:I mean, I'm, you know, I'm doing my big one and it's a really good interview.
Speaker A:And I think that they were really impressed by me.
Speaker A:And so at the end I'm like, that felt really good.
Speaker A:But I'm not gonna get my hopes up because, you know, whatever.
Speaker A:That's just.
Speaker A:How do we get our hopes up in the midst of this crazy world that we live in?
Speaker A:And so she told me at the end of the interview.
Speaker A:She was like, yeah, it'll probably be two or three weeks before you hear anything.
Speaker A:We're sourcing other roles.
Speaker A:She's been very busy, we're still doing interviews.
Speaker A:Blah, blah, blah, blah.
Speaker A:Cut to the following Thursday.
Speaker A:They're like, yeah, so we want to offer you the job and we want to offer you this much money.
Speaker A:And I'll be honest with you, it was not a lot more money than what I make right now.
Speaker A:But I was like, no more customers, say less.
Speaker A:So I accepted the background check, turned around really quickly, which I was a little nervous about because I'm not a criminal.
Speaker A:But you know, sometimes you flub a little bit when it comes to certain things.
Speaker A:And a lot of people now are.
Speaker A:They verify.
Speaker A:They verify a lot with these third party hiring systems.
Speaker A:So like, I was like, oh, bitch.
Speaker A:If they go try to dig that up, they might rescind this offer.
Speaker A:Because the lie detector has determined that that was a lie.
Speaker B:That was a lie.
Speaker A:But everything worked out.
Speaker A:It happened really quickly.
Speaker A:I told my supervisor.
Speaker A:Cause I didn't like, I fuck with him.
Speaker A:And I didn't want it to be like, hey, so I'm gonna go.
Speaker A:So I told him and he was like, yeah, I'm gonna tell my boss.
Speaker A:Cause I can't lie well.
Speaker A:And she's gonna ask me when you put in your two weeks notice, how long have I known?
Speaker A:And so he gave me a couple of days.
Speaker A:He told her, I got back, yeah, she's sad to see you go, but she's happy for you.
Speaker A:And because you're in good standing, you can always come back.
Speaker A:So I gave them three weeks notice.
Speaker A:I sent them, gave them three weeks notice.
Speaker A:And now I have two more weeks, which I wanted a break.
Speaker A:But you know, financially, because of those irresponsible choices we discussed earlier, can't take one.
Speaker A:And so like, yeah, I'm gonna work it out to the 3rd of October.
Speaker A:And then on the 6th of October, I start a new role.
Speaker A:And I kind of touched on this a little bit in a few episodes ago about some good news that was coming, but I wanted to make sure I could fully talk about it before I actually talked about it.
Speaker A:And now I'm, like, very excited, and I'm just really happy.
Speaker A:And we're.
Speaker A:Oh, above all things, it's.
Speaker A:It's an accounting role.
Speaker A:So it puts me back in my field kind of somewhere that I felt like I had strayed too far from and that I might not ever be able to enter back into.
Speaker A:But, yeah, it's really dope.
Speaker A:I'm gonna be an auditor.
Speaker A:And so I'm excited about that.
Speaker B:Because that.
Speaker B:Because that is.
Speaker B:That is perfection for you.
Speaker A:Thank you.
Speaker A:I appreciate that very much.
Speaker A:But, yeah, so I'm excited and I think happy in general, like, because, you know, happiness is very what you make it.
Speaker A:But I'm so.
Speaker A:Also grateful that I've gotten to this place as to where I've learned to discover that I don't need to seek happiness outside of myself, that I don't have to have these things.
Speaker A:I don't have to be in these places.
Speaker A:I don't have to have these experiences or be around these people.
Speaker A:I can actively make the decision to create it and that it comes from within and that I can, like, shape and molded the world to what I want it to be for myself in ways that I don't think I always.
Speaker A:I knew, but I wasn't tapping into it.
Speaker A:And so now it's like, I have this power, and I'm using it to my advantage every single day.
Speaker A:And, like, I'm not gonna let anything, like, stop me from using it.
Speaker A:Like, I'm not gonna let anything dim my light or take away my ability to exist in this space.
Speaker A:Pj, you have been taking notes the whole time I've been talking, so.
Speaker A:Bitch, I told y'.
Speaker B:All.
Speaker A:Brought to you by Pad.
Speaker A:I said it.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker A:Tell me about you and some of the things that you are feeling right now as far as things that are making you happy in this first.
Speaker A:This season.
Speaker B:First of all, no, I'm going to first start off by saying how happy I am for you.
Speaker A:Thank you.
Speaker B:You deserve it.
Speaker B:It is about time.
Speaker B:You are moving into where you need to be.
Speaker B:The transition is.
Speaker B:Has.
Speaker B:It has begun.
Speaker B:Everything the light touches is your kingdom.
Speaker B:Because I could really remember, like, the first, like, couple of episodes.
Speaker B:It was like a raging from hell.
Speaker B:Oh, my God.
Speaker B:And people don't realize that sometimes, like, your.
Speaker B:Your.
Speaker B:What you spend most of your time on, especially if it's work, if it's.
Speaker B:You hate, if you're miserable, you become miserable, and it Seeps into all of your other, like, you know, they'll be like, you know, obviously I'm a supportive friend, so I'm gonna let you get your out.
Speaker B:Like you like me get.
Speaker B:Let my get out.
Speaker B:But it's like this girl, you okay?
Speaker B:Just quit.
Speaker B:Yeah, don't tell me because I will always tell people.
Speaker B:Quit.
Speaker B:Just quit.
Speaker B:Just walk out.
Speaker B:If I can leave a job that is paying as much money as I was making without a college degree and say and only why I stuck there for so long at NYU was because shout out to the worst place I've ever worked is because I say that everywhere I go.
Speaker B:I've never said it here.
Speaker B:Welcome, y'.
Speaker B:All.
Speaker B:Is because money always comes.
Speaker B:Money always finds yourself.
Speaker B:It things things.
Speaker B:So here's the thing about a Libra.
Speaker B:We're just lucky.
Speaker B:I mean, like, we're like Domino, like, and Domino from Deadpool.
Speaker B:Like, we have the weirdest.
Speaker B:We have the weirdest stories that are like, of course we would invite the killer in our house, but did we die, though?
Speaker B:So, like, we're good with that.
Speaker B:So for you, I want to say congratulations.
Speaker B:I'm happy for you, and that makes me happy.
Speaker A:I appreciate that.
Speaker A:I was just going to say, I don't know if you remember, but after our first episode, I told pj, I said, I'm really excited.
Speaker A:This feels really good.
Speaker A:I'm really happy that we're finding finally doing this, but what it has convinced me is that I'm going to have to find another job because doing what I'm doing doesn't allow me to show up in all the ways that I want to.
