Ever wonder why you still feel fatigue or foggy, despite even eating clean could
Speaker:actually be the hidden heavy metals and toxins that are sabotaging your health.
Speaker:So in this episode, I brought in Dr. Wendy Myers to break down how it's
Speaker:actually key minerals and targeted detox protocols can help flush these toxins from
Speaker:your system and revitalize your health.
Speaker:Let's dive into it with her.
Speaker:All right, Wendy, we are here.
Speaker:Thank you so much for joining me today on the TPE Blueprint.
Speaker:Yeah, thanks for having me.
Speaker:Yeah, well, you're, you have a little back.
Speaker:Uh, obviously a lot of background on detoxification, but uh, you know, my.
Speaker:Host, co-host.
Speaker:How are we going to call him?
Speaker:Dr. Paul Savage.
Speaker:I know he's been on your show, so, um, you guys have a little, had some exchange.
Speaker:How, how has that gone?
Speaker:Because I know you guys both approach detoxification and this
Speaker:whole thing of toxins in similar ways, but different approaches, you
Speaker:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker:I kind of do the long slow road to China approach and he just rips everything
Speaker:out with the, the plasma exchange.
Speaker:I'm like, let's do this real slow and agonizing.
Speaker:Uh, but, you know, not everyone can afford the, the plasma exchange, you know, so.
Speaker:You know, but there's a lot of things we can talk about today that you can
Speaker:do to, to facilitate detoxification.
Speaker:Your own body's, your body's natural ability to detox.
Speaker:And I've been talking about this for 15 years and, uh, really still
Speaker:very passionate about the subject.
Speaker:I, I love that there's so many more.
Speaker:People talking about this because it's super important.
Speaker:'cause, you know, toxins are largely, they're, you know, pretty much almost
Speaker:a hundred percent missed by your conventional doctors and underlying
Speaker:root cause of your symptoms.
Speaker:And so I really am passionate about helping people connect the dots between,
Speaker:uh, you know, toxicity and their symptoms and their health and, and how to detox.
Speaker:what got you into this whole thing?
Speaker:15 what?
Speaker:15 years ago you said about that?
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:I'm, I'm just like a lot of people.
Speaker:I was on my health journey, you know, I just had a baby and was really
Speaker:struggling with, uh, my weight with anger, which I never had had before.
Speaker:I mean, I'm talking rage and, uh,
Speaker:After having your, your, your first one?
Speaker:Yeah, and it was just, uh, I just couldn't lose weight.
Speaker:I wasn't sleeping, and this is like a year after.
Speaker:It wasn't, you know, I was super brain fogged and just something was wrong, and
Speaker:so I went to my functional medical doctor.
Speaker:I'm like, just.
Speaker:Test everything, figure out what is wrong with me.
Speaker:And, um, and they, and uh, they said, oh, all my hormone levels are
Speaker:the level of a menopausal woman.
Speaker:I was 37 at the time and I'm 52 today.
Speaker:Um, but I just, uh, I didn't wanna do the hormones at that time.
Speaker:I just thought, well, isn't that.
Speaker:You know, isn't that for menopausal women?
Speaker:I mean, I'm 37 and I'm very healthy or so I thought, and so I
Speaker:just decided to go on Dr. Google.
Speaker:You know what causes low hormones?
Speaker:And I found a website that said that heavy metals and and toxins
Speaker:can contribute to low hormones.
Speaker:And I thought, wow, I'd never really.
Speaker:Thought about that.
Speaker:And, uh, but I read about, you know, you know, lead being a
Speaker:problem and Mercury being a problem.
Speaker:But I didn't think it applied to me because I was so healthy and I'd lived,
Speaker:I lived such a healthy lifestyle.
Speaker:I ate all organic food, blah, blah, blah.
Speaker:Um, so, um, I just started a detox program based on a hair mineral analysis.
Speaker:And I just started feeling a lot better, taking tons and tons of minerals.
Speaker:That was part of the program, and really it just began from there.
Speaker:I started doing coffee enemas, infrared saunas and all that on a regular basis
Speaker:and just got so passionate about it.
Speaker:I started, uh, my website helping educate other people about
Speaker:toxins and helping to make those connections as to, to their symptoms
Speaker:the hair analysis, I'm curious about that.
Speaker:'cause we've not talked about that in this show yet, and I
Speaker:want to selfishly know about it.
Speaker:So why that?
Speaker:What did it, yeah, what did it bring out for you?
Speaker:Yeah, well I found out that I had a really high mercury, 'cause I
Speaker:was a sushi addict most of my life.
Speaker:And I had really high arsenic.
Speaker:'cause I used to think El Poeo Loco was health food.
Speaker:And actually, you know, conventional chickens full of arsenic.
Speaker:There's.
Speaker:Uh, arsenic in the chicken feed and the eggs.
Speaker:And I also, uh, later test I found I had a lot of caesium, thallium, uranium,
Speaker:and uh, I had other metal, I had nickel as well that's found in the partially
Speaker:hydrogenated oils and all the fast food and um, you know, processed foods.
Speaker:And so I was really surprised, uh, by that and just, you know,
Speaker:started on a detox protocol.
Speaker:But, you know, I like the heroin analysis 'cause it's.
Speaker:It's really easy to do.
Speaker:It's cheap and it, it gives you like a three month average of what your body's
Speaker:excreting into the hair to eliminate it.
Speaker:And so, but urine is very good as well.
Speaker:But you know, there's different metals come out in different ways
Speaker:in the body, some urine, some.
Speaker:Uh, metals come out in the urine, some come out in the hair, um,
Speaker:and we also see minerals in the hair mineral analysis as well.
Speaker:But it has to be read properly.
Speaker:Many times people have no metals coming out because their body doesn't have
Speaker:the energy or the resources to detox.
Speaker:So some doctors can claim it's not accurate bec but you have
Speaker:to just know how to read it.
Speaker:And, and there's a lot of research and human analysis is the.
Speaker:The mass spectrometry used to look at, the heavy metals is used by the sciences.
Speaker:Uh, many, many sciences around the world use this type of, uh,
Speaker:the mass spectrometry that's, that's behind the hair and mineral
Speaker:analysis to look at heavy metals.
Speaker:So it's very valid.
Speaker:But, um, you know, like the tests that you guys do at MD Life.
Speaker:Span is very comprehensive.
Speaker:And so that's not the typical urine test.
Speaker:The one that you guys do, I've done, I did that test with you guys where
Speaker:you're testing 200 different things.
Speaker:That's a whole other, uh, that was the first time I'd actually seen that test, so
Speaker:that's gonna be incredibly comprehensive.
Speaker:But, you know, we know that people, everybody has chemicals, you know, it's
Speaker:just, that's, people have 500 chemicals on average, so that's unavoidable.
Speaker:But you know what the, the, heres is a very.
Speaker:You know, accurate and inexpensive tests.
Speaker:To do that, you can base a kind of more of a, a customized detox protocol around
Speaker:Nice.
Speaker:Okay.
Speaker:That's, I mean, that's great to know because I know that it was
Speaker:actually what, a few episodes ago, Dr. Savage and I broke down.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:Essentially all the different types of tests and then even broke down into
Speaker:what my results looked like, which were frightening, but I'm sure everybody's are
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:It's terrifying.
Speaker:You're like, I'm
Speaker:Ugh.
Speaker:I know.
Speaker:Well, where, so you, you can talk about yourself or maybe even other folks you
Speaker:work with, but after someone gets their, their, their test back or the results
Speaker:and they're interpreted correctly, like what are typically the next steps
Speaker:that you would suggest someone take?
Speaker:so usually universally minerals, so a lot of people supplement with
Speaker:all kinds of different things.
Speaker:The focus needs to be minerals, because minerals push out and
Speaker:displace heavy metals in the body.
Speaker:They can do the same jobs.
Speaker:Cadmium can do the same job as zinc.
Speaker:Thallium can do the same job as potassium.
Speaker:Cesium can do the same job as potassium, and so.
Speaker:Uh, so when you're taking lots of minerals, that's gonna be a deep, deep
Speaker:detox that you cannot do any other way.
Speaker:You cannot do chelation or the plasma exchange therapy and things like that
Speaker:for you on a deep, deep, deep level.
Speaker:When you flood your body with minerals in the right forms, you're gonna do a
Speaker:deep, deep detox and so that, and it can take a year to replete minerals.
Speaker:So this is not something where you are just, uh, you know, doing
Speaker:it for 30 days or something.
Speaker:You have to take a lot of magnesium, five times your body
Speaker:weight and milligrams per day.
Speaker:That's a lot.
Speaker:So if you weigh 200 pounds, you need a thousand milligrams a day
Speaker:I guess break that down.
Speaker:Like how would that, what kind of magnesium?
Speaker:Like in what form?
Speaker:I guess How, how would that work?
Speaker:Yeah, I take a lot of different forms.
Speaker:I always have bottles around everywhere 'cause I'm, I'm taking it all the time,
Speaker:but I take magnesium three and eight.
Speaker:Or magnesium theon eight, however you wanna pronounce that.
Speaker:I take magnesium glycinate.
Speaker:Um, I take ionic magnesium from, uh, mother earth minerals, which is amazing.
Speaker:Also frequency based minerals.
Speaker:And I also take, uh, magnesium malate, ' cause different forms,
Speaker:do different things in the body.
Speaker:And so, so I, you know, rotate all of those.
