Imagine getting in your car and heading out without knowing where you are going.  Deb and Alicia explain how this is similar to starting a business without a business plan.  Your business needs a roadmap to make the decisions it needs to make for daily operations and growth.  

One business plan isn't always enough.  There are times when you need different versions for timelines and multiple versions for various reasons.  You should keep your master plan, but also plan ahead one year, three years, five years, and beyond.  It may be necessary to rewrite or tweak business plans for pitches, grants, outsourcing, investors,  and financiers.  Deb and Alicia discuss the different types of business plans you need to have and how to use them.
