The early bird episode with the dynamite couple Kirk and Agnes Ouellette was such a refreshing way to start my day! They were high school sweethearts and became close as swim teammates. Agnes has a background in architecture, and Kirk is in engineering. The conversation flowed, and we talked about aging, parenting, marriage, life in Japan, and friendships. Kirk and Agnes feel like the essence of marriage, and their connection is inspirational. They both love their life in Japan of over ten years and appreciate the consistency and base level of respect. Agnes shares a truth that she heard from a TAC member when she first arrived - as an ex-pat, you lose some things when you leave your country, but you gain the incredible gift of family bonding as a unit.
