The doctrine of election, or sometimes called predestination, is one of the most highly contested doctrines in all of Scripture. Though the Bible speaks on election explicitly, clearly, and widely, the truth that God chooses who he will save rubs against the desires of the flesh. The Scriptures present a clear case for the reformed understanding of election, we must simple submit to the word and its teaching.
