Shownotes

Sept. 4, 2026: On this show, we often discuss what it takes to create a Vermont that works for everybody. In today's episode, Dr. Melissa M. Houser discusses healthcare and the way it excludes neurodivergent people. She then outlines the hallmarks of neuroinclusive spaces and how practices like universal design support communities as a whole.

Houser is a board-certified family physician and Executive Director of All Brains Belong VT, a Montpelier-based nonprofit working to make healthcare, workplaces, and communities more accessible to neurodivergent people. She is the author of A Failure of Imagination: How the Healthcare System Fails Neurodivergent People—and What We're Doing Instead.
