Speaker:

And now, this week's episode.

Speaker:

Back in episode one,

Speaker:

I talked about how many apps your podcast should be on.

Speaker:

And at the time, I mentioned that you want to be on as

Speaker:

many as possible to make it as easy as possible for your listeners to listen on

Speaker:

their preferred podcast app, whether that's Apple Podcasts, Spotify etc. But from an

Speaker:

indie podcaster point of view, one of the apps I do recommend getting on is Goodpods.

Speaker:

There's both a mobile and web version and what I really like about Goodpods is

Speaker:

yes it's an app that has all podcasts on there or all podcasts that are currently

Speaker:

published to Apple, since Goodpods uses the Apple API, but what they also do is

Speaker:

they're very much geared towards the indie podcaster. Instead of just having

Speaker:

charts for all podcasts they have indie specific charts so you can toggle between

Speaker:

all shows or just indie podcasts which really helps indie podcasts get

Speaker:

discovered more. They've also got some great features like podcast Q&A as well

Speaker:

as podcaster Q&A that really lets you tell people about you and your shows.

Speaker:

They've also just released lists which is great for creating lists of your top

Speaker:

five favorite podcasts in topic X or topic Y but the cool thing is your

Speaker:

podcast goes at the top of this list. So if your podcast is a podcast about

Speaker:

podcasts, for example like One Minute Podcast Tips, I can create a list like what I

Speaker:

have done on Goodpods and also share five podcasts I listen to that talk

Speaker:

about podcasting tips and insights and more. Again it's a really cool way to

Speaker:

really share the podcast you're listening to, but also get your own

Speaker:

podcast out there and in front of other listeners. You can check out Goodpods at

Speaker:

Goodpods.com or download their app for iOS or Android. Until the next time,

Speaker:

happy podcasting.
