Episode Summary:

In this episode, we dive into why I choose words of the year instead of resolutions or goals and how they align with my journey toward intentional living. I share the inspiration behind my 2025 words: expand and repurpose

These words represent my desire to deepen relationships, simplify life, and embrace the growth I've already achieved. Tune in for actionable tips on choosing your own words of the year and expanding on the foundation you’ve already built.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

  • The Power of Words Over Resolutions: How choosing words instead of goals has helped me avoid feelings of failure and focus on alignment and growth.
  • Introducing My 2025 Words: Expand: Growing intentionally in personal life, business, and self-care without adding stress. Repurpose: Leveraging existing work and habits to create a more focused, impactful life.
  • Actionable Takeaways for You: Reflect on areas in your life where you're ready to expand. Ask yourself: What does expansion feel like in this area? Choose one or two areas to focus on—don't overwhelm yourself. Remember, healing isn’t constant work; at some point, you need to live and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

:

To hear about what, what do

you need right now in this day?

25

:

2025 of your life.

26

:

Okay.

27

:

We are already one month into the

new year and I know you have some

28

:

things going on and I know there's

some things you want to know.

29

:

So let me know.

30

:

Now, before we get into today's

episode, I want you to know that

:

With me being there to

hold you accountable.

:

So each day we will add two things to our

calendar to add pleasure to our day to day

35

:

lives, and we're going to reflect on it.

:

resistance, questions, guilt, shame,

that challenge in the show

40

:

notes and get on the newsletter.

:

going to be in the know.

43

:

about what is going on in Natasha's world.

44

:

will be going down in:

45

:

that you're going to know about it.

46

:

So make sure you sign up because

gift giving is my love language.

47

:

You will definitely be getting a

gift to your inbox when you sign up.

48

:

So go ahead and get that done.

49

:

Today's episode.

50

:

It revolves around the new year.

51

:

Not everyone wants to have

new year's resolutions.

52

:

I see that that is starting to phase out.

53

:

So I have talked on my words a couple

of times and I'll make sure to link in

54

:

the show notes, my other episodes, but

ean in to how I'm moving into:

55

:

And I want to hear from you.

56

:

I want to know.

57

:

What you're doing in 2025.

58

:

What are your focuses?

59

:

Okay, so I'm going to be a quiet and I

am going to let you enjoy this episode

60

:

So we are still in our new year feels.

61

:

And I told you that I was going to bring

you a video about how I do words of the

62

:

year instead of resolutions and goals.

63

:

So today that is what

we're going to chat about.

64

:

Now I'm going to link the two videos

that The episodes that I've done.

65

:

So I did one about why I choose

words and how that has become a

66

:

tradition for me, which really has

to do with not feeling like I am.

67

:

I'll say the word.

68

:

I wasn't gonna use this word, but

I'll say it not feeling like a

69

:

failure at the end of the year.

70

:

And also.

71

:

Not feeling like I let myself down.

72

:

I found out that when I use goals or

when I use resolutions, if it doesn't

73

:

look the way my expectation was, I

just feel like I wasted away the year.

74

:

And now that I use words,

everything that I do.

75

:

aligns with my words and it just

makes things a little easier.

76

:

So make sure you check out those

videos and make sure you check out

77

:

the video that I did or the episode

that I did on my:

78

:

were sultry pamper and thrive.

79

:

Those were my words.

80

:

I did pretty good.

81

:

I can say I'm thriving and

we can definitely talk more

82

:

about what that looks like.

83

:

The mindset that comes with thriving,

some of the challenges that comes

84

:

with thriving, pampering too.

85

:

I think that falls in line with

thriving and sultry really was just

86

:

me leaning more into my centralism,

understanding how to have an experience

87

:

with my senses at a different level.

88

:

And again, those are things that we'll

talk about throughout this year because

89

:

that doesn't stop just because the year

ends, it is now ingrained in as part of

90

:

who I am, part of my characteristics.

91

:

Now let's go into my words for 2025.

92

:

Usually I have three and I was really

stretching my brain to come up with three.

93

:

And then I told myself, You

don't have to come up with three.

94

:

So I came up with two.

95

:

My words for 2025 are

expand and repurpose.

