I did not ascribe to a lot of the beliefs of it.

And as I got out of that, you know, at 8 after 18, you can make your own decision.

And I respect what my mom and dad did.

That was their decision.

There's no book on parenting.
Speaker B:
We do the best that we can.

So once those stipulations or the parameters are not there that you have to operate within, you can reach out to expand your horizons or go out of your comfort zone, which I always knew had the ability to do.

And then to find out that there were some family members who indulged in metaphysical activity, but sort of had to keep it on the down low because people are so quick to judge in the Catholic religion.
Speaker B:
So I found out about ants that have been doing tea leaf readings, tarot card readings, having premonitions and operating covertly because I'm going back decades ago where it was frowned upon or looked down upon with society.

So you had to operate in the shadows.
Speaker B:
And I started to delve into that.
Speaker B:
And then after you're 18, you know, you start to maybe talk to more family members more because you're older, you're an adult, quote, unquote, an adult at 18.

So you start to learn more and then delve into things and then understand, oh, I had this ability too.
Speaker B:
So then you start capitalizing on that and you learn how to manage and navigate through scenarios and truly work on yourself and try to be a better person every day and do the best that you can without manipulating people, lying to people, cheating on people, using them for taking advantage of them to better yourself.