Speaker A:And we started around the summertime, so I was like, if I'm going to be able to have the energy that I want to have and be able to express myself in the way that I want to, and for this to be a as fun as I want it to be for us, because I didn't want to be that person.
Speaker A:That's to where like, every week I was like, child, I'm tired and work pissed me off and I'm drained and I'm stressed and blah, blah, blah.
Speaker A:Because you've listened to podcasts before where you've kind of gotten very Debbie Downer energy from one of the hosts.
Speaker A:I won't say any names, but, you know, we.
Speaker A:You've had that experience.
Speaker A:So, like, I definitely wanted to do something different.
Speaker A:And so I'm definitely grateful to be here.
Speaker A:And thank you.
Speaker A:I really do appreciate that.
Speaker B:You're welcome.
Speaker B:You're welcome.
Speaker B:Now back to me.
Speaker B:No, but still back with you, because guess what?
Speaker B:You have.
Speaker B:We, we are in pay the cost.
Speaker A:So sure enough, something's wrong with you sometimes.
Speaker B:We have just entered in a karmic eclipse portal.
Speaker B:Okay, so the new moon and partial solar eclipse, it's in Virgo.
Speaker B:Okay, but everything ain't got to be about Libras.
Speaker B:I mean, and see, that's the other thing.
Speaker B:Y' all out there thinking everything is about y', all.
Speaker B:Every, every one of y', all, all you signs do this.
Speaker B:Y' all all think that everything.
Speaker B:Man, shut up.
Speaker B:So listen to this really quick.
Speaker C:This is one of the most potent times of the year.
Speaker C:We are reaching the end of a very karmic eclipse portal with a new moon and partial solar eclipse on September 21 at 3:53pm Eastern at 29 degrees.
Speaker C:Four minutes in the sign of Virgo.
Speaker B:Whatever.
Speaker C:Four eclipses a year, two of which are about the past, releasing the past.
Speaker C:And those are called south node eclipses.
Speaker C:And that's what this one is.
Speaker C:You're being shown what needs to be cleared from your past, whether it's your personal past or a karmic past or many lifetimes ago.
Speaker C:Anything that's unresolved in your life, and that could be people from your past.
Speaker C:Anything that's holding you back could come up right now.
Speaker C:And by releasing these things, you're able to live more in your integrity.
Speaker A:It's gonna go right now.
Speaker B:Because this is not.
Speaker A:You gotta say no more.
Speaker B:This is not this.
Speaker B:This episode has not been brought to you by the pattern.
Speaker B:However, the pattern, if you would like, you know, we take money, but.
Speaker B:Okay, thank you so much because we talk about you too, costar.
Speaker B:So I am happy because I feel like I have entered this portal in before it started, like number one.
Speaker B:Okay, so here's the thing about astrology.
Speaker B:A lot of these things happen.
Speaker B:They have like a five day window period, right?
Speaker B:So like, even when like something goes retrograde, there's a pre retrograde before it retrogrades.
Speaker B:It's not called pre retrograde.
Speaker B:All you Virgos out there and all you other people stop trying to correct me.
Speaker B:You know what I meant?
Speaker B:It's Libra season.
Speaker B:This episode is actually come be put out on the first day of Libra.
Speaker B:Okay?
Speaker B:So there you go.
Speaker B:As I was saying.
Speaker A:My lip gloss is popping.
Speaker B:Poor little mama.
Speaker B:I was watching something earlier.
Speaker A:See?
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker B:Adhd.
Speaker B:Adhd.
Speaker A:It's okay.
Speaker A:Give it to me.
Speaker A:I need it.
Speaker B:I was watching something earlier and she was talking about how like she was so hurt by the fact that Jay Z didn't call her bitch.
Speaker B:No one told you to run up there, little girl.
Speaker A:Because when we think about New York, we think about Lil Mama.
Speaker B:I saw a comment.
Speaker A:She was supposed to be a part of the moment.
Speaker B:I saw a comment that said, imagine Jay Z's talking about, yo, I gotta call little mama.
Speaker A:She gotta be up for this.
Speaker B:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker B:Anyway, so I am as.
Speaker B:As these waves come for me.
Speaker B:And, you know, I'm not going to sit here and say everything's peachy keen, because it's not.
Speaker B:You know, I'm happy about the revelations that come out of me not drowning through these waves and the cutting things out and cutting people out and understanding that their energy is not my energy, and I don't need it.
Speaker B:Understanding that the stuff that you guys are complaining about is stupid.
Speaker B:Like, you know there's a resolution for that, right?
Speaker B:You know, Like, I can hear what your problem is in that moment.
Speaker B:Like, but are you gonna follow it?
Speaker B:Like, am I gonna follow my own opinion?
Speaker B:I don't.
Speaker B:I don't claim to know everything.
Speaker B:I know most things.
Speaker B:And that's what I will say.
Speaker B:I'm happy for, like, right now, present day.
Speaker B:Even though last week I was like, yeah, I'm so glad we didn't record yesterday, you know, this.
Speaker B:And I would ever.
Speaker B:And then the energy just stayed the same.
Speaker B:No, baby, if I would have recorded that yesterday, I would have been, like, it would have been.
Speaker B:It would have been horrible.
Speaker B:Now I.
Speaker B:When I come out of these moments, you know, it's.
Speaker B:It's been, oh, that's what that was about.
Speaker B:Like, I'm.
Speaker A:I.
Speaker B:As.
Speaker B:As sad as I get about being alone, and I am not lonely.
Speaker B:I realize that there are a plethora of people out there who support me.
Speaker B:And when I spent time with my.
Speaker B:With my sister, AKA best friend, shout out to you, Des.
Speaker B:And I.
Speaker B:You know, when you meet new people, like, I'm.
Speaker B:I'm happiest when I do meet new.
Speaker B:A new person and they go, oh, my God, I love your energy.
Speaker A:Of course you would.
Speaker B:I'm a Libra.
Speaker B:It's literally what I said.
Speaker B:Like, it's.
Speaker B:It.
Speaker B:It.
Speaker B:It confirms what I already know about myself, that I'm a good guy.
Speaker B:I'm a nice guy.
Speaker B:I mean, I'm not nice.
Speaker B:I'm an.
Speaker B:But I'm a kind guy.
Speaker B:Like, I care and, like, I'm genuinely one of the good ones.
Speaker B:And I'm happy to admit that without having to put on some air like the Tauruses do normally, I don't really talk about other signs, but because this is Libra season and because this show is also hosted with another Libra, I feel safe knowing that I can say these things and won't hear nothing back.
Speaker B:Y' all listening?
Speaker B:If you got something to say, go ahead, put in the comments.
Speaker B:Do what you want to do.
Speaker B:You know, just understand.
Speaker B:I' ma shout you out, and I'll make you feel foolish.
