Apostles and prophets the foundation of the kingdom

[00:01:01] Matthew 16:15-19 15 Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?”

16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah,[a] the Son of the living God.”17 Jesus replied, “You are blessed, Simon son of John,[b] because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being. 18 Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’),[c] and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell[d] will not conquer it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid[e] on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit[f] on earth will be permitted in heaven.”

[00:03:41] Ephesians 2:13-22 But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ.

14 For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. 15 He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in himself one new people from the two groups. 16 Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death.

17 He brought this Good News of peace to you Gentiles who were far away from him, and peace to the Jews who were near. 18 Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.19 So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family. 20 Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. 21 We are carefully joined together in him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord. 22 Through him you Gentiles are also being made part of this dwelling where God lives by his Spirit.

[00:06:46] 2 Peter 3:3 Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires.

[00:07:43] Jude 1:17 But you, my dear friends, must remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ predicted.

[00:08:56] Psalm 11:3 The foundations of law and order have collapsed.

    What can the righteous do?”

[00:10:08] Jeremiah 1:4-10 4 The Lord gave me this message:

5 “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.

    Before you were born I set you apart

    and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”

6 “O Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I can’t speak for you! I’m too young!”

7 The Lord replied, “Don’t say, ‘I’m too young,’ for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. 8 And don’t be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you. I, the Lord, have spoken!” 9 Then the Lord reached out and touched my mouth and said,

“Look, I have put my words in your mouth!

10 Today I appoint you to stand up

    against nations and kingdoms.

Some you must uproot and tear down,

    destroy and overthrow.

Others you must build up

    and plant.”

[00:11:49] Isaiah 51:16 And I have put my words in your mouth

    and hidden you safely in my hand.

I stretched out[a] the sky like a canopy

    and laid the foundations of the earth.

I am the one who says to Israel,

    ‘You are my people!’”

[00:13:23] 1 Corinthians 3:3 for you are still controlled by your sinful nature. You are jealous of one another and quarrel with each other. Doesn’t that prove you are controlled by your sinful nature? Aren’t you living like people of the world?

[00:17:43] Ephesians 3:3 As I briefly wrote earlier, God himself revealed his mysterious plan to me.
