Speaker A:Talks everything countertops and what are the best materials for the job.
Speaker B:And then down below that was in the raised bar because I built this later.
Speaker B:I actually built that lower section out of the paper stone because I wanted something that's going to be durable, something that was going to match that pretty well but give myself a really nice softer surface to work with.
Speaker B:And I really like it for that.
Speaker B:That is something you can do.
Speaker B:And I used power tools to finish it.
Speaker B:Worked out great.
Speaker B:Is it harder to work with than wood?
Speaker B:Yeah, because it's super dense and it's heavy.
Speaker B:But I tell you what, be careful with it too.
Speaker B:Those little slivers you cut off or you're trimming things, be careful with that because that stuff can get as sharp as a knife.
Speaker B:So you need to be careful.
Speaker A:Coming up in this week's second hour of the show, Eric G.
Speaker A:Talks about some great DIY projects for inside your home to improve your indoor air quality.
Speaker A:Sometimes those small projects can have big.
Speaker B:Results, but most of the time you can hire a company to come out and do it for less money than you can go down to your home center and buy the insulation because they have a huge markup on it and you can usually get the work done for almost the price.
Speaker B:I've had it done less than that.
Speaker B:And then take a look and see if you've got any energy rebates that might help you pay for that as well.
Speaker B:Those are all things to take a look at when you've got that.
Speaker B:Those energy rebates can be good.
Speaker B:Now they're depending on what state you are or how those rebates are coming in.
Speaker B:There could be way too many hoops to jump through.
Speaker B:We've got that here with hoops that make it really tough to manage and sometimes you're like, I'm not going to hire a union company to come do now is making it more expensive and I'm just going to do it out of pocket.
Speaker B:So these are all things that you have to be careful with.
Speaker A:Where all that and more on Saturday's around the House show with Eric G.