Speaker B:No, I'm not gonna do that.
Speaker B:I'm not gonna do that.
Speaker B:That's not nice.
Speaker B:That's not nice.
Speaker B:That's not nice.
Speaker A:You're gonna feel really dumb afterwards.
Speaker B:No, don't push me.
Speaker B:Just don't push me.
Speaker B:Just don't push me.
Speaker B:But, yeah, I mean, I'm just happier.
Speaker B:I realized after the last couple of times that I. I spent time with the man, I'm actually happy being by myself right now because it's like.
Speaker B:Like, y' all are trash and I'm trash.
Speaker B:So let's not be too trash together.
Speaker B:Like, let me be trash by myself.
Speaker B:And I'm not trash.
Speaker B:I. I just know what my trash is.
Speaker B:Y' all niggas don't know what y' all trash is.
Speaker B:That's the problem.
Speaker B:Oh, here I go again, being a Libra, telling everybody else what their problem is, but don't want to face my own.
Speaker B:My God today, leave me alone.
Speaker B:Oh, well.
Speaker A:And I will say that in this season for me, I am taking the moment to spend time with myself.
Speaker A:And I didn't realize that this is what was happening because I was struggling with loneliness for a while.
Speaker A:But I am taking this moment to take the time to clear my trash out so that when a person does come along, that I will be clear of said trash, and I can approach the situation from a better vantage point and I can enjoy myself, and I can actually, like, have fun in the experience, because I think sometimes, like, it's easy to take things seriously when it comes to the whole scheme of, like, wanting to get to know and dating and all the blah, blah, blah.
Speaker A:Like, it feels so very strategic and organized, and you got a plan, and you want to make sure that you don't do this too fast, and you want to make sure that you're doing these things and asking these important questions and, like.
Speaker A:Like, I think it becomes so overwhelming in that idea of, like, it has to be this way, and it's like, no, just let it flow.
Speaker A:Just be free.
Speaker A:Like, just enjoy the moment in the experience.
Speaker A:And if this is the one, cool.
Speaker A:If it's not, that's okay.
Speaker A:There are Other ones, but, like, not putting so much pressure on it sometimes.
Speaker A:So I'm grateful to be in that space now of, like, clearing out the trash.
Speaker A:The trash is no longer going to be here when I put myself in the position to be out on the field again when I'm outside, gonna be clean.
Speaker B:So I want you to know, ladies and gentlemen, I want to do a quick little thing.
Speaker B:I'm so glad you did that, because that is part of it.
Speaker B:We're going to take a breath.
Speaker B:We're gonna stretch our mouths.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker B:And.
Speaker A:Sorry, I was stretching my mouth.
Speaker A:Go ahead.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker B:And we're gonna repeat these words.
Speaker B:Okay?
Speaker B:You ready?
Speaker B:First thing Monday morning.
Speaker B:I'm gonna pack my tears away?
Speaker A:I'm gonna pack my tears away?
Speaker B:Got no cause to look back?
Speaker A:Got no cause to look back?
Speaker B:I'm looking for me a better day?
Speaker A:I'm looking for me a better day?
Speaker B:You see that thing about love?
Speaker A:You see that thing about love?
Speaker B:Keep repeating Keep.
Speaker B:Don't, Don't.
Speaker A:I was like, oh, I didn't know.
Speaker B:We're gonna go.
Speaker A:We're gonna go.
Speaker B:We're gonna go.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker B:Is, is.
Speaker B:Is that it's not enough?
Speaker A:Is that it's not enough?
Speaker B:If the only thing it brings you is pain?
Speaker A:If the only thing it brings you is pain?
Speaker B:There comes a time There comes a time when we could all make a.
Speaker A:Change when we could all make a.
Speaker B:Change, change so darling, so darling Just let it go Just let go Let it flow, Let it flow, Let it flow?
Speaker B:Everything's gonna work out right?
Speaker B:You know, Shout out to the Queen Libra herself, Toni Braxton, I'm sure, well aware.
Speaker B:You knew that's.
Speaker B:That's what that was, right?
Speaker A:Yes, absolutely.
Speaker A:For sure.
Speaker A:No, not another one of those moments.
Speaker A:Okay, really quickly, and you may not resonate with this, but I'm gonna give her her flowers while we're here because I have been so very excited for another Libra lately.
Speaker A:If you have, like, if you've just been anywhere lately, you've probably seen Cardi B.
Speaker A:She's been all over the place, ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker B:I'm here.
Speaker A:You on board?
Speaker A:I didn't know if you was gonna be on board.
Speaker A:Are you on board?
Speaker B:I am on board.
Speaker A:I'm gonna give my props to Cardi B.
Speaker A:Who just released her album.
Speaker A:Am I the drama?
Speaker A:And whether you enjoy her as an artist, whether you like her music, whether you have negative opinions about her or whatever the case may be, one thing that you cannot say is that she has not taken this album run and done everything Necessary to promote the fuck out of it.
Speaker A:To say that it took her seven years.
Speaker A:When record companies don't let you do that.
Speaker A:Like, bitch, you just gave us a number one album.
Speaker A:You just gave us singles.
Speaker A:You just gave us Grammys.
Speaker A:Who's gonna let you take seven years to put out a record?
Speaker A:She took seven years to put out a record.
Speaker A:And in this, from the trial to being in the streets with CDs, to all the things that have been going on in her personal life, to the pregnancy, faking the pregnancy and then actually being really pregnant, like, this promotional period made me care about wanting to hear what the music sounded like.
Speaker A:Prior to that, I probably would have been like, oh, Cardi B, she's cool.
Speaker A:I might listen, I might not.
Speaker A:But just the ide of somebody taking their time with their team and saying, you know what?
Speaker A:We're going to give you an album rollout, and we're going to hit this ground running, and we're going to be in the streets and we're going to be everywhere.
Speaker A:She's been on morning talk shows.
Speaker A:She's been on radio shows.
Speaker A:She's been on evening shows.
Speaker A:She's been all over social media.
Speaker A:She's in door dash commercials.
Speaker A:Like, there's so many things happening.
Speaker B:She could be here.
Speaker B:She could be here.
Speaker B:So, Cardi, if you hear this, listen.
Speaker A:But as a.
Speaker A:As a person who is not the.
Speaker A:And I'm not speaking from it, from a big a negative space, but I'm not the biggest fan.
Speaker A:I'm not Barty Gang, per se.
Speaker A:But as somebody who just admires hard work and dedication and watching somebody take something that could be nothing and making it into everything that they want it to be.
Speaker A:Watching somebody be hungry for something and putting forth all of their energy into, like, literally allowing the world to know.
Speaker A:Like, hey, I'm here.
Speaker A:If nothing else, I'm not gonna be able to say y' all didn't hear about it.
