17-year-old boy from Rani Khera, Khushal Dabas is studying in class 12. Khushal was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes with HbA1c of 14.7. He lived in a village and was advised by his neighbours not to take insulin. However, he was too scared of further complications and it was a lucky day that he and his family came to know about Yog Dhyan Foundation. YDF and the people there helped Khushal manage his diabetes. He had no idea what to eat and when to eat, but YDF volunteers helped him. Khushal is a bright and happy boy who speaks from the heart. He was in class 6 then and is now in class 12, a grown-up boy. Focused on his goal, he inspires others to join and work for the Indian Railways. He says that everyone likes to drive cars and bikes, but Khushal wants to be a loco pilot. He writes couplets that are inspiring and motivating:
