Shownotes

For the first time in 15 years, former Australian cricketer Andrew “Digger” Hilditch opens up about his career as a player, administrator and his controversial stint as Cricket Australia’s chairman of selectors.

Hilditch shares the back story to his powder-keg dismissal for handled the ball against Pakistan in 1979.

And speaks about his 18 years as a national cricket selector, which featured one of Australia’s most successful on-field eras in history, but also a devastating home Ashes loss in 2010/11.

And he addresses with incredible class the extraordinary media scrutiny placed on him and his family as Australia transitioned out of the Steve Waugh era.

His insight into the current state Australian cricket is as sharp as ever.

This is Andrew Hilditch as you’ve never heard him before. And may never hear again.
