Working Hours is a show about a place called Leeds, a time called now and an activity called work. I want to interview 1000 Loiners (people from Leeds) over the 2020s and ask them the second question we all ask everyone - what do you do?
If you're a Loiner and would like to appear on the show then you can email email@example.com with your contact details and a short bio.
Background music is Etude Op. 25 no. 2 in F minor - 'The Bees'
[00:00:19] Working Hours: Now, I've had a lot of jobs in a lot of sectors in a lot of places and this has made me curious about work as a subject to study. I'm no employment expert, I'm just a worker and I want to find out, over this decade and from my hometown, what workers think work actually is. Just, what do the people of Leeds think of work as being? What do we see work as being for?
[00:01:03] Working Hours: and that doesn't happen every century! Working Hours will provide snapshots of how we are dealing with all of our ongoing crises, as well as all the ones to come, as we go through them. I will be able to capture all of it throughout this pivotal decade. Just through the lens of this one topic: work!
[00:01:38] Working Hours: So, what are you doing? What are you waiting for? Listen to Working Hours now for free.
