This week on The Pod Charles Cinecast, presented by The Prince Charles Cinema, our hosts Jonathan Foster and Fil Freitas venture to a parallel 1930s timeline to the fictional land of Zubrowka and check into Wes Anderson's 8th Feature THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL!

Ralph Fiennes stars as the quirky concierge Gustave H., who takes on newcomer Tony Revolori as Zero Mustafa to be his protégé, and finds himself as the suspect in the murder of his longtime hotel guest and lover Madame D, portrayed by Tilda Swinton in a ton of makeup. Add in a bunch of Wes Anderson regulars filling out the cast as glorified cameos; a mix of stop-motion, miniatures, and live action; centrally framed shots; changing aspect ratios; and some intricate set design and costumes, this may be the most twee Wes Anderson film of all-time.

Tune in to see if it makes the grade with our hosts and stick around for our final Anderson vs Anderson rankings and a UK Criterion Blu-ray Contest!
