Then you will understand righteousness and justice, Equity and every
good path.
Solomon. Proverbs 2:9. Hi, it’s Nathan, and this is day 16 of ANOTHER 30 Days of Wisdom. For wise king Solomon, it is no secret that righteousness, justice and equity are inseparably connected to God. The more we push into any of them, the closer we move toward God, and conversely, the closer we move toward God, the more broadly we exhibit righteousness, justice and equity. A move away from either one, directly corresponds to a move away from the other. Thus, if we’re in pursuit of justice, we’re moving toward God—and the sooner we recognize that, the faster we can acquire the needed wisdom to increasingly do justice well. If it isn’t clear already, Solomon makes the direct correlation that when we find true wisdom (justice, righteousness, etc), we also discover God—and the wonder of knowing him. And when we discover him, we discover righteousness, justice, equity, etc. All various forms of wisdom. When we find one, we ALWAYS find the other. AND increased knowledge of either one leads, to increased knowledge of the other. The two are inseparable. Thus, if we follow the stream of justice to its source—God—we have found the great Source of every other good thing. That’s a lot to think about.