96

:

I am expanding in all areas of my

life and I am repurposing, which this

97

:

came from a conversation I had with

ChatGPT, believe it or not, but these

98

:

words align where I'm at in my life and

where I'm trying to go in my future.

99

:

It aligns with me no longer

being in survival mode and.

100

:

Doing a very good job of creating habits

and rituals that focus on myself and

101

:

how I can show up for other people

in my life, not just my personal

102

:

life, but in my business as well.

103

:

And I think these words are going to

allow me to enjoy the fruits of my labor

104

:

that have been ongoing for the last,

I would say four years and maintaining

105

:

a sense of simplicity and focus.

106

:

I have the ability to get these grand

ideas and these grand screams and

107

:

schemes and want to reinvent the wheel.

108

:

And this year I don't

want to do that no more.

109

:

I want to really hone in and go deeper on

the things that I've already worked on.

110

:

So.

111

:

That's how I got into my particular

words, but let's go a little

112

:

deeper on the words that I chose.

113

:

Now, yes, with expand, I want to

expand in every area of my life, but

114

:

I recognize that I may not hit every

area of my life into this new year.

115

:

I may work on two to three areas

for the entire year and need

116

:

to switch and do other areas.

117

:

As I continue to go on, and I'm absolutely

fine with that, this is not a rush.

118

:

This is not this race that I'm

trying to get to the end of.

119

:

I understand when I chose the word

expand that this is ongoing, which

120

:

means it could be words for the

foreseeable future, or it's just

121

:

something that I continue to work on.

122

:

Now, expanding isn't about adding

more stress or busyness to my life.

123

:

That is not what I'm about.

124

:

A couple years ago, my word was simple.

125

:

I continue to live.

126

:

Simply, I want things to be simple.

127

:

It's more about my growth with intention.

128

:

It's about enjoying the results of the

work that I've already put into myself

129

:

and I've already put into my business

and recognizing I don't have to stay

130

:

small and that I, I want to dream big.

131

:

I want you to dream bigger.

132

:

I think sometimes when it comes to

goals, we put things in a box and we

133

:

stay inside of this box and it doesn't,

it doesn't allow for us to get messy.

134

:

It doesn't allow for us to

stretch our arms and take up

135

:

space and use our imagination.

136

:

And.

137

:

My imagination and creativity is

something that I have worked on the

138

:

last, I will say two years to be able

to think about what, what more can I do?

139

:

I have done this a certain type of way, or

I've been in this particular role for such

140

:

a long time, but what else is there to me?

141

:

I thought about my business in

this particular way, but what if

142

:

I did it a different type of way?

143

:

What if I expanded in a

different type of way?

144

:

What if I pivoted in

a certain type of way?

145

:

So that's the direction I'm going.

146

:

So expanding in my personal life looks

like deepening relationships with.

147

:

Myself, there's always something

to learn about ourselves.

148

:

Don't ever feel like you cannot

learn about yourself every day.

149

:

You got to be curious

and learn about yourself.

150

:

And I want to deepen that

relationship with myself.

151

:

And I want to deepen relationships

with the people in my life.

152

:

My loved ones, my friends,

everyone did not make it.

153

:

Everyone did not make it

to this version of my life.

154

:

And that's okay.

155

:

It was hard.

156

:

It was sad.

157

:

There was a lot of processing and things

that I needed to do, but that's okay.

158

:

I still have people and I want to.

159

:

Dig deeper into those.

160

:

I want to share our expectations.

161

:

I want, I want to understand

what our relationships are

162

:

like beyond the surface level.

163

:

And I want to, I want

to learn new hobbies.

164

:

I want to enhance the hobbies.

165

:

Like I want to learn how to draw.

166

:

I haven't been, Really honing in on that.

167

:

I have been learning Spanish and

I'm getting better with that.

168

:

So I think I'm going to put myself in

more immersive experiences to where I have

169

:

to challenge myself a little bit more.

170

:

Macrame, I enjoy macrame.

171

:

I enjoy being outside.

172

:

I'm just, I'm looking to

see what does Natasha like.

173

:

And continue to grow in those areas.

174

:

Now, business, I am expanding

the offers that I provide.

