In this week's episode, I'm talking about why podcasts are great for your business.
A key point is that you can build authority in your zone of genius - you do this by creating content that you know will resonate with them.
It gives your potential clients a chance to get to know you better and will help them decide whether they want to work with you.
They are a way to create engagement with your listeners and expand your community.
They compliment your marketing overall. Your podcast is part of it, not a separate entity.
You can utilise your content and repurpose it into other forms like blogs, email marketing, social media posts, audio and visual clips.
Make sure you put them on your website, this will help increase SEO. You will drive more traffic to your website so people can see how awesome you are!

Welcome to podcasting one on one with me your host
Unknown:Rachel. This podcast is for female business owners and
Unknown:solopreneurs that are looking to start a podcast that add to your
Unknown:own already awesome offering. I'll give you helpful advice
Unknown:that you can take away and use in your podcasting journey. I
Unknown:hope to answer those tricky questions that just keep you
Unknown:from starting. Once a month, I'll be joined by other female
Unknown:podcasters. They'll share their journey with you and offer tips
Unknown:and advice they discovered along the way. Let's get started.
Unknown:Hi, and welcome to this week's episode. This week, I want to
Unknown:look at why podcasts are great for your business. I think
Unknown:podcasts work really well for you and your business, they are
Unknown:a really valuable piece of content that you can create.
Unknown:Podcasts enable you to build your authority in your zone of
Unknown:genius. You do this by creating contents, that you you're
Unknown:creating the content for your audience that you know will
Unknown:resonate with them, and then solidifying your position as an
Unknown:authority in your area. It is also a great way for potential
Unknown:clients to get to know you better, and could be the
Unknown:deciding factor in whether they would like to work with you.
Unknown:Because you're showcasing your personality, and how you think
Unknown:your ideas. And then obviously that all important building your
Unknown:authority, so they could listen to your podcasts and yeah, be
Unknown:the deciding factor for they want to work with you. Podcasts
Unknown:are a chance to forge a personal connection with your listeners.
Unknown:It's like a one on one conversation with them. They are
Unknown:taking you around with them while they're listening in their
Unknown:ears. And it's just such a personal way in which you can
Unknown:talk to them. So that is where they work incredibly well. And
Unknown:because you've got this listenership your audience, it's
Unknown:podcast can be a way to create that all important engagement
Unknown:with them. You know, you're you're getting to know your
Unknown:audience better. By having your podcasts you can ask questions,
Unknown:you can take episode ideas from the content that your audience
Unknown:is putting out there, you're paying attention to them, and
Unknown:you're showing them you're listening to them by creating
Unknown:your podcast content for them. And then your podcast can help
Unknown:your marketing overall, you know, your podcast is part of
Unknown:your marketing, it's not a separate entity. And in creating
Unknown:this, you know, amazing piece of content on perhaps a weekly
Unknown:basis. This will then lead into helping you create the content
Unknown:for the rest of your marketing for your business. You know, you
Unknown:can utilise the content, from your podcast episodes into
Unknown:blogs, for your email marketing, different types of social media
Unknown:posts, audio and visual clips, all these things. The podcast is
Unknown:helping you streamline those things. That is where I mean for
Unknown:myself, my podcast episodes is my main piece of content. And
Unknown:then as I just said, on create the other pieces of content
Unknown:around the episode, it can bring up specific questions that you
Unknown:might want to expand upon, in that from that episode, you if
Unknown:you've got guests coming on, you might be learning something that
Unknown:you never knew before. And that can be a really great way to
Unknown:promote your episode. You can also put your podcast on your
Unknown:website. And when you drive people to listen to your
Unknown:podcasts or your website, you're driving more traffic to your
Unknown:website, increasing your SEO. And then also when you repurpose
Unknown:your podcasts into the different types of content I mentioned.
Unknown:You know have especially blogs, having those on your website.
Unknown:It's all really valuable, long form content that will help your
Unknown:search rankings which is helping which will then help more people
Unknown:find you and see how awesome you are. It's important to point out
Unknown:as well that podcasting is a growing market they have got
Unknown:exponentially more popular especially since COVID.
Unknown:I think I think they were growing anyway, but I think that
Unknown:COVID we'd kind of like imploded that because a lot of people,
Unknown:you know, did podcasts around the pandemic and things like
Unknown:that, and we were just at home more. So that increased it.
Unknown:Here's a little stat for you. According to Buzzsprout, the
Unknown:number of podcast listeners has grown to 29.5% over the last
Unknown:three years, I mean, that's quite a large portion of growth.
Unknown:In the UK, 50% of adults have listened to a podcast, and 25%
Unknown:are regular listeners. That is a really, you know, big chunk of
Unknown:people there. And I don't want you getting thinking that all
Unknown:met, there's so many podcasts out there, it's grown so much my
Unknown:podcast is not going to cut through the noise, but the
Unknown:market is not saturated. If you compare the amount of blogs to
Unknown:podcasts, then the number of podcasts is still relatively
Unknown:low. And we all know the value of a well written blog. This
Unknown:should not stop you from benefiting from everything that
Unknown:a podcast can do for you and your business. So to recap, why
Unknown:are podcast great for your business, you can build your
Unknown:authority in your zone of genius. It gives your potential
Unknown:clients a chance to get to know you better, forging a personal
Unknown:connection with them, and helping to create that all
Unknown:important engagement. I hope you've enjoyed this week's
Unknown:episode and you've got something out of it. If you have any
Unknown:questions, then please let me know I would love to hear from
Unknown:you. I also offer a free 30 minute session. If you have any
