Cass City won the rubber match with Bad Axe for the 2023 season, defeating the Hatchets 54-45. Carter Patrick tied his second-highest scoring total for the season, dropping 27 points, including going 11-15 from the free throw line. Riley Swiderski chipped in 12 points, while Mike Fernald added 7 and Evan Clark 5. Trent Patrick hit one three-pointer on the night.

Bad Axe finished the season with their leading scorer Keaton Braun pacing the Hatchets with 21 points. Chase Walker added 11 points and Michael Janssen scored 7 in the loss.

With the win, Cass City advanced to the District Championship against the Sandusky Wolves, played on Friday, March 10, 2023.
