In this episode of “How Do You Say That?!” sponsored by britishvoiceover.co.uk, Katy Maw joins Sam and Mark to talk about finding our quiz show personas, how to voice successfully despite personal tragedies, and making sure you approach a script with conviction because "If you hold back people hear it".
Our VO question this week is all about whether it's worth taking a travel kit away with you on holiday.
We’d love you to join in and send us your version of one of the reads in today’s show – just pop it onto an mp3 and send it to podcast@britishvoiceover.co.uk

Script 2
There are 6 primary gases that have the most significant impact on the distinctive odour of a decaying body. These are:
Cadaverine (rotting fish odour)
Putrescine (faeces odour)
Indole (sticky sweet odour)
Hydrogen sulphide (rotten egg odour)
Methanethiol (rotting cabbage odour)
Dimethyl disulphide & Trisulphide (foul garlic odour)
By far the most common gases that contribute to the putrid smell of a cadaver are cadaverine & putrescine.

About our guest:
Katy has been voicing for 24 years now after becoming a classically trained actor in London. She works daily, predominantly on corporate & commercial scripts & has voiced literally thousands of local & National radio ads over the years and she works across all other mediums of voicing, like e-learning and IVR, narration and dubbing/ADR. She has been seen & heard on television and film sporadically over the years (Sherlock, Eastenders) and has, in more recent years, started voicing video games and audio drama as she gets back into her dramatic acting.
Her clients include Amazon, Blizzard, Warhammer, ASDA, T K Maxx, Global, Bauer, ITV & the BBC, but that is just the tip of the Blue Chip iceberg. A natural RP speaker but equally at home using accents particular when she gets to use her Bristolian home town accent!
