What if the biggest obstacles standing between you and the life you're meant to live aren't really time, money, or risk—but the beliefs you've attached to them? Through personal experiences and practical wisdom, Wendy invites you to question the beliefs that have shaped your decisions and discover how small, consistent steps can create meaningful change. She shares why confidence grows through action, how asking for help is a sign of strength rather than weakness, and why finding a supportive community is essential to living authentically.

You are listening to The Awakening Woman On The Rise.
Speaker:If you are a woman who is seeking to live a more authentic life,
Speaker:but are feeling not enough to step out fully just yet, you are in the right place.
Speaker:If you are a woman who is looking to live your personal truth
Speaker:and make the impact you truly desire, you are in the right place.
Speaker:I'm your host, Wendy Yacboski. Let's step out in this together.
Speaker:So what is an Awakening Woman? One thing about an Awakening Woman is that she's willing to question
Speaker:what she's always believed makes her successful, makes her confident,
Speaker:makes her a part of everyone else, that she belongs to what's going on.
Speaker:But the thing is, is that if we don't question what we believed up until now,
Speaker:we can't have a different experience. So I want us to be able to look at Awakening as
Speaker:seeing what it is that we are believing that is stopping us from going forward,
Speaker:stopping us from listening to that inner voice that says,
Speaker:Honey, this is for you to do. You can do this. But oh my God, do I have the time to do it?
Speaker:I'm so busy. I just can't stop right now. But what if whatever you're feeling called to do
Speaker:or to start could be started in 10 minutes? Not in 10 minutes, but with 10 minutes,
Speaker:with five minutes. Imagine how you'd feel if you could give yourself that portion of time.
Speaker:How would you feel mentally, do you think? Do you think, Oh my God, I started. Oh my God,
Speaker:I had a good thought. Oh my God, I can do this. That's what I want you to look at.
Speaker:Sometimes I know for myself, being transparent here, sometimes I think I need to do the whole
Speaker:thing at once. Do I start? Not likely. As a matter of fact, hardly ever. But there's something
Speaker:called the Pomodoro Method. You may be familiar with it. And that is where we give ourselves,
Speaker:it could be a half an hour, it could be 10 minutes, it could be five minutes. So we do it
Speaker:for that amount of time that we've made an agreement with ourselves to do. And after that
Speaker:10 minutes or five minutes, we can stop if we need to. But what I have found is that when I give
Speaker:myself that time, I want to go further. I get on a roll. Ideas start coming. It's amazing how it
Speaker:happens. So time does not have to be the barrier that it feels like for us. And here's another one,
Speaker:money. Do you ever believe that money is a barrier to doing what you want to do?
Speaker:Now that can be a little bit tough. It's definitely something that I have struggled with.
Speaker:I grew up believing that there was never enough money. And that money doesn't grow on trees.
Speaker:That money, you have to, oh gosh, this is a tough one to say. But I found that for myself,
Speaker:it seemed like to have money, I needed to not be myself. Now, I don't know if that's anything that
Speaker:you have ever experienced or had the idea of. But it's something that I'm needing to
Speaker:to question now. This is one thing I've learned. If I don't ask for what I want,
Speaker:it is never going to happen. I have had so many experiences lately where I have said,
Speaker:I can do this right now. But I can't do that right now. And what I found is that whoever I would be
Speaker:working with is willing to support me, knowing that we've got a plan. Sometimes we just don't
Speaker:have it all at once, all that money. But it doesn't mean that the goal, that the dream,
Speaker:that the initiative is not possible. So let's question our beliefs about money.
Speaker:Another one, the third one that I'm going to talk about is risk. I can't afford the risk.
Speaker:What if I fail? What if I feel humiliated? What if I don't know what to say next?
Speaker:You know, here's the thing I'm learning about risk. I really attribute confidence to risk as well,
Speaker:because it's very risky to not feel confident. And I always used to expect that confidence
Speaker:comes first. When I'm confident enough, I can risk. But here's the deal. Without risking,
Speaker:without taking the action first, I don't have the confidence. And the risk does not happen.
Speaker:So again, let's chunk it down a little. What if we don't have to do the whole thing
Speaker:confidently at once? What if there's one thing in the scheme of what it is we want to do
Speaker:that we feel confident about doing, and we do that, and we build the bridge forward?
Speaker:Building our confidence, building our risk resilience, because we're learning to trust
Speaker:ourselves. These risks, these obstacles to growth are key to be willing to look at, to question,
Speaker:and reframe, because you have a purpose. You have a mission. You have a heart's desire
Speaker:to be able to give yourself in such a way that I'm not going to pretend I know what you want to do,
Speaker:but it's something that's really important for you to do. And I can only tell you that
Speaker:if you don't do it, life will never change. Risk won't change. Money won't change. Time won't
Speaker:change. You'll continue to feel stuck. And I can tell you that from my own experience.