Speaker:And then, um, you know, zinc is really important as well that will
Speaker:push out and displace mercury, um, and other metals as well.
Speaker:And then I also make sure I take potassium again.
Speaker:I love the, the mother earth minerals, potassium.
Speaker:You can get that on Amazon.
Speaker:And I also, uh, really important to take selenium because you need that
Speaker:to make thyroid hormones, uh, almost.
Speaker:Everyone I test is deficient in selenium, so you need that to
Speaker:push out mercury as well, but more importantly, to make thyroid hormones.
Speaker:And then also super important, it just trace minerals.
Speaker:So I put sea salt in all of my water, very heavily salt my food, give you
Speaker:all those trace minerals that you need.
Speaker:So, um, you know, high blood pressure's not caused by salt.
Speaker:It's caused caused by high blood sugar.
Speaker:Sugar is the problem.
Speaker:Um, so you can eat salt with abandoned 'cause we're all
Speaker:super deficient in minerals.
Speaker:I also drink sea water.
Speaker:I drink, uh, Quinton, which is basically, you know, purified sea water.
Speaker:Really?
Speaker:I've never heard of that.
Speaker:Yeah, so that's super concentrated minerals.
Speaker:Um, yeah, but you can just, the, the cheapest way to go about it's
Speaker:just, uh, any kind of sea salt.
Speaker:Not a white sea salt.
Speaker:No, not bleached sea salt.
Speaker:We want just a regular natural sea salt that hasn't been bleached and
Speaker:you just, you know, you can make a super concentrated solution.
Speaker:Or just put, maybe I've put maybe an eighth of a teaspoon in a liter of water.
Speaker:And so, and that's gonna help you retain the water.
Speaker:It's going to make you more hydrated.
Speaker:As well.
Speaker:Are there any, uh, and I'm blanking on, I'm blanking on the type I have
Speaker:on my counter out there, but like, you know, the electrolyte supplements
Speaker:you can essentially scoop into it.
Speaker:Like, are there any approved ones?
Speaker:I know there's a lot, a lot of those that are filled with sugars and all that
Speaker:I think they're kind of a waste of money, honestly, because, you know, you
Speaker:can just drink coconut water and you'll get the, a lot of those minerals, uh,
Speaker:the electrolytes in their natural form.
Speaker:Um, but you know, a lot of those only have sodium and potassium and magnesium.
Speaker:Maybe.
Speaker:I'm not really impressed by that.
Speaker:I want a hundred minerals.
Speaker:And so that's why I put sea salt in my water.
Speaker:Um, you can also, you know, make electrolyte water by just squeezing a
Speaker:lime or a lemon in your water, getting tons of potassium and sodium that way.
Speaker:And then just add sea salt.
Speaker:And that's just a thousand times better and way cheaper than paying 30 bucks
Speaker:for 30 days of electrolyte water,
Speaker:It's so true.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:Like those things only they are making a killing
Speaker:They're making a killing.
Speaker:It's sea salt, you know, mother Nature has the answer and I,
Speaker:I got another mineral calcium.
Speaker:Super important that's gonna push out and displace lead, which we all of us have.
Speaker:So calcium is super important as well.
Speaker:So what you've been saying and that, that's a great list
Speaker:of material, uh, minerals.
Speaker:What?
Speaker:Magnesium of all sorts.
Speaker:Zinc, potassium, selenium, trace minerals, and calcium.
Speaker:I think I got 'em all.
Speaker:Uh, and you, you're saying those push out the metals, right?
Speaker:Uh, and I'm sure other toxins as well, I'm assuming, is that along like the,
Speaker:the basically the pathways, right?
Speaker:Like the detox pathways that we naturally have in our bodies.
Speaker:Yes, because minerals and heavy metals occupy the same enzyme
Speaker:binding sites in the body.
Speaker:So if you don't have enough zinc, say you.
Speaker:Unfortunately took the American medical Association's, you know, bogus
Speaker:recommendation to stop eating red meat.
Speaker:Um, then you're gonna be probably zinc deficient, and then your
Speaker:body's gonna be forced to hold onto cadmium to repair your arteries.
Speaker:And cadmium is very weak and brittle and will build weak, brittle, or
Speaker:arteries, which you don't want.
Speaker:You want zinc to rebuild your arteries.
Speaker:So that's just one example.
Speaker:on that topic of things that we probably have followed without thinking because
Speaker:it's been recommended, are there any like, just glaringly just glaring
Speaker:things that you, you tell your patients or, or the folks that work with you,
Speaker:like, Hey, um, how about try doing this instead of this thing you've probably
Speaker:done for, you know, 30, 40 years?
Speaker:Yeah, it definitely is.
Speaker:The whole, avoiding sunlight is just preposterous.
