Faith got the chance to speak with the production sound mixer Ande Schurr yesterday about all of the incredibly complex sonic challenges faced when filming on a tropical island for Lord of the Flies.

Ande Schurr is a Singapore-based Production Sound Mixer with over 20 years of international experience in feature films, high-end series, and documentaries. Most recently his credits include Lord of the Flies on Netflix and BBC, and Monkey Man. He was also the Production Sound Mixer on Taika Waititi’s feature film Hunt for the Wilderpeople. Ande is dedicated to capturing authentic, high-fidelity textures and sound in every project he is on.
