We're not gonna pay it and no, we ain't gonna pay it. We're not gonna pay it anymore.
Pete:
Are you sick of the ever rising cost of motorcycle registration and ACC levies here in New Zealand? If you're nodding your head, you're not alone. I'm Pete.
passed my motorcycle test in:
My I bought an adventure bike, took some courses, and now I've clocked over 20,000 km exploring the South Island. Along the way, I kept seeing social media posts from the motorcycle advocacy group New Zealand, or magnz.
At first I scrolled past, but those posts about the massive ACC levy hikes made me stop and pay attention.
I followed the page and signed up, but I stayed quiet until I was asked to ride as Taylen Charlie at the protest ride to the High Court in Christchurch in June. That ride, pulled together in less than 40 hours, was one of the best days I've had on two wheels.
ve been making podcasts since:
I've released over 150 episodes, and my main show, Get Flushed, has won a couple of New Zealand podcast awards. I've got some podcasting equipment, but I'm not a pro with a fancy studio. I do everything myself. I reached out to the magnz team with a proposal.
Why not have a podcast that explains what they do, tackles the real issues facing Kiwi riders, and shares the MAGNZ story? They loved it. So here it is, the very first trailer for Keep It Twisted, the official podcast of magnz. This isn't my show.
I'm here on behalf of the team.
If you enjoy it, we'll bring more episodes featuring interviews with the MAGNZ crew, deep dives into the Reg Joe Freeze campaign and the legal case we presented at Court. We'll share news about upcoming rallies and events, member stories, reviews, and anything else you want to hear. So here's what I need you to do.
One, hit subscribe right now so the next episode lands directly in your feed. Two, head to magnz.org nz Click the big orange button and add your name to the High Court action.
It costs nothing, but it helps us show strength in numbers. And three go to the MAGNZ Facebook page, hit follow and tell us what you think about the show. The links are in the notes. Thanks for listening.
Stands up. Visors down. And keep it twisted.