Speaker A:Like, it's been so incredibly impressive, inspiring to me, and I am so incredibly happy that the moment is here for her that she finally gets to, like, relish in the success.
Speaker A:Platinum in a day, number one on iTunes in 30 minutes.
Speaker A:Like, and she's a female rapper, you know what I'm saying?
Speaker A:Like, a lot of times you don't get that unless it's Taylor Swift or Beyonce or, you know what I'm saying?
Speaker A:Like, something that's a little bit more commercially successful.
Speaker A:So I'm very happy for her and I'm very proud of her.
Speaker A:Even not knowing her, I'm Proud of her to have seen that.
Speaker A:And then somebody else posted something last night, and I was like, I'm really excited for her fans.
Speaker A:Because to think about it from that perspective, people who have been waiting for seven years for an album, they finally got it, and they get to appreciate it, they get to hold it in their hands, they get to hear the music, and they get to love this artist that they appreciate the value in so much.
Speaker A:So shout out to you, Cardi B.
Speaker B:I want to say this one thing.
Speaker B:Janet Jackson.
Speaker B:So, like, you know, okay, so the.
Speaker B:If you get.
Speaker B:Like, there are certain things and I too, can sit here and say that I am not in the Barty gang.
Speaker B:Is that what that's called?
Speaker B:I'm not a big Cardi B fan.
Speaker B:Like, as far as you know, I do adore her music.
Speaker B:But I'm not gonna go, Ted.
Speaker B:I'm.
Speaker B:I'm too old.
Speaker B:I'm too old and grown to be arguing with someone on the Internet about dumb.
Speaker B:That don't affect your life.
Speaker B:Like, I'm.
Speaker B:That's just not what I'm about.
Speaker A:Making me no money, honey.
Speaker B:None.
Speaker B:But here's what I will say, especially about Cardi, that the reason why I adore her so much is because.
Speaker B:From the.
Speaker B:And we're not talking about love and hip hop, because I literally have never seen an episode of Love and hip Hop.
Speaker B:Atlanta, New York, Texas, wherever the the is at.
Speaker B:Never seen the episode when she started getting popping.
Speaker B:Pretty sure that's not how those.
Speaker B:Those words are supposed to go together.
Speaker B:But hey, I'm.
Speaker A:Started getting popping.
Speaker B:I'm sure.
Speaker B:But hey, I'm.
Speaker B:I'm an.
Speaker B:Hey, that's not what the kids are saying.
Speaker B:God, no one says it like that, dad.
Speaker B:When I was like.
Speaker B:And she was.
Speaker B:Wait, okay.
Speaker B:And she was going through all the things she was going through on social media with people, I was like, is she a Libra?
Speaker B:Of course she's a Libra.
Speaker B:Of course.
Speaker B:Now I adore because I. I always said to myself, and this is one reason why I don't like, I don't want to be famous.
Speaker B:Right?
Speaker B:I want to be familiar, not famous.
Speaker B:Because everybody has an opinion.
Speaker B:And what you.
Speaker B:What's going to end up happening if you keep expressing your opinion to me in the way that you do, the way these brass knuckles will cross out your head and the way there was.
Speaker B:There was a moment when they were like, oh, my God, Cardi just turned the Internet off.
Speaker B:Take it off like some take somebody take your phone from your team and stop.
Speaker B:But it's like you know, your truth, it kind of hurts so much more when a lot of people are talking now.
Speaker B:I haven't been to that level.
Speaker B:Obviously, I'm not, you know, whatever, but I knew that she was Libra.
Speaker B:And then you get to, like, see her personality and the part about what makes Cardi separate from a lot of different artists and not even just rappers.
Speaker B:Right?
Speaker B:But it's because we can see your personality.
Speaker B:We know who you are.
Speaker B:And she has been consistent from the door, even, you know, when she had those jacked up teeth after to when she got her nose job.
Speaker B:Even when she's talked about, like, I got this done, like, three years ago.
Speaker B:It just takes a while for it to settle people.
Speaker B:Like, do your research.
Speaker B:Like, you know, I adore her humility as well as her not humility.
Speaker B:Like, she's not humble and she's just like, she knows she's the shit.
Speaker B:She knows she will be what she is.
Speaker B:And she is hilarious.
Speaker B:And I just.
Speaker B:I love those faces.
Speaker B:So I. I am.
Speaker B:I am here for her.
Speaker B:Except, ma', am, you can't just, like, go to court, you know, do this whole thing.
Speaker B:And, like, not even before you get into the car do what you do.
Speaker B:We.
Speaker B:We're gonna have to put you through anger management in a way that I've understood anger management.
Speaker B:You know, I've been through anger management and, you know, shout out to a future episode, which will be unbeknownst to you.
Speaker B:But I love it when people are authentically who they are and you can tell who they are.
Speaker B:There's not a machine pushing them.
Speaker B:There's a lot to say I can say about other individuals in the industry.
Speaker B:And that's why I'm like, some of the realest people I know in the industry are some of the realest people I know in life.
Speaker B:So, okay, facts back to you.
Speaker A:I'm glad that we were.
Speaker A:I'm glad that we were on the same page with that because I was like, oh, maybe he don't fuck with Cardi.
Speaker A:I didn't know.
Speaker A:But, like, we haven't talked about it, but, like, yes.
Speaker B:Now I'll say this.
Speaker B:I. I was laying here because I was like, I'm going to listen to her, but I' ma listen to her.
Speaker B:I haven't listened to the album yet.
Speaker B:I have saw the video for Safe her and Kehlani.
Speaker B:Baby, Kalani looks good.
Speaker A:She does always.
Speaker B:Okay, never mind.
Speaker B:She is not a Libra.
Speaker B:She is an Aries.
Speaker B:No, she's a Taurus.
Speaker B:No, she's an Aries.
Speaker B:She's a Taurus.
Speaker B:She was Taurus.
Speaker B:Kanani looked amazing.
Speaker B:And the video was like, oh, okay.
Speaker B:Not like I heard clips of.
Speaker B:I heard clips of the song with her and Janet.
Speaker B:And I heard.
Speaker B:And I watched safe.
Speaker B:And I was like, you know what?
Speaker B:Okay, I'm gonna get into this.
Speaker B:I'm gonna get into it when I am actually outside.
Speaker B:I don't want to be outside doing that.
Speaker A:I haven't gone.
Speaker A:I don't think I finished it.
Speaker A:But, like, I started it.
Speaker A:I made a good way through.
Speaker A:But, like, yeah, I. I.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:I'm in a weird space with the music, so I.
Speaker A:It probably won't be something that I'm listening to all the time, but, like, I enjoyed and I could go back to it.
Speaker A:I pre ordered the vinyl.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:I actually got a notification today that it's shipped.
Speaker A:It should be moving through the channels with.
