Have you ever wondered why we seem to have giant swings in life? It often feels like things are either going really well or they're out of control!

Balancing all our roles as men can be difficult. Burnout and escapism are the common issues men deal with when life is out of control. The key to long-term success is bringing the key areas of our life into alignment. This helps us have the strength and endurance we need for all the things life throws at us.

There are 4 key areas every man must keep in alignment: Mental, Physical, Emotional, and Spiritual. Keeping these in balance will help us get ahead and quit playing the forever game of catch-up.

Mental Priorities

  • Mental priorities are the ways we think and how we are keeping our minds fresh and growing
  • Our minds are important and we have the responsibility of keeping them fresh and growing
  • This means engaging with new thoughts and ideas
  • Engaging our minds is done in different ways based on us as men
  • The importance of variety
  • Control your decisions
  • We can keep our minds alert and fresh
  • It takes doing things intentionally and working our brain like a muscle

Physical Priorities

  • We live in our bodies and it is the only one we have
  • We take care of ourselves as men so we have the most energy and ability for our everyday life
  • Life takes energy and when we are extremely out of shape we can't bring all of ourselves to life
  • Healthy Eating and Exercise
  • The reality of our physical side starts with leadership
  • We must lead ourselves

Emotional Priorities

  • Men are naturally passionate
  • Passions are something to embrace and use as a force of strength
  • Men love being passionate because men have powerful emotions
  • We want to channel those emotions into areas that empower our lives as men
  • The problem is that many men were never shown what to do with their emotions
  • Many men live their whole lives based on emotional wounds from when they were young
  • We should grow our emotions like our muscles

Spiritual Priorities

  • The secularization of our society has not helped us as men
  • We are different from animals because we were created as spiritual creatures
  • God created us to have a spiritual connection
  • Men across the world have abandoned their spirituality for the practical
  • We were designed to be spiritual leaders
  • Being spiritual doesn't mean not being manly
  • Without a connection to the God of the Bible, we won't be able to fully engage our design as men
