Shownotes
Alex Palacios is a community health worker and advocate for more equitable and accessible healthcare systems. In this conversation we talk about how fear of immigration authorities is leading people to delay healthcare, how past experience informed Minneapolis' resistance to the federal government, and we share our personal opinions about the current state of the United States public healthcare system.
Note - in this conversation we mistakenly refer to Hennepin County Medical Center as the only Level 1 Trauma Center in Minnesota. It is not the only one - it is the busiest one.