Speaker B:Whenever you feel like you want to be a little bit more financially irresponsible.
Speaker B:I have a record player, too.
Speaker B:So, you know, I don't think I knew.
Speaker A:Did I know?
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker A:I did know that.
Speaker A:Yours is the one that stands up.
Speaker B:I did know that.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:If you want to spread some of that financial irresponsibility my way, sure.
Speaker A:Send me some idols.
Speaker B:Sure.
Speaker B:He said no.
Speaker A:I just.
Speaker A:I didn't.
Speaker A:I was like, wait, is there a player there?
Speaker A:Yeah, there is.
Speaker A:There is.
Speaker A:But no.
Speaker A:Another thing that I do want to say that makes me happy is, like, doing this.
Speaker A:I have pulled away from a lot of things that I set out to do for myself in this season.
Speaker A:I have not been hosting on TikTok.
Speaker A:I really don't know why.
Speaker A:I think I just haven't felt inspired.
Speaker A:I haven't felt motivated.
Speaker A:I haven't felt encouraged.
Speaker A:I don't feel like it's doing for me what I expected it to do.
Speaker A:And I want to get back into it because I have had people that have told me that the things that I say are important and that my voice is needed, and even the handful of people that enjoy my presence are looking for me when I'm gone.
Speaker A:So I do want to get back into it.
Speaker A:I just haven't felt inspired to do it lately.
Speaker A:But then even, like, just different things, I just haven't been doing the stuff that I want to do lately.
Speaker A:But one thing that I really enjoy being able to have is this.
Speaker A:Why are we tapping the computer?
Speaker A:What is happening?
Speaker B:I'm hitting you because if you say the handful of people one more time, it is.
Speaker A:It's a handful of people.
Speaker A:It's Not.
Speaker A:It's not like, it's just not.
Speaker A:I was like, why is he hitting this?
Speaker A:I was like, is there a fly?
Speaker B:I've been hitting the camera, the screen.
Speaker B:Because he keeps saying the hand.
Speaker B:You.
Speaker B:Stop.
Speaker B:Stop playing yourself small.
Speaker B:Just say, the people.
Speaker B:Sure.
Speaker B:Don't put a number on it, because then it's going to remain a number.
Speaker B:You're absolutely right.
Speaker A:You're absolutely right.
Speaker A:So the people.
Speaker A:But no, I think I'm just.
Speaker A:I'm in a space now where I'm just like, this is good for me.
Speaker A:This helps me feel comfortable, firstly, with just speaking.
Speaker A:Sometimes.
Speaker A:Just being able to talk.
Speaker A:Sometimes we, as people, we have, you know, stage fright.
Speaker A:We don't like to speak in front of others.
Speaker A:We don't like to allow our thoughts and voices to be heard because we're insecure and we feel like we're gonna sound stupid.
Speaker A:So there's a lot that goes into that.
Speaker A:But, like, it makes me really happy to be able to come here and to have a conversation with somebody that I feel like I can relate to so well and that we kind of bond over different things.
Speaker A:And then the outside of this, like, this isn't like, oh, well, here are these two people that somebody found and put together because they thought that they would be good together to host a show.
Speaker A:Like, this is a friend.
Speaker A:So it's also, like, helping us to grow our relationship outside of the space space.
Speaker A:Because, like, we talk about things here, and then we talk about things privately, and y' all don't always get to know all of those things, and then y' all will not.
Speaker A:It's not your business.
Speaker A:We get.
Speaker A:We give you a lot.
Speaker B:Don't tell us.
Speaker B:What did you say?
Speaker B:Don't you say, the media episode.
Speaker A:I was like, that's out of this.
Speaker A:That's not for here.
Speaker A:Wait a minute.
Speaker B:Like, come on.
Speaker A:That's for us.
Speaker A:But no, like, seriously.
Speaker A:So it's.
Speaker A:It's a really.
Speaker A:It's a really great thing.
Speaker A:And it's like, even just things that I've been doing for myself, like I said earlier, irresponsible financial decisions, but, like, I've been buying things for myself that spark joy.
Speaker A:And it's such a good feeling when you do things that make you feel good because it makes you want to do more of that.
Speaker A:Like, just doing things that make you feel good.
Speaker A:I would encourage everybody to do some of that, like, even if it's not from a financial space, because I understand, like, I'm not telling you to be as irresponsible as I Am.
Speaker A:Because sometimes an account might be in the negative, and guess what?
Speaker A:We keep it moving.
Speaker A:Another check coming.
Speaker A:I'm not telling you to do that.
Speaker A:Do what you got to do to be okay.
Speaker A:But you do be responsible.
Speaker A:However, if you have the opportunity, even if it's not from a financial place, even if it's from a space of just something that you enjoy doing, doing something, do something that sparks joy in you.
Speaker A:Because, like, it's life changing.
Speaker A:I'm telling you.
Speaker B:Okay, the check hasn't cleared yet.
Speaker B:All right.
Speaker B:I just know that here's the wonderful thing about when you know about how banking works.
Speaker B:If you don't have money in your account, but you know you'll have money pretty soon, you can go ahead and do an ach.
Speaker B:It's going to come out.
Speaker B:It's not going to decline.
Speaker B:So, like, I got to go deposit this money and after we're done using my financially irresponsible.
Speaker B:Get you a Libra baby.
Speaker B:Oh, my God.
Speaker B:So I can say this, and it's really weird, but it's not because it's Libra season.
Speaker B:Okay?
Speaker B:I am happier now that I understand what I was thinking before.
Speaker B:Friends.
Speaker B:People have told me before, like, ever since I started, like, you know, working in the funeral industry, that I've become a little bit more gloom.
Speaker B:You know, I talk about death.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:I talk about the dead people.
Speaker B:I talk about dead people.
Speaker B:I.
Speaker B:You know, and it's not that.
Speaker B:It's not that that I'm like gloom and doom.
Speaker B:It's just that the realization of life.
Speaker B:Right, Right.
Speaker B:And I had a realization this morning while I was taking my morning.
Speaker A:Plop.
Speaker B:Plump, I can't stand you.
Speaker A:And that's okay.
Speaker B:But I was saying, you know, I put so much focus or have put so much focus on what I don't want people to think or know or whatever or God forbid something happens to me.
Speaker B:From this moment on, can we just worry about and only be focused on what is happening?
Speaker B:You know?
Speaker B:And so it brought.
Speaker B:It brought me a different level of clarity, so to speak.
Speaker B:Obviously.
Speaker B:Post nut clarity, baby.
Speaker B:How did you know?
Speaker B:Get up at my house.
Speaker B:Did I talk about this here?
Speaker B:About the.
Speaker B:The song that I put on?
Speaker B:I did.
Speaker B:Or I just hold you.
