Today we talk about branding and leadership with Carlos Williams, the founder of DBC, a creative agency that leverages data and equity to connect brands with their audiences. Carlos shares his unique perspective on leadership influenced by historical city-states.
We started the conversation going way back to his experiences in elementary school, where he was always the smartest kid in the class, and how he had to mature and adapt as he went through high school and college, his experiences working as a designer for a large consulting firm and then using that as a springboard to launch his own company.
We also havea very candid conversation of what it means to be a minority owned business, and some of the struggles that black owned businesses face vs. other businesses. Finally, he shares why he decided to keep his company a fully remote company, and what are some of the advantages that come from that structure.