Speaker:Um, I fortunately never could listen to that 'cause I always
Speaker:lived in sun drenched areas.
Speaker:So even if you try to avoid the sun, you can't.
Speaker:Um, so, uh, you need sunlight, uh, to prevent cancer.
Speaker:You know you have to have sunlight to make vitamin D.
Speaker:No vitamin D equals cancer.
Speaker:Period.
Speaker:Um, so you also needed to charge up your bi bio photons, which are charge up
Speaker:your mitochondria, uh, to make energy.
Speaker:You need, uh, you release all these different, um, immune system components
Speaker:that kill off all kinds of bacteria and fungus and things in your body
Speaker:just by being exposed to sunlight.
Speaker:Hospitals used to have beds on the roof.
Speaker:Wow.
Speaker:and yeah, back in the day when things made sense, um, to, to get patients sunlight.
Speaker:So we need sunlight every single day, so that's a total scam.
Speaker:Um, and so the whole avoiding salt, um, you know, I, I battle with my mother for
Speaker:years about how to, how to control your, your blood pressure without medication.
Speaker:And so the, it's interesting how the high blood pressure, the diuretics.
Speaker:Are actually salt.
Speaker:So they tell you not to take eat salt, but yet they wanna
Speaker:prescribe you a prescription salt.
Speaker:And if you have a high blood pressure issue or it's too high, the first
Speaker:thing they do is give you a 9,000 milligram bag of saline salt.
Speaker:Yep.
Speaker:And if you're, and if you're having a heart attack or salt.
Speaker:E everyone in the hospital salt because everyone is deficient in salt.
Speaker:So why don't you just avoid all of that and just eat salt
Speaker:because your body needs it.
Speaker:Your body doesn't work.
Speaker:Minerals are the spark plugs of the body.
Speaker:Your body doesn't work without minerals.
Speaker:Your detoxification pathways don't work without minerals, especially magnesium.
Speaker:Um, so all you gotta do the name of the game when you're taking supplements
Speaker:and you're buying supplements don't need antioxidants necessarily.
Speaker:You focus on the basics, your body won't work without minerals properly.
Speaker:So I, I plead with people to focus on that and you're gonna solve
Speaker:a whole lot of other problems.
Speaker:You know, don't blame salt for what sugar caused.
Speaker:The, the bigger issue is people eating too much sugar and carbohydrates,
Speaker:and when your blood sugar goes up, so does your, your blood pressure.
Speaker:As well.
Speaker:So does your cortisol, so does your stress and the, the sugar is really
Speaker:what's causing most people's health issues that are high cholesterol and all the
Speaker:other, the, the, all the other things.
Speaker:But, you know, toxins are really a big underlying root cause of all these
Speaker:body systems and the, the diabetes and all these things going haywire as
Speaker:well
Speaker:well that's a, just adds salt y'all because it makes your food taste better
Speaker:yeah.
Speaker:It tastes better anyways.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:I love salt, so this is all great news.
Speaker:Um, so I'm sure I'm still deficient like everyone else though.
Speaker:Um.
Speaker:What other, I'm just thinking of like, what other avoidance things do you like?
Speaker:Uh, you know, maybe in terms of toxins, you know, are there things that you just
Speaker:know are just laden with toxins that you think, okay, absolutely avoid those.
Speaker:Maybe they're just so common in our households, maybe talking diets,
Speaker:but also maybe even lifestyle around what we're always in.
Speaker:Yeah, I mean, for me, a, a big thing is fragrance and the fragrances
Speaker:that are in the air fresheners, the candles, the perfumes.
Speaker:In the clothes, in the, um, the cosmetics, in the laundry
Speaker:detergents and all that stuff.
Speaker:And those are full of phthalates.
Speaker:So phthalates keep the scent and the color in your sheets, in your hair, in your
Speaker:clothes, in your underwear, unfortunately.
Speaker:And so all of those are gonna destroy your hormones, your fertility.
Speaker:And so they're really one of the most insidious, uh.
Speaker:You know, toxins out there.
Speaker:So you, you've really gotta make sure you get lawn detergent and
Speaker:use, you know, essential oils if you wanna scent the ones you buy.
Speaker:And, you know, they're organic so they're, you know, they're not synthetic.
Speaker:And, um, and just avoid perfumes like the plague.
Speaker:You know, they're really like, you know, smoke, secondhand smoke.
Speaker:Yeah, no, it seems that way.
Speaker:And it's like essential oils.
Speaker:They're literally, they're packed with so much scent, so just get a bitt
Speaker:of those, you know, the good ones.
Speaker:Um, no, that's, that's great because I mean, Dr. Savage said
Speaker:what inside your house just alone.
Speaker:I think it's something like five thou or 500 times more toxic inside just because
Speaker:of just the sheer amount of stuff around
Speaker:Yeah, I have air filters in every room.
