Welcome to Wisdom-Trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. We are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. Proverbs 16:16 How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! We are on Day 1658 of our Trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote along with some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget
Today’s quote is from Brian Tracy, and it is: A clear vision, backed by definite plans, gives you a tremendous feeling of confidence and personal power.
A Clear Vision
I have known and continue to see individuals who lack the confidence and personal power to succeed in various areas of life. This lack of confidence, many times, will be the result of lacking a clear vision of what a person desires in life. If there is no vision, then there can be no definitive plans made for the future. It requires both. Vision without a plan is just a hallucination. You may see the vision, but it will never become a reality unless you design a plan and take action.
On the other hand, a plan without a vision is just drudgery. But a vision with a plan that is then put into action can change the world. To put it in a slightly different light, action without thought is impulsiveness. Thought without action is procrastination. When impulsiveness is unwanted, the message seems to be this: think – that is, reflect at a deeper level – before acting. The opposite of strategic thinking might be mindlessness.
Once you have confidence and power, you will be successful in whatever areas of life you desire. When others see confidence in you, they are willing to trust and follow you, giving you the power to carry on and make a positive impact on others for God’s kingdom.
Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.
Plans succeed through good counsel; don’t go to war without wise advice.
