And you know what? It's a really common feeling, even though it's not something that might be commonly spoken about. There is a silver lining though. You're not alone and content creator block is not a dead end. There are tools and strategies we can use to get us through these creative hurdles. Today's episode is about just that getting the creative energy flowing again and using techniques for when content creator blocks strikes so that it's only a temporary roadblock and [00:02:00] we're back on track creating the good stuff.
Let's understand first why this content creator block happens and why it's normal. It's okay to feel this way. We know the feeling of when our creativity hits the wall and when we struggle to come up with new ideas and we're feeling really unmotivated to finish projects. It's hard. When it hits, it's a horrible feeling.
And there's some common causes of content creator block. Let's have a look at why this is happening to us. It happens to all of us. Number one is that dreaded perfectionism. Trying to make everything perfect can stop your creative flow. Lack of inspiration. Sometimes, the muse doesn't visit. Leaving you feeling stuck.
You're not [:These creator blocks are a signal that it's time to pause and rethink our creative strategies. Acknowledging that the block is common will pave the way for us to find solutions and strategies to overcome it, and also help us adjust our approach to creativity and content production. Righto, so we know what creator's block is.
We know why it's happening. Let's have a look at some strategies to overcome content creators block. I'm going to give you six strategies to use when this horrible thing strikes you next. First of all, brace imperfection and process. Just drop perfectionism. Perfectionism can be a major roadblock for many.
t it does is pressure you to [:Soon you'll have a suite of content that is your creative masterpiece. Embrace imperfection, progress, and the process of creation. Tip number two, engage in inspirational and creative activities. Creativity can't be forced, but you can give it space to take shape. Set aside time to explore new ideas and experiences and [00:06:00] environments.
These can all spark creativity. Diversify your creative activity. Not all inspiration comes from watching other creators. Anyone that follows me on my personal account will know that I sing in an indie music choir, which is wild. I love to read and go to the museum and spend time out outdoors. And I expose myself to All of these different sorts of creative environments, because not only is it a space away from work, but I can see the way that creators create in different mediums.
y breathing right. Sometimes [:So changing your environment will provide new perspectives and inspirations. Get out there and try different things. You also need to schedule breaks. Picture this. You've planned a content day. You are whipped. It's in your calendar and today's the day. You're going to create awesome content, but then content block strikes and you are left with zero creativity and a blank page, making you feel frustrated as your well planned day is starting to look far less productive.

I just couldn't get to where I needed to be from a creativity point of view. I stopped procrastinating, took the dogs for a walk and came back to my desk with a clear and focused mindset. And that short break of 20 minutes or so saved me what probably would have been an hour or more procrastinating and doing other shit that wasn't going to get me to my objective of being creative.

These resources are a goldmine for content ideas. Just search something like TikTok Trends Report or Pinterest Trends report, whatever platform that you want to know about in terms of trends and strategy, just search that platform name and the trends report and you'll have that goldmine for your content ideas.
