This week on the show Alyssa and Haley are chatting with rookie pro triathlete Tara Grosvner. Tara made the leap up to the pro ranks in 2019 after quickly progressing through the age group field in the seasons prior. She talks about her decision to get her pro card, and how different it is racing as an elite. Tara has had a busy season of racing in 2021, including four top 10 finishes at the Ironman and 70.3 distances, and a Kona qualification slot at Ironman Tulsa. Tara didn’t grow up as an athlete, she found sport later in life after her boss suggested she should seek out a healthier lifestyle. This started with a goal to climb Mt Kilimanjaro, training with a local climbing group in London on the weekends, and has now evolved to her becoming a full-time professional athlete. Tara talks through the evolution of her athletic career, and explains how things have changed for her since becoming a full time athlete and hiring a coach this summer.
