Linda Orsini:Hello and welcome to a call for love. I believe the most powerful gift you can offer yourself is to give and receive love more freely. I'm your host Linda Orsini meditation guidance spiritual coach. Everyone has the desire to be seen, heard, respected, and love. The journey to becoming more connected to your greater purpose lies within the ability to live from the deep source of love within you. Let's begin.
Linda Orsini:Welcome to today's episode of A call for love. I'm your host Lindea Orsini. And I'm so happy. I'm so happy because this episode is fun and light. In the last two episodes, we embarked on a journey of letting go and if you miss them, I highly recommend checking out episode 28 called the power of letting go and the following bonus episode called letting go meditation. During these episodes together, we explored the profound concept of letting go and it was truly a pleasure sharing these two wonderful pieces of inspiration with you. One of them was a beautiful poem called she let go by Sapphire rose. If you haven't heard it yet, go back and listen, I actually narrate the poem into the episode. And it really touched the hearts of many of the listeners. The other inspiration was an insightful story from tick non Han, they have Buddhist monk, about releasing our cows. And you might be wondering what on earth is inspirational about cows? Well, cows are really just a metaphor for what we think we need to make us happy. But in actuality, by letting go of what no longer serves us, we can live lighter and happier. In any case, the response from the listeners has been overwhelming. Many of you reached out to express how deeply these episodes resonated with you on a personal level, and your willingness to share them with others truly warms my heart. It really fuels me to show up here on this platform. One testimony that stood out to me was from a dear soul named Martha who said, I want to thank you for your wonderful podcast on letting go. It felt to me that you spoke beautifully from your heart, allowing your message to come through so clearly. Your words hold such meaning for me and inspire me on my path to be my best self. The she let go poem had an amazing impact. I shared the episode with my sister and her two daughters, leading them to an enlightening conversation about letting go of things that no longer serve them. It's incredible to see how this theme of letting go has touched so many lives. Thank you, Martha, I really appreciate you taking the time to let me know this and sharing it. You felt this way and I felt this way. And then there were others who really mentioned that letting go is challenging for them. And it's not something that they've completely embraced. I can appreciate that. And I agree letting go is not always easy, but it's something that you may want to consider. Because the cost of holding on to old hurts for days, months or even years, versus the freedom you will gain to live happier and lighter is in my opinion, worth the effort.
Linda Orsini:Nevertheless, let's shift our focus to something light hearted to raise our vibration this week. And today's message is about the power of you guessed it, laughter both letting go and laughter are essential aspects of my life. And I truly try to incorporate them daily. You know, laughter is not just a simple expression. It's really like food for the soul and medicine for the spirit. It only makes sense that laughter helps reduce tension in our body, which makes sense. It counteracts negativity, anxiety, and you guessed it, depression. How could you ever feel depressed when you're laughing? Seriously. Laughing is not just something that makes you feel good. It actually has a biological impact on your system, because those endorphins that run into your bloodstream aim to reduce all that emotional stress and physical pain, while bringing us pleasure and reducing stress. I always try to find moments of laughter in my day, I was telling my friend that I wanted to talk about laughter on the podcast this week, and she suggested I shared joke. And seriously, the joke would be how bad I am at telling jokes. Not everyone has that skill. First of all, I can never remember them. And I often mix up the beginning versus the end is just turns into disaster. My mum was great at it. And even my father in law, oh my goodness, they could just recite jokes, and they would have us just fully engaged. But I'm more the witty type the one that pipes in with a quick humorous comment. So I will spare you the pain, which is a joke in itself itself. But that being said, I do feel I am witty, and I do have inspirational moments, funny moments, been taneous moments that can bring joy. And I really rely on that because life can get stressful. I know my brother, Steven, oh my goodness, he has such a quick wit about him. And he can really make you roar with laughter. And even my husband, for that matter is one of the reasons why I really fell in love with them. His laughter and his lightness for life really allows me to live with greater ease, because he will come out with such things that just in a stressful moment, reduce all the tension in the room and have us laughing and then the whole trajectory of our conversation from serious can go to humorous, laughter is invigorating. It makes us feel alive. It makes me feel alive. And there's nothing quite like a belly laugh. The times I've been in fits of laughter because of something somebody did or said, is priceless. Honestly, it's a moment that I really treasure when you had that belly laugh straight from your stomach, and you keel over honestly, those are priceless moments. And you know, those are moments to live for. It actually is food for the soul. It brings me and I know the others I am with. During those occasions, so much joy. There is nothing like a great laugh. So today's invitation to you is I invite you to take a moment right now and embrace laughter, find joy in the little things and share a giggle or even a belly laugh with someone close to you. Laughter truly is a gift we can give ourselves and you can naturally find laughter during your day, or seek out venues to make you laugh, or bring you joy. One of my favorite teachers Dr. Wayne Dyer, who has passed said it is impossible for you to be angry and laugh at the same time. Anger and laughter are mutually exclusive. And you have the power to choose either. You're right Dr. Wayne Dyer, we do have the choice to choose laughter over being overly serious or holding on to resentment, or even pettiness for that matter. I have an invitation for you today. Let's create a meta moment. Meta SN m e t t. And meta actually means loving kindness. This is inspired by my teacher, David G. And so when we invite loving kindness into our day, we can set the intention to invite laughter. Setting this intention to find joy and spread it to others is a beautiful way to start or maintain your day. And guess what? When my boys were really little, I used to read to them and then tuck them into bed and then they would want longer time to read. So of course, being an avid reader myself, I would give it to them. And they would choose the Snoopy comics. Well, I would go downstairs get ready for the next day, you know, pack lunches and tidy up and I would hear them giggling and laughing like serious belly laughs over there Snoopy comics, what a fantastic wait and their day. And maybe you want to start your day with laughter maybe you want to end your day with laughter. But if you create that intention, that meta moment of inviting laughter into your day or evening, you are creating a higher vibration where you can fall asleep or wake up and change the trajectory of your day or evening. Finally, if you have an excellent and are funny jokes you would be so kind as to share with me, I would really appreciate it. You can press the link in the show notes to reach out to me on any social platform that resonates with you and leave me a private message. Until next time, take care. Keep laughing and spread the love. From my heart to yours. Namaste.