Speaker:I have Jasper air filters and they're unbelievable and so that,
Speaker:and they actually improve your sleep.
Speaker:They did a study with Aura Rings and found that filtering
Speaker:your air improves your sleep.
Speaker:Which is really interesting 'cause it's just another stressor
Speaker:your body's not dealing with,
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:I have a great air filter right in mine too.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:Bedroom.
Speaker:It's right next to me and I love it.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:I think the other toxin is seed oils.
Speaker:I think, uh, industrial seed oils that everything is cooked in and
Speaker:all the restaurants, all the fast food or everything's fried in it.
Speaker:Um, all that's.
Speaker:Extremely toxic to your system as well, not only for the toxins in it,
Speaker:but just disrupts your, your cell membranes and gets inserted into your
Speaker:brain instead of healthy fats and takes two years to do that oil exchange.
Speaker:Uh, once you stop eating seed oils, which is really impossible unless
Speaker:you eat all your food at home.
Speaker:Um, those seed oils really do, uh, you know, uh.
Speaker:A, a, a bad number on your metabolism, on your brain health.
Speaker:Uh, your, they, they infiltrate into your cell membrane so they, your cell's.
Speaker:Metabolism doesn't work as well for getting toxins out and nutrients in.
Speaker:And, um, the seed oils are really, really insidious and are, you
Speaker:know, really contribute a lot to many different health conditions.
Speaker:What's the, I think you kinda led to it, but like what is the process for
Speaker:those of us who, I mean, it's everyone.
Speaker:Anyone like eating out, like you said, but even most what salad dressings and
Speaker:all this stuff that we buy, probably without thinking have seed oils in there.
Speaker:Like what, what do we do about that
Speaker:You know, if you go to a restaurant, if you have a salad dressing, just
Speaker:ask for olive oil and vinegar.
Speaker:You know, that's, that's the bring your own salad dressing.
Speaker:It just kind of defeats the purpose of eating out.
Speaker:Um, but yeah, it's just about being really vigilant.
Speaker:There's a really good app called Seed Oil Scout, and they have all the different
Speaker:restaurants that don't use seed oils.
Speaker:And, you know, and there's places like Buffalo Wild Bills, like if you like
Speaker:chicken wings and boneless chicken wings, they fry in, uh, tallow.
Speaker:And so there's a lot more restaurants following this trend to, to
Speaker:eliminate seed oils from their menus.
Speaker:And so, yeah.
Speaker:Um, so there's, there's workarounds.
Speaker:It's, you still don't, shouldn't be eating fried food, but it's better
Speaker:to be fried in tallow than the, you know, the polyunsaturated seed oils.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:Oh my gosh.
Speaker:I don't think I've ever heard of a restaurant frying in tallow, but when
Speaker:I find that restaurant, at least here in San Diego, I'm gonna be living
Speaker:there and recommending it everywhere.
Speaker:I'm curious on like, so therapeutic plasma exchange.
Speaker:'cause like we talked about how.
Speaker:Dr. Savage, it's kind of funny, like the way you put it is like,
Speaker:he just goes straightforward and like pulls his toxins out.
Speaker:You, you kind of, you know, take the long road, but you know, there's, there's,
Speaker:there's approaches to everything.
Speaker:I guess.
Speaker:Do you see them playing together and, you know, the, those two procedures, I
Speaker:guess, like how do you think about that?
Speaker:even if you do plasma exchange therapy, you still have to take care of your body.
Speaker:I. So you still have to take minerals.
Speaker:You still have to take care of your liver.
Speaker:You still want to do detox protocols on a regular basis, like maybe infrared sauna,
Speaker:copy is liver flushes, things like that.
Speaker:I love ionic foot baths as well.
Speaker:If you have the right one, most of 'em are garbage, but if you
Speaker:have the right brand, then those
Speaker:brand you recommend?
Speaker:yeah, I like the health in med.
Speaker:Dot com or the Ionic cleanse by a major difference.com.
Speaker:So those are two really good ones.
Speaker:Um, yeah.
Speaker:And so you still need to take care of yourself, um, because
Speaker:that's, that's gonna go a long way towards improving your health.
Speaker:You know, you can't just once a month do plasma exchange, you know,
Speaker:but, but I think it's, it's great 'cause, you know, it's, it's cost
Speaker:can be cost prohibitive for most people, but if you're very, very ill.
Speaker:Um, or you just, you know, you feel like your health's on a bad
Speaker:trajectory and you just want to get everything outta your body.
Speaker:You can do that with plasma exchange therapy and you can
Speaker:recover very, very quickly.
Speaker:'cause we know that most of people's health issues, the, the dementia,
Speaker:the Parkinson's, the diabetes, the heart disease, heart attacks and
Speaker:all that stuff is caused by toxins.