Speaker B:So, ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker A:No, you told me, ladies and gentlemen, I want.
Speaker B:Let me.
Speaker B:Let me get this thought out.
Speaker B:And then I'm going to backtrack right here because if you have made it to this part of the episode, you are in for a treat.
Speaker B:Okay?
Speaker B:So I'm just happy to be at a point Right now that I can realize where I was, where I am.
Speaker B:I know that I'm not perfect.
Speaker B:I know that I make mistakes.
Speaker B:I know that there are moments where I do things that I shouldn't do, but I know I don't let those things control me.
Speaker B:I don't let people control me.
Speaker B:I don't let anybody else tell me who I am when I'm like, girl, your socks don't even match.
Speaker B:Shut the fuck up.
Speaker B:You know?
Speaker B:So, like, who are you talking to?
Speaker B:It's the.
Speaker B:His oxo match.
Speaker B:Oh, they do.
Speaker B:Nope, they don't.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker B:Right?
Speaker A:They do.
Speaker A:They do.
Speaker B:You know, you ever have somebody try to tell you something, you just look at them up and down, you're like, girl, what do you know?
Speaker B:That's why you have to watch Poetic justice, because that's what she said to Tupac.
Speaker B:She said, you can't even keep your fucking nails clean, you know, about love.
Speaker A:But I'm gonna see if I can find it tonight.
Speaker A:Is it streaming anywhere that you know?
Speaker B:Probably.
Speaker A:Okay, so if not, I'll pirate it.
Speaker A:What was the thought that I had?
Speaker B:Damn it.
Speaker A:It's my fault.
Speaker B:Damn it.
Speaker B:Damn it.
Speaker B:What are we talking about?
Speaker A:Not letting anybody tell you who you are.
Speaker B:And.
Speaker B:Oh, okay.
Speaker B:Song.
Speaker B:So, ladies and gentlemen, here's.
Speaker A:Oh, yes.
Speaker A:Oh, yay.
Speaker A:Because I wasn't gonna get there for a while, and then I would have remembered later.
Speaker A:It would have been too late.
Speaker B:So I have this thing that I do when I want someone to leave, like, they're lingering, and it's just like, we had a good time, but it's time for you to go.
Speaker B:I will get up.
Speaker B:Obviously, I have a dog, so, you know, I'll start.
Speaker B:Start getting myself together.
Speaker B:But it's all subconsciously happening, right?
Speaker B:And then I start being rude about it.
Speaker B:And by rude, I mean I turn on some music.
Speaker B:But I will queue up the next song, play a song somewhere in the middle of it.
Speaker B:So as I'm still moving, it's not like I just press play, and that's what comes on.
Speaker B:It's literally the next song.
Speaker B:I had no control over it, even though guess what I did.
Speaker B:And guess who it is.
Speaker B:It is Mariah.
Speaker B:Mariah Carey.
Speaker B:Get the out.
Speaker B:That's what I do every single time they start lingering.
Speaker B:And if you don't know, I would.
Speaker B:I would love to.
Speaker B:I would love to put a clip in here.
Speaker B:But y' all know Ms. Mariah, so we're not gonna do that with her.
Speaker B:But, you know, how about you get the out?
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker B:How about you get the out.
Speaker A:How about that?
Speaker B:How about that?
Speaker B:And then I'll come back in the room and I'll see if.
Speaker B:Are you.
Speaker B:You're still not dressed?
Speaker B:I'll just stand at the door like, poor Tink.
Speaker A:Poor Tink.
Speaker A:I would like to address something, and if you listen to us regularly, you know that we do not typically talk about current events.
Speaker A:That's not a part of our niche.
Speaker A:You can listen to other podcasts for that, and it's cool.
Speaker A:We're just very much who we are and what we do, and that experience is always what works for us.
Speaker A:However, I do want to talk about something very briefly, very brief, and I only want to talk because I want to know your opinion.
Speaker A:So I'm going to say a name, and I want you to tell me how you feel.
Speaker A:And beyond that, we don't have to talk about it anymore.
Speaker A:You ready?
Speaker B:I, I, I am ready.
Speaker A:Charlie.
Speaker B:Kirk.
Speaker A:Go.
Speaker B:I ain't trying to get canceled that.
Speaker A:Thank you for that.
Speaker A:Moving on.
Speaker B:No, you ain't gonna ask me.
Speaker B:You ain't gonna answer.
Speaker A:Oh, no, that is a collective thought.
Speaker B:Yeah, that is that.
Speaker B:We're all on the same page with that, you know, and, and here's the thing.
Speaker B:I am, I'm really upset because I've been watching a lot of.
Speaker B:Because I love Jimmy Kimmel.
Speaker B:I love Daily Kimmel, too.
Speaker B:I'm not that big of a fan.
Speaker A:Of my Disney plus, though.
Speaker A:But I do love him.
Speaker B:I can't see myself really getting into.
Speaker B:Wait, Cancel Disney plus.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Everybody's calling for us to, like, cancel.
Speaker A:You know, Disney owns abc.
Speaker A:Everybody's like, cancel your Disney Plus.
Speaker A:Cancel your whole.
Speaker B:That's not gonna.
Speaker B:You, that's not gonna, that's not gonna, that's not, that's not gonna happen.
Speaker B:No, ladies and gentlemen, don't do that.
Speaker B:If you do it, you do it.
Speaker B:But I'm just telling you that itself is not how you get into it, because it's a small number of us that would feel this way.
Speaker B:Oh, no.
Speaker A:They lost like, three point some odd billion dollars overnight.
Speaker B:Ladies and gentlemen, cancel your.
Speaker B:I will not be.
Speaker B:Because I am.
Speaker B:I'm watching Marvel stuff.
Speaker B:I don't know.
Speaker B:I mean, it's just.
Speaker B:Well, actually, hold on for a second.
Speaker B:I might not have to cancel because they have been saying, hello, payment.
Speaker B:It just might cancel itself.
Speaker B:How about that?
Speaker A:I think mine is due on the 22nd, which is Monday, so we'll see if I add another card on there to allow it to renew, because the card that's currently on there insufficient Fund.
Speaker B:So here's what I do.
Speaker B:I put all of my stuff that I'm like, bank, and I can go without it or whatever on my Cash app card.
Speaker B:So whatever is in that Cash app card, y' all better collect it first because the other people are coming for it.
Speaker B:So, like, I used.
Speaker B:I used to have everything, like on my.
Speaker B:On my.
Speaker B:My Chase.
Speaker B:So my other bank card can't really say what other banks I have because I don't know who's listening that part.
Speaker B:And it would be like, negative, negative, negative, negative, negative, negative.
Speaker A:I can't vote for.
Speaker A:He was out here, bro.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Double O, double O, double O, double O, negative.
Speaker B:And I was like, I gotta stop this.