Speaker:I am now starting to move forward in being willing to have questioned what I have thought
Speaker:was necessary to feel successful, to feel fulfilled, to feel confident. And I'm realizing
Speaker:that it's so much less onerous than I thought, because I can chunk it down now. And it takes
Speaker:actually so much less than I thought it did. And one of the things that is really helpful
Speaker:is having at least one person who believes in you, who is experienced in
Speaker:challenging their beliefs and finding a new way to do it, so that you can go to them and say,
Speaker:you know what? I just really need to talk right now. I'm feeling this is impossible.
Speaker:I don't know which way to turn. And that you can feel so safe to talk with them, hear their
Speaker:thoughts, and know that they are not only believing in you, but they are with you in this.
Speaker:Your community is really, really key. I am finding that community is really, really key for me.
Speaker:I want to share something with you that feels a bit vulnerable, but really important for me to
Speaker:share with you. I didn't realize the belief I had that I needed to do everything myself.
Speaker:If I didn't do it myself, the credit was not mine. But what I didn't realize at that time
Speaker:except that I believed I should do it myself, is that I can't do it myself. And that can't
Speaker:is not a weakness. Let's look at this. How much do we really do ourselves?
Speaker:We can do things ourselves, but with the help of others. Sometimes we don't even realize how
Speaker:others are helping us. But when I came to realize that I can't do everything myself,
Speaker:and that when I take action, even with somebody else helping me, we both get the credit. It's
Speaker:not that I don't get any credit. I'm willing. I'm ready. I've reframed it. I am getting the credit,
Speaker:and I acknowledge who has helped me do it. Please, please, please remember that we do
Speaker:nothing alone. You do nothing alone. We don't need to do anything alone. And this is part of
Speaker:the reframe in terms of moving forward with our dream. Because when we can't ask for help,
Speaker:and there is help, it stops us from going forward, or it stops us at that same place every time.
Speaker:I know that place, and I want to support you to move over that place or through it,
Speaker:whatever is working for you. There can be a tendency for women to self-isolate.
Speaker:In speaking for myself, when I self-isolate, it's when I'm not believing in myself.
Speaker:Sometimes women will feel unvalued, unappreciated, unsupported by women or men,
Speaker:and they look at it as, I shouldn't do what I want to do. And when I feel poorly about myself,
Speaker:when I feel like I'm not enough, and I'm not seen, and I'm not heard, it's like I internalize.
Speaker:It's not safe to be out there in what it is that I want to do. And this is where I believe that
Speaker:finding our people, finding our community is really, really important because there are people
Speaker:that see us and hear us and want to support us in going forward. That self-isolation is a behavior.
Speaker:It isn't something that needs to be an ongoing reality in our life. Yes, sometimes we need to
Speaker:go in and think or whatever, but isolation, self-isolation is an old behavior that we can
Speaker:change by finding our community, finding our people one at a time. Don't think you have to
Speaker:have 30 people for you all at once. One at a time works. I have found personally that there is such
Speaker:a huge cost in not going for what matters to me, for going for my dream, for listening to my soul.
Speaker:One of them is lack of self-confidence. It feeds on itself. The other is depression.
Speaker:It's a natural, I'm thinking that it's a natural reaction when some part of us is saying,
Speaker:hello, hello, and we're going, no, no, that our mind and our bodies are connected.
Speaker:So, we can't be thinking one thing and having a different experience in our body. The same as if
Speaker:our bodies experience something, if our mind's not acknowledging it, then the circulation is not
Speaker:happening. So, depression is one of the results. Sickness can be another result. I find that when
Speaker:I'm not following the soul prompts, I'll call it that, that my immunity lowers. I can be not well
Speaker:just for that very reason, I will experience sickness. And, you know, honestly, and I think
Speaker:that everyone on this call not only cares about their soul dream, but they care about others in
Speaker:our life. So, when I am really struggling with who I am, it impacts my relationships.
Speaker:You know, we don't have to be pleasing everyone all the time. It's not about that, but we do want
Speaker:to be happy within ourselves and with those that we love by being ourselves, but also accepting
Speaker:ourselves in such a way that we're showing up in our greatest vibe, let's say, our greatest energy,
Speaker:our greatest light. My hope for everyone listening to this podcast is that you will be willing to
Speaker:not only question what you believed up until now, but to feel safe in being able to question yourself.
Speaker:I want you to feel safe to be who you are because the truth is, is that it's us we see in the mirror
Speaker:every morning. And as you continue to listen to this podcast, I want you to know how supported
Speaker:you are in this community, that you have something valuable and essential to offer, and that
Speaker:every day in every way, as the old saying goes, I know that you are becoming more and more
Speaker:your soul identity, that soul that wants you to grow, that wants you to express,
Speaker:that wants you to love, that wants you to be light in every area of your life. You've got this.