Speaker:Primarily.
Speaker:I mean, it's estimated that 17% of all cause mortality is caused by lead.
Speaker:Geez.
Speaker:17.
Speaker:of
Speaker:one third of fetal heart attacks is caused by lead.
Speaker:That's just one metal.
Speaker:And so add to that, all the other metals and thousands of toxins, I mean,
Speaker:it's no wonder we, we are so sick.
Speaker:Um, so with plasma exchange therapy, you're able to go in and
Speaker:just maybe three to five sessions get rid of most of that stuff.
Speaker:And then you can see kind of what symptoms are left over
Speaker:that you, you need to address,
Speaker:No, that's, that's perfect.
Speaker:And that's how there's some other studies, uh, was it Dr. Ed Lee?
Speaker:He's, uh, one of the founding members of, um, MD Lifespan where, yeah, you clean
Speaker:the blood, but then, then you're kind of cleaning the slate for all the other
Speaker:stuff that you really should be adding on or continuing to do for your body.
Speaker:yeah, you wanna maintain your clean, healthy body af after doing that.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:Yeah, well, talk to me about liver health because you've mentioned it a few times.
Speaker:Um, what do we gotta know about that?
Speaker:And then also what do you do to make sure that it's on the up and up?
Speaker:Yes.
Speaker:Well, when you look at the stats, one in four people in the US have non-alcoholic
Speaker:fatty liver disease, so about a hundred million people in the US alone.
Speaker:Have non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
Speaker:So if you're overweight, you probably have some measure, uh, or level of
Speaker:non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
Speaker:'cause if you're fat, so is your liver okay?
Speaker:If you're diabetic or pre-diabetic, you have fatty liver, uh, and if you
Speaker:drink alcohol on a regular basis.
Speaker:Probably have fatty liver, so, you know, so we need to, uh, wanna take care of
Speaker:your liver, reduce carbohydrates not come, you don't have to eliminate them
Speaker:completely, but, and I have a, you know, I always have a continuous glucose
Speaker:monitor on, um, and it's, you can get it from Steelo or it's about, you know, 40
Speaker:bucks, 45 bucks a month, uh, to do that.
Speaker:No, I'm sorry, it's $90 a month.
Speaker:And so you can con connect it to an app and.
Speaker:Check your glucose, see what foods are bothering you.
Speaker:See if you're, you keep waking up all night, you know, every night
Speaker:because your blood sugar's too high.
Speaker:And so it's really important to get a handle on that and, and
Speaker:then act on that information.
Speaker:You know, you can, it's easier to.
Speaker:You know, to track things and, and make changes based on that data.
Speaker:And so, uh, so chances are your liver is toast, okay?
Speaker:Chances are your liver's not doing so good.
Speaker:You're choking down seed oils all the time, and alcohol and too
Speaker:much sugar and blah, blah, blah.
Speaker:Um, so how to care for your liver.
Speaker:Liver supportive foods, the top ones are egg yolks.
Speaker:Interestingly enough, it's got choline in it.
Speaker:You want pastured egg yolks.
Speaker:You don't want some garbage, 2 99 eggs.
Speaker:Uh, you need to have pastured organic eggs.
Speaker:Um, so you have that nutrition in them.
Speaker:You want, uh, broccoli sprouts or amazing or broccoli sprout powder.
Speaker:Um, you want, uh, to take, um, garlic and onions and then Christopher's vegetables.
Speaker:So those are great for, for the, and Ginger as well.
Speaker:So those are great.
Speaker:I, I drink ginger kombucha, put ginger and stir fries and things like that.
Speaker:So those are.
Speaker:Liver supportive foods.
Speaker:And then coffee enemas are also amazing though.
Speaker:People just love coffee enemas.
Speaker:They're just, you know, can't wait to do those, especially you guys.
Speaker:Um, but they're really a great way to kind of mechanically kind of ring out your
Speaker:liver like a sponge and get, you know, irritated so that it makes glutathione.
Speaker:Your body's master antioxidant and it, um, it, and it just, it really helps
Speaker:to purge the liver so the liver can kind of, it helps it to do its job
Speaker:better and you feel amazing afterwards.
Speaker:Um, so maybe not during, but you feel fantastic afterwards.
Speaker:You feel like a million bucks.
Speaker:And so, really important for people whose livers are struggling
Speaker:and that liver flushes, uh.
Speaker:Maybe once or twice a year to get rid of debris in the liver,
Speaker:stones in liver gallstones as well.
Speaker:And, uh, so yeah, so I, I love the, I, I like zen cleanse.
Speaker:They have a zen cleanse.com.
Speaker:They have an amazing, um, enzymatic liver flush that's gonna be more
Speaker:effective than like a typical like Andreas Maritz liver flush.