Speaker B:Because after that it's like, oh, draft.
Speaker B:Overdraft, overdraft.
Speaker B:And so, yeah, let me go ahead and put this up in the Cash app.
Speaker B:And the Cash app will say, hey, excuse me.
Speaker A:Hey, you there?
Speaker B:Hey, you wanna.
Speaker B:You wanna put some money in here?
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker B:No, no.
Speaker B:We're gonna send you three notifications that they're trying to get their money back to.
Speaker B:Back to back.
Speaker A:But yeah, so, like, I can rent it on prime for 3.99.
Speaker A:Random and unrelated.
Speaker A:Poetic justice.
Speaker B:Poetic justice.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:No, I'm here.
Speaker B:I'm still here because you need to learn.
Speaker B:You need to watch this as a full grown man.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Because I literally, like, I don't even know what year it originally came out, but whatever year that was 95 last time I.
Speaker A:93 is what this is.
Speaker A:So, yeah, 30 plus.
Speaker B:And I'm sorry if you claim to be a Janet fan.
Speaker A:What you trying to say?
Speaker B:What kind of fan are you?
Speaker B:You better go ahead and do that because when Demita Joe walks through this door.
Speaker A:Oh, so.
Speaker A:So you doing the bending?
Speaker A:I got.
Speaker A:I got her on all the other ones.
Speaker A:I want you to be a man.
Speaker B:Mama.
Speaker B:It's hot.
Speaker B:No, not Penny, but anyway.
Speaker B:Any more for you?
Speaker A:I think, honestly, just.
Speaker A:I'm excited about the newness of life, and I think that excitement makes me happy.
Speaker A:Just the newness of this space of, like, being curious and being able to explore and not having to have everything figured out and nothing necessarily being guaranteed and not necessarily feeling like I have to have all my ducks in a row, but just really being in this place of kind of like this childlike playfulness of just being able to explore the world and experience it from a different vantage point than I ever have, I think it's really helping me to feel less anxious.
Speaker A:It's really helping a lot of my anxiety to melt away.
Speaker A:And I'm really, really happy about that.
Speaker A:Why are you looking at me like that, nigga?
Speaker B:The way I'm wincing at him?
Speaker B:Because literally, that goes against everything you stand for.
Speaker B:So it's like, it's like watching a baby take its first steps into reality.
Speaker B:It's just amazing.
Speaker B:Like, I, I, I encourage you to, to fall and get back up in this and not fall and go back to what you're used to, because that's what's safe for you.
Speaker B:Growth does not happen in comfort zones, you know?
Speaker B:So that's powerful, yo.
Speaker A:That's real powerful.
Speaker B:That's a message.
Speaker B:Message.
Speaker A:Ho.
Speaker B:There we go.
Speaker B:Say that again.
Speaker A:Message.
Speaker A:Message.
Speaker B:Oh, okay.
Speaker B:There we go.
Speaker B:I'm gonna clip that while we talk.
Speaker B:But yeah, so I, I'll say this as we, as we end this, because, my God, ladies and gentlemen, y' all have only heard about an hour.
Speaker B:We have been here since eight.
Speaker B:Since.
Speaker B:Yeah, for.
Speaker B:And just being silly.
Speaker A:Talk to me now.
Speaker B:I am embracing the silliness of life.
Speaker A:Embrace it.
Speaker A:Touch all over it.
Speaker B:I am, I am all over it.
Speaker B:Just put it all over my body, my face.
Speaker B:Just like, just, just, just slap me with it.
Speaker A:Calm in my mouth.
Speaker B:I don't know about that.
Speaker B:I think I'm into, I'm into a lot of things, baby.
Speaker B:You will get punched so hard.
Speaker B:So hard.
Speaker A:While alternatively, that's my.
Speaker A:So run me that.
Speaker A:As long as you, you know, as long as you, you're hygienic and you, you drink your water and eat your fruits, rubbing that nut.
Speaker A:I'm sorry, go ahead.
Speaker A:You were saying something beautiful.
Speaker A:You're embracing silliness.
Speaker B:Go ahead.
Speaker B:Maybe, but not in my face, baby.
Speaker B:You.
Speaker A:Oh, yeah, not in my face.
Speaker B:The.
Speaker B:I will stab you.
Speaker B:Oh, I'm sorry.
Speaker A:Well, you were gonna say something really sweet about embracing silliness.
Speaker A:I'm sorry.
Speaker B:Go ahead.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker B:So, like, the reason why I say that is because I know there are certain aspects of my personality that make my personality who it is.
Speaker B:And I enjoy that about myself.
Speaker B:And just like I read what co star said, like, those opinions are not yours.
Speaker B:The people who have so much to say about you, they're not you.
Speaker B:As you walk out into this world, it's your feet moving one in front of the other.
Speaker A:You're gonna make me read one more?
Speaker A:Keep talking.
Speaker B:It's your, it's your balls that are sweating because you're not wearing underwear.
Speaker B:You know, it's, it's sweaty chocolate balls, but whatever yours.
Speaker B:Oh, those are, those are the kids outside.
Speaker A:I can't hear them because of the noise cancellation, but I can believe it.
Speaker A:Oh, so this is one more.
Speaker A:You are the funniest person.
Speaker A:You know, your jokes about your.
Speaker B:Hold on.
Speaker B:Take your.
Speaker B:Take your headphones off.
Speaker B:Because, my God, today, that's like when.
Speaker B:That's like when Wilson was walking back.
Speaker A:And forth and you were like, it's so funny because New York has not interrupted us once all night.
Speaker A:But no, I was gonna say you.
Speaker A:So the one.
Speaker A:The last one I was gonna read just in regard to what you just said.
Speaker A:You're the funniest person.
Speaker A:You know, Your jokes about your flaws are.
Speaker A:Aren't fooling anyone.
Speaker A:They're walls, not windows.
Speaker A:Try this.
Speaker A:When someone compliments you tomorrow, resist the urge to undercut it.
Speaker A:Just say thank you and watch what happens next.
Speaker A:Because, as we know, I make fun of everything, especially when it comes to something negative about me, because it just helps me deal with it.
Speaker A:But, yeah, I thought that that was really interesting and.
Speaker B:Okay, I'm glad you brought that up, because the big burly that I had in here.
Speaker A:That was aggressive.
Speaker A:That was aggressive.
Speaker B:He was a big guy.
Speaker B:So sexy, though.
Speaker B:Why are you making that face?
Speaker A:No, it's fine.
Speaker A:I just wasn't.
Speaker A:I didn't know that's where we were going.
Speaker A:It's okay.
Speaker A:Let's.
Speaker A:Let's go land the plane.
Speaker B:It's like, don't say this again.
Speaker B:Like, I didn't know you were.
Speaker B:Fat phobic.
Speaker B:No, I'm not.
