A) The Holy Spirit was making it clear: We must catch this incredible truth. The Holy Spirit in the Old Testament, by the building of the tabernacle and by the people functioning in ministry, brought to light this key: Something better was coming. Jesus was coming. B) The one thing rarely discussed is the Old Testament process for receiving and operating in forgiveness. Because the Holy Spirit didn’t abide in people to the same degree that the New Covenant brings (aka the outpouring of the Holy Spirit), forgiveness was operating in fullness.