Speaker:You can find out the formula online.
Speaker:I've got, I have a liver flush on my website as well, on myers
Speaker:detox.com, but the, I really like the, the, the Zen cleanse liver flush.
Speaker:I do that on a regular basis.
Speaker:Got it.
Speaker:Yeah, I was, I was wondering, I was like, okay.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:I'm like, I don't know enough about any of this stuff, so.
Speaker:I, I love my liver.
Speaker:'cause, you know, yeah.
Speaker:It's just, um, it's just unfortunate a lot of people really don't realize how
Speaker:much their health suffers because they just don't realize what they're doing
Speaker:to their liver or how to care for it.
Speaker:So I, I really focus a lot on that.
Speaker:Are there any, uh, I'm thinking of like symptoms, some obvious symptoms
Speaker:maybe on the focused on liver.
Speaker:Like just like, Hey, eh, you probably should look it out
Speaker:because you're feeling this way.
Speaker:And maybe just other symptoms in general of pretty common things, toxin related
Speaker:that you're, that we've talked about.
Speaker:It's tough 'cause these symptoms can be from anything.
Speaker:I mean, you can have, uh, frequent nausea, you get nauseated pretty easily.
Speaker:Uh, brain fog.
Speaker:Um, hormonal issues, thyroid issues because your, your liver metabolizes all
Speaker:the different hormones and, uh, converts hormones like your thyroid hormones or
Speaker:the active form of the thyroid hormone.
Speaker:So if you've got thyroid issues, if you've got hormonal issues, hormonal imbalance
Speaker:issues, especially estrogen, probably liver issues, um, if you have, you know,
Speaker:troubled with fats, you eat a big fatty meal, you're trying keto and you just.
Speaker:Feel horrible after you get a big fatty meal or nauseous sign your liver's not
Speaker:making enough bile to digest those fats.
Speaker:Um, if you've got blood sugar issues, if you're diabetic, pre-diabetic,
Speaker:you've got liver issues as well.
Speaker:So there's, there's a lot of symptoms, but those are probably the most common.
Speaker:Yeah, those are pretty big ones, I would say.
Speaker:And I, I'm thinking of, uh, other, are there other symptoms that you see
Speaker:that are just, I mean, you said like brain fog, that's a pretty common one.
Speaker:Yeah, I'd say.
Speaker:Uh, but any others where it'd be like a trigger to you be like, whoa, you should
Speaker:probably really like, start thinking about overall just detoxing, you know,
Speaker:do the, do the hair, sample, all that.
Speaker:You know, really fatigue is a big one.
Speaker:I mean, everyone wants more energy.
Speaker:A lot of us feel tired, but you know, the mitochondria are not
Speaker:just energy producers in our body.
Speaker:They're also environmental sensors.
Speaker:So if you have, many toxins in your body, if you have infections
Speaker:in your body, parasites and things like that, or whatever's going on
Speaker:with you, the mitochondria, it's uh, called the cell danger response.
Speaker:It'll power down the mitochondria.
Speaker:It will reduce energy production to not feed pathogens, uh,
Speaker:just for, for various reasons.
Speaker:Um, if you have too many toxins in your body.
Speaker:And so fatigue is a very common sign of.
Speaker:Uh, toxicity, but also a lot, like almost any type of chemical or metal
Speaker:can get into that Krebs cycle that's going on inside the mitochondria
Speaker:to make your energy or your ETP and those toxins get in and they break it.
Speaker:So they, they interfere in the energy production and they, the toxins
Speaker:also poison enzymes that transport nutrients into your mitochondria.
Speaker:So they're screwing up this whole system in several different ways.
Speaker:So fatigue is probably one of the, the first signs that you, and it's
Speaker:a, and your body is cry for help.
Speaker:It's saying, Hey, you know, something's wrong here and you
Speaker:need to pay attention to it.
Speaker:And, and so a lot of people just kind of think, oh, I'm just getting older
Speaker:and not, that's a bunch of nonsense.
Speaker:'cause there's a lot of hunter gatherers out there in their sixties
Speaker:and seventies still hunting, don't have cancer, don't have heart disease, don't
Speaker:have diabetes, et cetera, et cetera.
Speaker:They're still functioning at peak performance because
Speaker:they don't have these toxins.
Speaker:They're not exposed to them and they have a healthy diet a, a natural.
Speaker:Diet, we've evolved over millions of years to eat, so that's not you.
Speaker:Okay?
Speaker:Unfortunately, no matter how keto and paleo you are, so, you know, so
Speaker:all these toxins are breaking down.
Speaker:Um, our ability to regulate blood sugar for our cognition are bringing to work
Speaker:and our, our energy production as well.
Speaker:Got it.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:I mean, geez.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:If you think about like folks like that who are living in the wild or at
Speaker:least away from all the, I don't know.
