The moon appears to grow until it becomes full—and then its light begins to diminish. We usually interpret darkness, reduced visibility, or a downward trend as failure. But the Rebbe reframes these moments entirely: true growth has two stages—first discovering and developing your light, and then becoming secure enough to move beyond yourself. What appears on the outside as decline is actually where the deepest inner work is happening, drawing us into a more genuine connection with Hashem.