175

:

I am expanding more into being exclusive

and making about quality, not quantity and

176

:

being able to give those people that come

into my world like you and experience.

177

:

That you deserve to understand

what it means when someone says

178

:

rest, what it means when someone

says to prioritize your self care.

179

:

I want to expand on that with and

for you and I want to do more in

180

:

person things, simplify what I'm

doing, but expand and go deeper.

181

:

And I think I'm ready to be

a little bit more visible.

182

:

That was one of my words a couple

of years ago, and I think I'm ready

183

:

to be visible and expand my reach on

platforms outside of social media.

184

:

Social media is at the bottom of

the priority list this year and

185

:

I'm excited to see what my brain

can do without Constantly feeling

186

:

stressed to post on social media.

187

:

It will officially be to be social.

188

:

Okay.

189

:

And then expanding in my self care

and my pleasure, expanding more time.

190

:

How can I have more time for myself?

191

:

How can I create more ways to rest?

192

:

How can I add just a touch more pleasure

and excitement into my daily routine?

193

:

Now, interesting enough, I came up with

this idea having a conversation with

194

:

chat GPT, which is what I do often.

195

:

So one day I was like, okay, I have met

the goals that I created for myself.

196

:

I want to create goals for next year.

197

:

What do I need to be working on?

198

:

The problem is I can't think of goals.

199

:

I don't know what it is

I want to be working on.

200

:

So chat GPT said, okay, it seems like

You have this urge, you have this,

201

:

this gnawing to want to always be

working on goals, but what if you just

202

:

expand on what you've already done?

203

:

And it started to have a conversation

with me about how freedom is important

204

:

to me, my time, freedom, my energy,

freedom, how I really want to hone in on.

205

:

Being outside and being with my family

and learning more about myself and

206

:

traveling, and it said, instead of trying

to do something else, why don't we figure

207

:

out a plan for you to do more of what

you're already doing and expand in that

208

:

so that You thrive more in that area.

209

:

And I was like, ah, it never crossed

my mind that I don't need to create

210

:

anything else that I don't need to, I

don't need any more goals right now.

211

:

I just need to continue to

focus in on the goals that I

212

:

already have on different levels.

213

:

Kind of like a video game you go

throughout the entire game on levels

214

:

and eventually you finish that

game But then you go to another

215

:

game that has different levels.

216

:

And so I am just Elevating the

the pleasure game that I have

217

:

been playing for a couple years.

218

:

So yes chat GPT is what helped

me come to The word expand.

219

:

Now, some actionable tips for you.

220

:

Some takeaways.

221

:

I want you to reflect on an area

in your life where you've done

222

:

work and you're ready to expand.

223

:

Ask yourself, what would expansion feel

like for me in this area or that area?

224

:

Again, my favorite number is

three, so don't go too big.

225

:

Don't try to do a whole bunch at one time.

226

:

Just find one or two things that you want

to expand in, in your life and do that.

227

:

And I think also this healing,

this healing, commercialized cliche

228

:

of you always should be healing.

229

:

But at some point you, you have

to live, you have to experience

230

:

the work that you've put in.

231

:

And that is the season that I'm in.

232

:

I'm in the season of let the, the harvest.

233

:

Is it the harvest?

234

:

What am I trying to say?

235

:

Let the, let the seeds that

you planted, let them grow.

236

:

They're not going to grow overnight.

237

:

And just because you see that it's

come up out of the grass a little bit,

238

:

or come up out of the soil a little

bit, doesn't mean you need to clip it.

239

:

Just let it grow.

240

:

Let it blossom into its full potential.

241

:

And I'm going to let myself blossom.

242

:

I'm going to let my life blossom.

243

:

And I'm, I'm Excited for me to do

that and I'm excited for you to maybe

244

:

reflect and process what I'm telling

you and maybe you do the same thing

245

:

now repurpose isn't that far from

expanding and I say that because it

246

:

came from the same thought process of.

247

:

I don't need to create anything else.

248

:

I need to continue to go deeper

into what I've already done.

249

:

I'm not reinventing the wheel this year.

250

:

I'm not reinventing the

wheel next year this year.