Speaker:I would say a lot of the western ways of living is just in offices or not
Speaker:outside in the sun, not getting air
Speaker:food, I mean.
Speaker:great.
Speaker:I know it's, I mean like, and I hate to end it this way, but I'm like, is
Speaker:there, like what's, what's, what's there to look forward to in terms of like,
Speaker:I guess when you look into the future, I don't know, five years or something.
Speaker:Obviously we're living in a super toxic world, but at the same time it's
Speaker:being a lot more talked about now.
Speaker:Like do you see advancements or, or things that on the horizon that you're
Speaker:looking forward to or just things you're kind of keeping your eye on that we can
Speaker:Yeah, I mean, you know, for detoxification, I mean,
Speaker:there's definitely conventional detoxification I've talked about, but.
Speaker:I actually do a lot of bioenergetic detoxification where I have
Speaker:different types of software.
Speaker:Here I have a spooky two rife.
Speaker:Um, you can do zito, uh, I do nest health.
Speaker:Um, you can do Dr. Lee Cowden's, um, laser detox where you scan your
Speaker:body for all the different toxins and you can detox bio energetically.
Speaker:So it's almost like a med bed concept where, uh, you're, 'cause everything
Speaker:has a frequency that can be measured.
Speaker:So you can do different types of very sophisticated software like Zito or or
Speaker:other ones that have been around for decades, over 30 years, and you can
Speaker:detect the frequency of the toxins.
Speaker:And then you can also remove them with frequencies.
Speaker:And so I run a frequency, I run a program on my spooky two rife,
Speaker:where it's called detox maintenance.
Speaker:And so it just, it optimizes your, your detox organs to
Speaker:facilitate removal of toxins.
Speaker:So it's optimizing those.
Speaker:And I, there's another program called Just Detox.
Speaker:It's an 11 day detox where it cleanses your blood, it cleanses
Speaker:your lymphatics, cleanses your liver, does a parasite cleanse, a
Speaker:metal cleanse, the chemical cleanse.
Speaker:And so it's doing that bio energetically.
Speaker:And so that's really where things are gonna be going to the future.
Speaker:And what I think is super exciting, and I've been using my spooky
Speaker:too for probably six years now.
Speaker:And, and I got it mainly to, 'cause you can kill any
Speaker:parasite, any fungus, any virus.
Speaker:It, it has 65,000 programs in it.
Speaker:And so you do a scan and it's always accurate.
Speaker:It always picks up exactly what's going on with me.
Speaker:It's really crazy.
Speaker:It's spooky.
Speaker:Um.
Speaker:It's spooky.
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:And the name is very fitting.
Speaker:And so, and they're only like three grand.
Speaker:I mean, it's re pretty minimal investment and there's a big community around it.
Speaker:And so my, my 78-year-old mother uses one.
Speaker:She, I was talking to her today and she was asking me questions about it.
Speaker:Um, so she uses one, my brother has one.
Speaker:He uses it in his clinic, um, in Northern Texas.
Speaker:And so yeah, we're kind of a spooky family
Speaker:and, uh, but yeah, but they have, there's about a hundred thousand users around the
Speaker:world that use this and it's just, uh, it's really, really amazing technology.
Speaker:And so the med beds are here already, so there's, for me, the, what I mainly
Speaker:do for my health is bioenergetic.
Speaker:Yeah, doing different scans and, and sending frequencies to my body
Speaker:to fix whatever's going on with me.
Speaker:And so that's the future of medicine and
Speaker:Yeah, I think it's, that's, that's huge and that's a whole nother thing.
Speaker:I'll have to do some research.
Speaker:Maybe we'll
Speaker:that Yeah.
Speaker:That's a whole
Speaker:to Exactly.
Speaker:I'm like, you just opened up a whole nother thread there, Wendy.
Speaker:Well, um, definitely go check out what, what Wendy's up to,
Speaker:you know, myers detox.com.
Speaker:That's what, what you can find the, the podcast.
Speaker:A lot of the resources.
Speaker:Anything else specific that people should go check out there
Speaker:at the website or anywhere else?
Speaker:Yeah, you know, I have a podcast about detox.
Speaker:I've done for 12 years now, have 600 episodes.
Speaker:I don't really know how that happened.
Speaker:Um, but yeah, so that's the Myers Detox Podcast.
Speaker:You can find that anywhere and on social media at Myers Detox, everywhere.
Speaker:Cool.
Speaker:Well, Wendy, appreciate you so much and I learned a ton.
Speaker:Got a lot of things research now myself, so we'll hopefully do
Speaker:it again pretty soon and we'll
Speaker:Yeah.
Speaker:Well
Speaker:thanks for having me.
Speaker:the other angle.
Speaker:All right, thanks.
