Opening weekend has officially come and gone, and after months of scouting, hanging stands, checking cameras, shooting bows, buying gear, watching the weather and convincing ourselves that THIS was finally going to be the year everything came together… reality has officially entered the chat.

Because opening weekend has a funny way of reminding you that deer don’t care about your plans, ducks apparently didn’t get the memo about where they were supposed to be, the weather forecast is more of a suggestion, and something you swore you packed is probably still sitting on the kitchen counter.

But that’s hunting.
