He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide bunder the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”
David. Psalm 91:1, 2. Hi, it’s Nathan and this is day 24 of 30 days of promise. David’s words remind me of the hideouts I used to build in our back woods. I liked sneaking around by myself, finding solace in the forest. Taking in the quiet or the uninterrupted song of a nearby brook. There is a refuge for you today—a refuge beyond the reach of the pressing crowd, or the bothersome sibling. The meddling neighbor or difficult spouse. That refuge is in the personal presence of God—while invisible, it is no less secure, safe, real. Make that secret place of God’s presence your personal stomping grounds, take refuge daily within its fortress strength.