Speaker B:But the one who was here and I was, you know, and I have a tendency to do this, and I'm like, you know, I'll rub my stomach and he.
Speaker B:You.
Speaker B:You look sexy, like, compared to the one who said, you know, you just a little out of shape, you know, like, you're letting.
Speaker B:When you let other people's opinions affect you.
Speaker B:Other people can see that, you know, and it's not about what other people can see, but you should know that there are people who are seeing you for you and not you for what they want you to be.
Speaker B:And that's what makes me happy, that I'm realizing the more so now as I am soon to be 45 and you, sir, are soon to be 41.
Speaker A:I'm about to be in it.
Speaker A:So I was just saying earlier, I've been 40 for a year, but the 40 didn't feel like 40s.
Speaker A:Now I feel like I'm in the thick of it.
Speaker B:So.
Speaker A:Moving a little further.
Speaker B:By the time I.
Speaker B:By the time this, the next episode comes out, it'll have been your birthday.
Speaker B:This is coming out before your birthday, obviously.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker B:I, I want to say this one thing and then I'm going to ask you again.
Speaker B:You know, afterwards, when people turn 40, and here's my experience, this is just coming from a 40, a mid, a four, someone in their mid-40s.
Speaker B:So anybody else can agree with this.
Speaker B:People turn 40 just same as they, they turn 30.
Speaker B:You just turn the age.
Speaker B:You're like in the four year.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:You see all the doors one through nine and you're.
Speaker B:You.
Speaker B:You know, there's like little like treats and like little things here.
Speaker B:There's like a little kitchen, but you haven't gone through a door yet.
Speaker B:So you're still here.
Speaker B:But by the time you walk through that first door, which is your 41, your four store 40, by the time you walk through that door, there's a, there is something special about actually being in your 40s than just being 40.
Speaker B:So I just want to say to you.
Speaker B:Welcome.
Speaker A:Thank you.
Speaker B:Your time, your time.
Speaker B:Your, your, your.
Speaker B:Your bed is almost ready.
Speaker B:The, the paint is almost dry.
Speaker B:You just gotta let us know exactly the color scheme, the, the scent.
Speaker B:And you have to send all that in a thought email and it will magically.
Speaker A:I literally doubled up on therapy this coming week.
Speaker A:Normally I do it every other week, like on payday week.
Speaker A:And I told my therapist, I was like, yeah, so let's go ahead and put one on the books for next week because I'll be 41 next Saturday and I might be having a midlife crisis.
Speaker A:So just in case, let's go ahead and talk.
Speaker B:Midlife crisis.
Speaker A:No, like early last week I went to my sister in law.
Speaker A:I was like, do I look like, do I look 40?
Speaker A:Like I'm 41?
Speaker A:She was like, no.
Speaker A:Why you asked that?
Speaker A:I was like, I don't know, I think I'm kind of freaking out.
Speaker A:I was like, my mom had me young, so by the time she was 41, I was 25.
Speaker A:So like it's one of these weird things to like view it from the lens of how I thought 41 was when she was that age and now looking at myself and it's like, yeah, she had her together.
Speaker A:What do I have?
Speaker A:Not that.
Speaker B:You know what you have your journey.
Speaker A:Yeah, absolutely.
Speaker A:You're absolutely correct.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker B:Do not.
Speaker B:You're.
Speaker B:I mean if, if you're not number one, if you would have had a midlife crisis, it would have already happened already.
Speaker B:Because Europe, we're average life for a man is.
Speaker B:It's like 70 something.
Speaker B:So no, it's lowered.
Speaker A:Lowered expectations, lowered Expectations.
Speaker B:But.
Speaker B:So you're fine.
Speaker B:So.
Speaker B:But do not.
Speaker B:Do not put that energy out there.
Speaker A:You're right.
Speaker B:And if you do.
Speaker B:If you do, you do.
Speaker B:I mean, it happens.
Speaker B:It happens.
Speaker B:It's okay.
Speaker B:Who am I to tell you, don't listen to all these other people.
Speaker B:Listen to you.
Speaker B:Who the is I?
Speaker A:Who the fuck is I?
Speaker A:I want that on a shirt.
Speaker A:Who the fuck is I?
Speaker B:Well, this is your week, so now.
Speaker A:It'S time to say goodbye.
Speaker A:No, not because.
Speaker A:But no.
Speaker A:Thank you all so much for joining us.
Speaker A:It's always a pleasure.
Speaker A:We love you so very much.
Speaker A:We appreciate your listenership.
Speaker A:We would love it more, in addition to the listenership, if you all could give us some feedback.
Speaker A:I feel like we've been begging for weeks for you guys to leave us comments, to send us emails.
Speaker B:To be fair, they would have to be able to leave it somewhere.
Speaker B:So in order that you have a.
Speaker A:Clip to post it somewhere so that I don't have to say it now.
Speaker A:Not prepared for that.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:To be fair, it is my fault, ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker A:I don't know.
Speaker A:I'm just gonna post it in here and it's gonna be linked at the end so that you all can know where to find us on the media.
Speaker B:No, not.
Speaker B:But no, like, have the actual.
Speaker B:Like, like, all the stuff is saved.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:I thought you were gonna say no, and I was gonna.
Speaker A:I was like, let me grab my iPad.
Speaker B:No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Speaker B:It's just that I have a really.
Speaker B:I have had.
Speaker B:And I'm working through it, but I have to actively work through it.
Speaker B:And I.
Speaker B:And the best way for me to do it is to do it and not just push it off on someone else to do it.
Speaker B:So however, you know, if there's anyone out there who's looking to be a social media manager, hit us up, actually.
Speaker B:Well, we'll talk offline.
Speaker B:He was asking for a lot of money, though.
Speaker A:We'll talk, but yes.
Speaker A:Love y'.
Speaker B:All.
Speaker A:Thank you.
Speaker A:It's such a pleasure.

Speaker B:Come that you might have life more abundantly.
Speaker B:Come on, Joy.
Speaker B:See, that's how you bring it back.
Speaker B:Sidebar before we go, since you said that, you know that that's what we saying.
Speaker B:I was in the gospel choir here at Monk.
Speaker B:There's the State.
Speaker B:And that was a song that we would always sing everywhere like they always wanted us to do.
Speaker B:Joy, it's called More Abundantly.
Speaker B:So when you said that.
Speaker B:Yeah, but I'm gonna do this instead.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker B:I actually like this song now.
Speaker A:It's just like it was the idea of, like, it being this very, like, cool little Christian hip hop song.
Speaker A:It's all of a sudden I was like, oh, we is in the slums.
Speaker B:Like, whoa.
Speaker B:I actually am going to add that to my library.
Speaker B:Thank you.
Speaker A:Absolutely.
Speaker B:So on that note.