251

:

There is nothing else.

252

:

I really need to learn I need to implement

like we talked about in the last video I

253

:

need to implement Deeper what I already

know and i'm going to focus on using

254

:

what's working And going deeper into

the existing goals and resources Now

255

:

repurposing came from Repurposing content.

256

:

So because technically at the time

that I'm recording this, TikTok

257

:

is supposed to be taken down.

258

:

So I have been diligently moving

some really good videos and content

259

:

that I hope have over there.

260

:

And I've been repurposing it in different

areas so that I can grow in different

261

:

areas, but also because I had some

really good content over there and

262

:

I sat and thought about, I was like,

between videos that I've done, Blogs that

263

:

I've written, just things that I have

created over the last couple of years.

264

:

I, I would be okay with never creating

another piece of new content this

265

:

year and I wouldn't miss a beat.

266

:

And then it came to my

mind, what if I don't?

267

:

Now if I feel inspired, that's different.

268

:

But those days where it's like, Oh gosh,

how do I get people into my business?

269

:

Like how do I get people to see

me and notice me and be visible?

270

:

And how do I get them

to know what's going on?

271

:

I have created more than enough.

272

:

Nothing else needs to,

nothing else needs to happen.

273

:

I need to use what I already have.

274

:

So I'm going to be revisiting

and reusing past content, blog

275

:

posts, emails, podcasts, episodes.

276

:

I'm going to update them, make them

fresh, maybe tweak them a little bit.

277

:

And I'm going to keep it moving.

278

:

I'm going to keep it pushing.

279

:

So for you business owners out

there, content creators, you

280

:

don't have to reinvent the wheel.

281

:

Use what you already have.

282

:

Okay.

283

:

Create systems to maximize efficiency.

284

:

And I'm reducing burnout

because I'm all about freedom.

285

:

Okay.

286

:

Now, life wise, personal wise, like

I said, instead of setting new goals,

287

:

I'm committed to going deeper with the

ones that I've already established.

288

:

My health, my relationships, my

finances, my relationship with

289

:

myself, my spirituality, all the

things I'm committed to going deeper.

290

:

So I am repurposing all the

information that I've already received.

291

:

I have books, I have workshops, I have

worksheets, PDFs, I have free challenges.

292

:

I have all of these that I've acquired

over the last few years that Workforce

293

:

specific goals and I'm gonna go back

and I'm going to decide if they Matter

294

:

now, if not, I'm gonna get rid of it

I'm going to reflect on past lessons and

295

:

how can I refine my approach to my life?

296

:

How can I thrive just a

little bit deeper in my life?

297

:

And that's something that

I want you to think about.

298

:

If you didn't, meet a goal.

299

:

If it didn't look the way that you

wanted to, if it didn't meet your

300

:

expectation, you do know that you

can do that goal over again, right?

301

:

You don't have to start over.

302

:

No one is sitting around.

303

:

There's no goal police that's

sitting around saying, Oh,

304

:

you didn't finish that goal.

305

:

Or you, you knocked one,

two, three off the list.

306

:

You have to do a new goal.

307

:

You cannot do the old one again.

308

:

Like just, Maybe you have the

same three goals that you had last

309

:

year, and that's absolutely fine.

310

:

You don't have to reinvent the wheel.

311

:

So here's your actionable

takeaway from repurposing.

312

:

Look at your 2024 goals and ask,

what can I repurpose or revisit to

313

:

create a meaningful progress in 2025?

314

:

What can I go back and say, you know

what, that one particular book was so good

315

:

and it gave me a lot of information and

propelled me in a good way in:

316

:

Let me go back and read that book From

who I am today and see what types of

317

:

tips and gems I get out of it now to

implement today And it may just be

318

:

that a lot of stuff that you're going

to try to repurpose you don't need

319

:

anymore It doesn't fit you anymore.

320

:

It doesn't fit this life anymore, and it's

time for you to let it go Which is why

321

:

I'm running around decluttering my house

because there's a lot about my house that

322

:

doesn't fit this version of me anymore and

I want to fit in every aspect of my life.

