Aisha:

Out with the old and in with the new.

2

:

Well, not exactly.

3

:

If you're following the latest trends

on social media, you may have noticed

4

:

that everyone is sharing their 2023

recap and their in and out lists.

5

:

What's in for 2024 and what is out.

6

:

You got to admit, there is something

refreshing about switching things

7

:

up, but when it comes to your

mental health business, does it

8

:

make sense to burn it all down

and start everything from scratch?

9

:

You're listening to beyond the session

with Aisha, the business podcast that

10

:

teaches you how to create a premium mental

health business and ethically blend your

11

:

clinical skills with entrepreneurship.

12

:

I'm your host, Aisha, a licensed

mental health therapist and strategic

13

:

consultant for mental health industry

leaders who are ready to compassionately

14

:

disrupt the mental health industry,

making it more accessible for clients

15

:

and more sustainable for clinicians.

16

:

Last time on the podcast, I shared

with you all the things that

17

:

I'm keeping the same within my

mental health business in:

18

:

And today we're diving into the

specifics on what I'm changing

19

:

and why you are already familiar

with the four areas to refresh.

20

:

And let me save your future self

from a few headaches and heartaches.

21

:

It is unnecessary to refresh everything

in your business all at once.

22

:

Because if you change too many things

all at once, you are going to feel

23

:

oversimulated and overwhelmed and

will have no energy to maintain what

24

:

stayed the same and what changed

25

:

until you establish a refresh routine

that runs like a well oiled machine,

26

:

pick one of the four areas that we

reviewed in the last episode to refresh.

27

:

Most of my coaching clients decide to

start by refreshing their strategies

28

:

because they know that this will

give them a great return on their

29

:

investment of time and money.

30

:

If you're listening to this podcast

in a state of burnout, I encourage you

31

:

to refresh your satisfaction first so

that you can replenish the mental and

32

:

physical energy it takes to build and

maintain a premium mental health business.

33

:

And if you know that being the founder

of a premium mental health business

34

:

is for you and you're ready to start

crossing goals off your list, realize

35

:

that listening to this podcast is only

going to get you so far because this

36

:

is a one way conversation in order for

me to help you figure out exactly what

37

:

you need to do to reach your goals.

38

:

I need to learn more about you,

your unique goals and your business.

39

:

And that's why in 2024, I will start

hosting live Q and a's on LinkedIn

40

:

and tech talk so that you can get

the answers to your questions about

41

:

ethical marketing strategies and

profitable business development.

42

:

The first live Q and a on LinkedIn

will be on Wednesday, January 10th.

43

:

At 4 30 p.

44

:

m.

45

:

Eastern standard time and if

you are one of my West coast

46

:

listeners, you can tune in 1 30 p.

47

:

m.

48

:

Pacific standard time.

49

:

Each Q and a will have a theme related

to 1 of the topics covered on the podcast

50

:

that week and then you will have a

chance to ask me your related questions

51

:

so that you can apply these advanced

strategies to your mental health business.

52

:

You can access the link to this and

future live events in the show notes.

53

:

Posting these live events on

social media is in alignment with

54

:

my value of creating community.

55

:

In 2024, I want to grow our community

of values driven therapists and mental

56

:

health industry leaders to 10, 000 people.

57

:

And in order to do that, we

have to connect in real time.

58

:

My mission is to help you

become more business savvy.

59

:

And I have to know more about

you and your mental health

60

:

business to make that happen.

61

:

Now, you're probably wondering

why LinkedIn and TikTok instead

62

:

of Instagram and Facebook.

63

:

If you follow me on Instagram, you

know, I post on my Instagram stories

64

:

almost daily, and I'm noticing more and

more lurkers are watching my stories.

65

:

Now, what do I mean by lurkers?

66

:

These are the folks that are watching

your stories, but anytime you thank

67

:

them for the follow or ask them a

follow up question after they've

68

:

reacted with an emoji or answer a

poll question, they don't respond.

69

:

So if you follow me on Instagram,

send me a DM with your favorite emoji.

70

:

Otherwise.

71

:

I will think you're a bot, and my new

philosophy in:

72

:

The good news is that I don't have

this problem on LinkedIn and TikTok.

73

:

On TikTok, even if someone's username

is username:

74

:

questions in the comment section

and that helps create community.

75

:

And LinkedIn is one social media

platform where no one anonymously

76

:

hides behind their keyboard.

77

:

You know, their name, you see their

face and they are very communicative,

78

:

which I love because building

community happens through conversation.

79

:

And if you're serious about building

a profitable mental health business in

80

:

2024, you cannot lurk in the shadows

and expect to reach your goals.

81

:

You have to be visible.

82

:

If you're not following me on TikTok

yet, click the link in the show notes.

83

:

And if you want to get a notification

about when I go live on LinkedIn next

84

:

week, send me a connection request.

85

:

I'll link that profile in

the show notes as well.

86

:

Something else that fueled my decision

to host live Q and A's on LinkedIn

87

:

and TikTok is the need to refresh

my strategy around free resources.

88

:

Last year, I released your path

to a thriving private practice.

89

:

A fun interactive assessment that helps

you identify where you are in your

90

:

entrepreneurial journey and gives you

access to six days of resources to help

91

:

you stay on track with your vision.

92

:

So that one day you can

gracefully enter your MVP era.

93

:

I poured a lot of time, energy, effort,

attention, and focus and money into

94

:

creating this assessment and all the

resources that come along with it.

95

:

And so between the assessment, my podcast,

the blog, my social media content, my

96

:

newsletter, and now the live Q and A's, I

realized a lot of free resources to help

97

:

you start taking action with your private

practice and mental health business.

98

:

In the past, I created

checklists, guidebooks, and

99

:

training videos, all for free 99.

100

:

And like clockwork, the folks that

downloaded these resources, snatched them

101

:

up and did nothing, nothing with them.

102

:

They would sign up for my email newsletter

and not open a single email or access a

103

:

single resource featured on my website.

104

:

So what did I do?

105

:

Cry a river, build a

bridge and get over it.

106

:

No, I went back to my values, evaluated

my vision, realigned my vision with

107

:

my goals and refresh my messaging with

the support of my business mentors.

108

:

You see, having a business mentor is one

of the keys to an entrepreneur's success.

109

:

When you read the biographies and listen

to the interviews of industry leaders

110

:

from around the world, none of them

got to where they were by themselves.

111

:

And most of them have worked with

the same mentors and belong to

112

:

the same masterminds for decades.

113

:

And this is what being a part of the

beyond the session community is all about.

114

:

I believe that a rising

tide lifts all boats.

115

:

Now that I'm living in my MVP era, I

want you to have everything you need to

116

:

become one of the 10, 000 mental health

industry leaders that will compassionately

117

:

disrupt the mental health industry so that

both clients and clinicians can thrive.

118

:

This community is not for the

lurkers or the faint at heart.

119

:

This community is for you.

120

:

If you want to build a premium

mental health business to give you

121

:

the opportunity to spend more high

quality time with yourself, with

122

:

your friends and with your family.

123

:

I have more to share with you about what

I'm looking forward to this year and

124

:

beyond, but I'll save it for the live

Q and a's on LinkedIn and tech talk.

125

:

I hope to see you there.

126

:

And I can't wait to answer your

questions and help you take action

127

:

within your mental health business.

128

:

If you've enjoyed this episode of

beyond the session with Aisha, tell

129

:

a friend and until next time, take

care, talk soon and keep thriving.
