At the age of 7 years Bhumi Sharma was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, now 18 years old, she radiates a sparkling smile and that smile just depicts her energy and charisma. She says she gets inspired to see other kids like her and with other medical conditions whenever she visits the hospital, to see them and their struggles, she finds her problem really small and that is what inspires her.

Not only type 1 diabetes, but Bhumi juggles with managing her celiac disease and epilepsy along with diabetes. Initially unlike everyone else, it was hard to even accept her diagnosis. But later, her parents came out strong to motivate her. Not just her parents but her doctor, her schoolteachers, her friends, everyone accepted her with her condition now and since then have been supporting her throughout each phase of life. Her teachers told her that she doesn’t need to worry about her condition, they are there to manage and take care of it till she grows up to do it on her own,