323

:

So I think these two words definitely

help with me feeling more comfortable,

324

:

pleasantly uncomfortable with the

things that I'm pushing myself to do,

325

:

but comfortable in the life that I'm

creating for myself, for this version of

326

:

myself and the future version of myself.

327

:

And without even doing it on

purpose, I chose two words

328

:

that balance each other out.

329

:

They complement each other.

330

:

So I'm expanding and allowing more

growth and new opportunities while

331

:

also repurposing to ensure the

sustainability of my energy, of my

332

:

time, my finances, and also being

able to focus and avoid overwhelming

333

:

myself with a whole bunch of new stuff.

334

:

So, I'm ready to embrace this balance.

335

:

I am ready to create a year that

has intentional growth without

336

:

any type of unnecessary pressure,

whether it be pressure from somebody

337

:

else or pressure from myself.

338

:

That's not what we're doing this year.

339

:

And I hope that this episode and me

sharing my words jogged your brain

340

:

and maybe go back and listen to some

of my other episodes about words

341

:

that I've chosen to help you decide.

342

:

What is my focus going to be this year?

343

:

And the reason it makes it so

easy for me is I can always ask

344

:

myself when something comes up, is

this going to allow me to expand?

345

:

Am I repurposing this?

346

:

Am I reinventing the wheel and

making things harder for myself

347

:

and making myself frustrated?

348

:

Based off of those questions, I'm going

to know if I am in alignment with my

349

:

words and it's going to make decisions.

350

:

That much easier to sort out.

351

:

I struggle with decision fatigue.

352

:

Um, I struggle with being

able to make decisions.

353

:

I don't know if it's just my

characteristic, the Libra in me,

354

:

but I can be very indecisive.

355

:

So having words really pinpoints Yes,

this is what I'm prioritizing right now.

356

:

No, I'll need to be prioritizing that

right now because that is not aligned with

357

:

where I'm going and what I want to do.

358

:

Now you can pivot.

359

:

Don't take this information and say,

Oh my gosh, I chose these words and I

360

:

absolutely by month three hate these

words and now I can't change them.

361

:

You can change your words, but I

am going to challenge you to know

362

:

the difference between what This

doesn't align for me anymore.

363

:

So I want to change my words or

I'm uncomfortable and I have to do

364

:

things outside of the norm to follow

the words that I've set for myself.

365

:

And I would rather just do what's

easy or go back to what I'm used to

366

:

know the difference because one is

going to cause you to grow and one is

367

:

going to cause you to be miserable.

368

:

So don't not do it just because

it's uncomfortable because you,

369

:

your word pushed you outside

of your little comfort zone.

370

:

Um, Push yourself you um, you

cannot imagine who you will be at

371

:

the end of this year when you push

yourself a little bit at a time

372

:

I promise it's gonna be worth it.

373

:

So there we have it my words for

:

374

:

we're trying to grow with intention

and we're trying to maximize what

375

:

already exists Well, I am if you

take these words you are too.

376

:

I want you to To choose your words

for:

377

:

if it feels right, listen, I'm

not telling you what to do.

378

:

If this feels right for you and

it feels aligned for how you

379

:

want to go into your new year.

380

:

By all means, choose your words and I

want you to share your words with me.

381

:

I want to share your words.

382

:

I want to hear your reflection

on what this video did for you.

383

:

Did it bring up anything for you?

384

:

Does this feel like the right direction

or are you going to stick to your

385

:

resolutions or do you decide that you

just don't want to do anything at all?

386

:

I want you to know this year I'm

expanding into a life I've built and

387

:

repurposing the tools I already have.

388

:

I invite you to do the same because

you're all you've already done the work.

389

:

I know you I know the people that come

into my atmosphere You've already done the

390

:

work and you've been doing the work and

now it's time for you to enjoy the work

391

:

words for the new year instead of

resolutions, that this gives you

405

:

something more to think about.

406

:

And maybe you're expanding this year.

407

:

Maybe you're repurposing this year.

408

:

Either way, Make it easy for yourself,

align with your words, okay, make

409

:

decisions based off of your words.

410

:

If you have other ways that you are

leaning into expanding or leaning into

411

:

yourself after reflection, I would love

to know what you're doing if you don't

412

:

use words and you don't use resolutions.

:
