Melissa Deally:

Imagine getting up every day full of energy is if you were in your 20s. Again, what would that be like?

Melissa Deally:

What would that be worth to

Melissa Deally:

you? What is your health worth to you? Think about it. Your health isn't everything. But without it, everything else is nothing. And yet too many of us are taking it for granted until something goes wrong. No one wakes up hoping to be diagnosed with a disease or chronic illness. And yet, we've never been taught how to be proactive in our health through our school system, or public health. As a registered health coach and integrative health practitioner, I believe it is time this information is made available to everyone. Combining new knowledge around your health and the ability to do my functional medicine lab tests in the comfort of your own home will allow you to optimize your health for today and all your tomorrow's don't wait for your wake up call

Melissa Deally:

Welcome back to the don't wait for your wake up call podcast. My name is Melissa Deally. I'm the host of the show as you know and I am excited to introduce you today to another wonderful guest Scott Donnell welcome Scott.

Scott Donnell:

Thanks for having me. Good to be here.

Melissa Deally:

I'm excited to have you here. I really enjoyed being on your podcast several months ago, we just had great dialogue. So I'm excited for today's show. And to introduce you, you are the founder at Happy Inc. and founder at Happy Technologies Inc. In fact, and a business leader who has dedicated his life to both physical and mental health, Scott's personal passion for healthy living led him to create wearable device happy utilizing 15 years of research in magnetic fields and frequencies to help people feel better. So I love that name. Happy I'm sure that's playing along with happy which is what I almost said there.

Scott Donnell:

Yeah, it's kind of funny. We people think it's happy spelled like the emotion but that was the play on words. It's actually h a p, b, e because our logos A B, right, a little bumblebee. So half b is how we set it up.

Melissa Deally:

And then that can play on words to have be happy, happy.

Scott Donnell:

That's right. That was the whole point of the technology is we want people to be able to choose how they feel and feel better on command. Right? It's unbelievable tech, which I know we'll probably talk about. But if we can help people sleep, you know, much deeper sleep at the click of a button, focus and productivity with our new tropic signals at the click of a button energy in the morning to help with your morning coffee, relaxation on command for whether meditation or an afternoon walk or a nap, whatever it would be, that makes people's lives happier. So that's why we named it happy. So there you go.

Melissa Deally:

I love that. And I love that it's looking at all of those aspects of somebody's life. And I do want to dive into it more, because you've totally intrigued me about this. But I want to go back first and just hear about your journey that brought you here.

Scott Donnell:

Yeah, I mean, I you know, I've always cared about mental health, physical health, you know, we have, we have a huge company here in the states that teaches millions of kids leadership, fitness, character development. So development and physical health have always been my game. It's called Apex Fun Run is actually that company. So we've got about 100 franchisees and we do big events at schools and raise money all the time. But this company is more than the mental health space. It helps people you know, we're helping veterans, right? Who come back from school and you know, they're dealing with in some, they can't sleep very well, a lot of stress, and they just need to relax and they don't want to take any drugs, right, we're helping, you know, aging people with relaxation, or their lower back or tension or soreness. We're helping you know, this the every day entrepreneurs and parents and you know, moms that are just, they're going or you know, doing a bunch of stuff all the time, and they need to relax throughout the day. And it's a lot of people who don't want to take pills, they don't want to get addicted to anything. There's all these side effects with stuff you put in your body. And with the technology we have, we can actually replicate the effects of those certain molecules like melatonin, caffeine, even CBD and feel bromine which is like the stimulant and chocolate and we've got dozens more in the labs we're working on but we can give you the feeling of them with a click of a button because it comes from the actual molecule and with with this technology, you don't have to put any of those things in your body. There's no half life. There's no digestive or metabolic issues, things like that. So you know, happy reading is sort of changing the game to give people more control of their mental health.

Melissa Deally:

I love it. And so talk to me more about you know, wearing it. Do you have something that you can show for the video viewers here?

Scott Donnell:

I'm wearing it right now.

Melissa Deally:

Okay,

Scott Donnell:

I was just playing the focus signal before this I usually do right before meetings and right podcasts. And it's actually a nootropic. It's a mix of you know, caffeine or nicotine, other nootropics that help fire neurons and get your neuroplasticity up, and it just prepares you so much better. And, yeah, that's the signal I'm playing here. So it's a simple necklace is our first product, right making it we're making a bed form factor right now. And eventually, this was going to clothing and car seats. And I mean, there's so many applications to this technology. But the first one is, like, just the simple necklace that people wear while they're working or driving or traveling or at night under their pillow when they go to bed. And yeah, so that's that's what it looks like. What it's basically giving you is this very, very, very precise, small frequency. Okay, and the frequency itself, it triggers a response of your protein receptors in a certain way that the actual drug might in the body. So it's it goes back 18 years actually. 15 Doctors including Dr. Kenneth Ferguson, the inventor of Cialis of all things. Dr. Mike butters, Dr. Victor Levine, the number one cancer oncologist on earth, all of these guys had this crazy idea. What if you could record the effects of a drug on your body without putting the drug in your body? And that was the crazy idea. They're kind of going off of what Einstein said, which is string theory, all things are connected at a subatomic level through frequency through sound, right? It's It's how our cells interact, how our neurons fire. It's how we think it's how our brains work. I mean, did you know that your brain puts off EMF? Yeah, your heart puts off of a hertz level and megahertz level. And any electrocardiogram or electric cardiologist will be able to show you that on a graph. Mm hmm. And all we're doing is we're speaking the language of your cells, right? We're pulling the magnetic signature of these compounds in our labs, and we're playing them back on your body and there's zero toxicological side effects. There's, you take it off your back to base in 15 minutes, there's no metabolic side effects. So the way they did this was back in 2003, they started doing this research, they bought these magnetometers, that's what they're called magnet magnetometers. And it's a device used by the military actually, it's the world's most powerful recording device for frequencies. I'm talking like point 15 zeros and then you get your reading I mean, extremely small, precise, sensitive. It's 10 to the negative 15 cent a Tesla of sensitivity for any of you science nerds out there. It basically the Navy uses it, the military uses it to like figure out where this nuclear submarines are in the Pacific and Atlantic, they can tell within like 2000 miles where these things are using these magnetometers. Think of it like a propane tank with like a reader inside that shows you exactly where things are and can measure things from a long ways away. Anyway, these guys had this crazy idea What if we bought a couple of those and we put Faraday cages around it to block outside noise and we pumped it full of liquid helium to quiet the atmosphere inside the device and then we can start putting actual molecules of certain drugs inside of it. And it throws off what if it throws off a reading like a magnetic wake? And so they put these solvated molecules which is basically like a drug in liquid format. They put them inside alcohol, melatonin, caffeine, CBD, theobromine, my one of my favorites is adenosine is a signaling molecule that makes you tired. Okay. It's really cool. And after a few years of testing three or four years, they got their first readings out of it. And they were so precise that they Amelie went into animal studies, and they showed on mice that wow, this actually affects the behavior of the mice. You could see the mice you know, when we did our first tests a few years back we did actually with like melatonin, you could see the mice sleeping in the corner all huddled up. You did the the CBD signal and they were like laid out flat all their limbs like lay

Scott Donnell:

Yeah, the in the lab text. It was a third party company. So we didn't want to get we didn't know To have a piece of it, they had to do it all objectively. Yeah. And we blinded the lab techs, they didn't know what signals were on what cages and they could tell 100% between eight signals, it was amazing. Wow, you saw the nicotine, my salivating you saw the caffeine mice were jumpy and eating and grooming nonsense. It was really cool. I was like the first time we're like, alright, this is outside validation of the tech. And so that's really how this started and the parent company, with with all the scientists in the labs are up in Seattle, Washington. And their their name of their company is called emulate therapeutics. And they are the ones that hold this technology. They invented the technology, they've got almost 40 patents now on the technology. There's about $85 million into this now. And my journey is I'm not the scientist, I wish I could say I invented it, I did not. I am a marketing consumer app, you know, consumer tech app builder, I understand how to bring things to market and build the business around it. And a lot of what the parent company's been doing for the last decade is FDA trials for cancer. So they're working with glioblastoma, brain cancer patients, recurrent glioblastoma tumors, they're helping them because they got a signal for chemo for Taxol. And they've helped hundreds and hundreds of people amazing results. And you know, but but those those trials take forever. I mean, that one trials, like a four year cycle, and they have to do several of them. So it's just been a long haul. There. And they're, you know, obviously, they're doing amazing stuff on the medical side. But when the board was interested in potentially branching out, back in end of 2018, I have been an investor in the company for many years. And I know the board, I know the people there, I sort of said, Hey, if you guys are going to go to market in different way, here's what you got to do. You got to build an app, put, you know, a dozen signals on a playlist and let people choose from all of these consumer oriented signals like sleep better with melatonin, wake up with caffeine, right? You know, help yourself with, relax with a CBD, blend, help yourself, you know, get energy in the middle of the day with our nootropics signals, put those in an app, let's make a wearable that's wireless with 14 hours of battery life and let's take it out to the world for a couple 100 bucks. And they said, that's the vision. That's amazing, but we have no idea how to do it. You do it. I was like, okay, so we licensed their tech, we raised, you know, few million bucks and we started the company. And here we are today we're on the Toronto Stock Exchange as a public company. h a p BV as our like, is our venture Toronto Venture Exchange ticker. We've sold 1000s upon 1000s of these products. Now we're just finishing making 25,000 more. And we've got all these awesome partnerships that we're rolling out with chili sleep, or Dr. Drew who's like the addiction specialist for Hollywood or Jim quick are all these people Ben Greenfield, Dave Asprey, some of the biggest, you know, wellness influencers in the world are now using our product every day, we have professional sports teams using it, we have, you know, anyone who wants to get an edge without taking drugs, without us. So that's the business. That's how we got here today.

Melissa Deally:

I love it. And so that necklace, it's, it looks simple, but it's anything but simple, because it can do so much. Which is, I mean, who doesn't want to feel better? In today's day and age, we have 70 million people struggling with sleep just in the US. And, you know, we look around and the world is this most stressed out it's ever been. And that was even before the pandemic hit, right. And so something like this to help improve sleep or allow the body to calm can be incredibly powerful. And so it's all run on frequency. So you literally the device connects to the app. The app has the menu. Yeah, you choose six things.

Scott Donnell:

It sounds like Star Trek. I know.

Melissa Deally:

Yeah, it does. In fact, that little device kind of my husband's a big Trekkie fan that little device if you put over your eyes I would think it was data.

Scott Donnell:

Yes, it's it's little Star Trek II for sure. But you know, internet was crazy. 40 years ago, true. No radio waves and radio before that was invented you got an tarred and feathered. So what people don't understand is, this is how your body works. Okay? inside your cells is DNA. What are your DNA made up of atoms? How to atoms communicate, it's just protons, neutrons and electrons, its energy. And all of it communicates through frequency through vibration. And literally your whole body hums at 72 megahertz if you're healthy your brain is 90 megahertz if you're healthy if you cancer starts at 56 megahertz as you start to get lower and lower depths at 24 megahertz, I mean, people don't understand this because they think it's Wufu. Crazy, you know, out there, and then they try to think about crystals and other certain things. And it's like, well, your body actually works this way. And so we're getting loads of scientists who are like, leaving Western medicine because they're sick of the insurance game and Big Pharma game, and they're just going straight to the vein of how do I help someone feel better, the fastest and have the longest, healthiest life without the negative side effects. And that's why we're getting people flocking to us. And so if you really understand the body, this is the logical next step. You know, I think of drugs as a the wrong delivery method now, right? There's, you have to digest them with metabolic issues, and it triggers other pathways and it causes other problems. And, you know, if you drink alcohol, I love a good Manhattan. Okay, we also have a signal that emulates the effect of a shot or two, like a couple shots, it's called our happy hour signal. Now I'd play them together, I only need one drink instead of three or four, because I don't want to have the stomach ache and digestive issues and diarrhea. And you know, if you drink alcohol, guess what comes out of your liver, the byproduct is formaldehyde, okay? So there's all these things that happen when you actually physically put the drugs in your body that are negative. And so we just think of ourselves as a more modern delivery system for the body. And so and by the way, I should probably say this, in terms of safety, we have over a million hours of play zero adverse event, serious adverse events, and they're called sa E's in the medical world, you've had zero. And the reason for that, because there's nothing actually in your body hurting you. And then people go, Well, what about EMF? You know, are you? Are you basically radiating my body like a giant microwave? Well, no, this is, the sound floor is what we're using, we're actually at the volume level of your cellular interaction. Okay, so it's 130 1,000th of what your cell phone puts out at all I

Melissa Deally:

can say put it in, in relation to your cell phone. And then people know

Scott Donnell:

this, this is this is buzzing and paying satellites and throwing off EMF at 500 megahertz, it's a lot, you have to be very careful. With this. It's literally 130 1,000th of that it is so far be smaller than it's, it's like standing, I think it was 30 feet away from your microwave. That's what we're doing. Right. And so it's the sound floor. And if you compare it to all the other ways that people use to get themselves to an altered state, which altered states are good, you know, energetic state, a calm state, sleepy state, a relaxed state, focus, productivity state, all those are good. You want to reach them as fast as you can to get more done or engage with your kids or hang out with your friends or get creative and get your write a book or get emails done faster. Everyone wants to get help. And so we're just trying to give them what we believe to be the healthiest alternative out there.

Melissa Deally:

I think it sounds amazing. I'm really intrigued to try it myself. I love trying these things and playing with them and using them for myself. So what about how long you wear it for? I know you said that the necklace has like a 14 hour battery life. But how long do you wear it for? If you know if say you're picking a pick me up in the morning? I'm not a coffee drinker, but say you wear it for an hour at that point, or is it 15 minutes or are you wearing it kind of all day.

Scott Donnell:

Some people get the effects in as little as a couple minutes. Some people it might take 30 minutes to ramp up to get the effects. And so we allow you to wear them up to eight hours at a time. Right though people wear these all day throughout the workday. I keep it at my desk for whenever I'm doing meetings and working and I keep it at my desk. Some people just keep it at their bed and they put it under their pillow, turn on the maximum melatonin for eight hours and get a great night's sleep and they're actually tracking their aura ring stars for deep REM like they're seeing the stats go up and the deep REM go up. And so some people wear this all day every day. You know we have we have 24 hour customers who want to wear it as much as they possibly can because it helps them out. We have other people that they only need it for 15 minutes. I mean, Dave Asprey. He wears a focus signal for two minutes and he's there, right? He's got the nootropic buzz and he's ready to go. Yeah. But he's done a ton of brain work and meditation, work and EKG work. He also uses the sleep signal right before bed, use the bedtime signal. He only needs a couple minutes again, right? Like I'll usually use these, you know, three, four hours at a time throughout the work week, during the day and not a 24 hour and we don't need you to be using it a lot. Just use it when you need it. Right. Think of it as like a pocket pal, right? Like Steve Jobs marketed the first iPod 1000 songs in your pocket where, you know, we can't say that these are drugs because they're not drugs, right. But if we could give you 1000 feelings or altered states in your pocket around your neck, that's the that's the analogy we like to use.

Melissa Deally:

That's yeah, I love that. It's, I'm super excited just to see where this goes. Now, you also mentioned your aura ring. And I know it's an app. But does the tracking automatically flow through to the aura ring or the Apple Watch and other devices that people might have for tracking sleep?

Scott Donnell:

It doesn't flow through yet. But it will. We're right now we're just getting a ton of anecdotal data from customers. We're getting emails all the time from customers, like look at my aura ring stats, they're posting all over social media. Yeah, they even people put on their pets a lot. They wear it and their pet comes and curls up next to them and relaxes automatically. People have said that their spouse can feel it while they're sleeping next to them, they both get a good night's sleep, I actually don't believe that one as much. Because if you're getting a better night's sleep, you're moving less, which means your partner is going to get a better night's sleep because you're moving less, right. That's what's going on there. Because I know that this signal only is about a 15 inch radius above and below and like four inches outside of it. So that's really what's happening during that case. But we have a bunch of studies, Cambridge brain sciences doing a study on focus and memory. We have an ordering sleep study with hundreds of veterans we're about to launch like, right as we speak, it might already have been launched last week. But certainly by the time this probably goes out there, we'll have a lot more of those, that data. But eventually, our goal is to connect with a bunch of bio trackers to help people see their results in real time. And then our long term vision is to put this technology, like I said earlier in materials like clothing or your work chair or a yoga mat or a massage bed or your you know, a sheet for your your bed at home that gives it over your whole body, which is way stronger than just the necklace. Right? So there's so many other applications, and we're going to be licensing it to partners to help us make it.

Melissa Deally:

That's very cool. And it just sounds like literally the sky's the limit like those. All those doctors were totally thinking outside the box when they decided you know, how can we make the body feel like it should if we've given the drug but without giving it the drug? That's right, to lead to this and then putting it into wearables and linens, etc, etc. I think that all sounds absolutely incredible. And the sky is absolutely the limit. So remind me again of the six options that you have available today. Right we actually

Scott Donnell:

since we talked last we launched 20 blends.

Melissa Deally:

Oh wow. Do you want do you want to list them all off?

Scott Donnell:

Sure. We have our main eight. Now they're six to eight. But if you go on the app, I'll show you here we have our main signals alert, calm, focus, happy, relaxed, deep sleep bedtime. And boost boosts the field bromine stimulant and chocolate right um, but now we have blends which pulses certain compounds together to create a whole new experience. Very cool. We have everything from you know wind down bed time deep sleep to wake up long flight power nap. We have an email mastery, morning coffee, morning commute, mastering your attention, creative boost, deep work, happy hour with a Zen meditation signal for people. We have strain strain relief time to lounge and out on the town. Those are kind of the party fun ones. So all those blends now are in the app for people to use. And what we found is people love the signals themselves. But they wanted to connect them to use cases and the benefit they get from them. And so because we were able to overlay, you know, caffeine or theobromine or a CBD, nicotine receptor blend, like what they do is they create a whole new benefit for you while you're doing a specific activity. So the blends have been extremely popular. People have have really loved those. So now we're kind of helping them connect. Oh, yeah, when I'm going to go out on the town or party, that's the signal I want. If I'm going to do some deep work or some email work, I gotta focus. I'm gonna do that one morning commute or morning coffee, I'll do that one. So that's helped a lot.

Melissa Deally:

That's awesome. And it's just totally up to the individual. Like it's as easy as them deciding how they want to feel, and then choosing the right blend.

Scott Donnell:

Yep, yep. And we haven't begun to talk about all of the benefits. I mean, we have so many people that are tapering off of, you know, drinking or smoking or pills or, you know, I just got an email from a guy who was addicted to benzos for years medical prescribe drugs for his anxiety and his PTSD and he said And he has been using happy 12 hours a day and is absolutely in love with it and hasn't touched it many months. So things like that are why I do this, my real story of why I did this is, you know, I wanted to help the company, I thought this is an incredible opportunity. But I put the first big chunk of money in to see if it would work period to do the animal studies to I brought in all my PhD friends to beat up the tech to see what the holes were. And then the first time we got a few of the signals out of the animal studies, I put it on my grandma first. And my grandma bless her soul. This was a few years back. She had struggled with arthritis since the 90s. She wasn't getting good sleep at all, no more than four or five hours. And she was in a lot of you know, she had a lot of strain on her body intention and just discomfort and I put the relaxed signal on her. Right, which is inspired by CBD. And wait, I didn't tell her anything I didn't want to like, you know, tell her what it was.

Unknown:

He will saying, right? Yeah, I'm just putting this on an

Scott Donnell:

AMA. Grandma, I'm gonna put this on and press play and tell him what you think that was it. And 10 minutes later, she's bouncing around. She feels great. She's giving hugs to the whole family. She's like, this is insane. That night, she worked again for an hour before bed and she slept 11 hours. Wow. And my grandpa the next day, Papa Barney, he gave me $100,000 for the business. He said whatever you did to grandma, he's like, and we don't do that, by the way, our family's not like invest in each other and pass on a bunch of money. Right? That never happens. And he said, We're gonna die someday soon. I want this to go out to a billion people. Whatever you do with grant money to do with as many people as you possibly can. So here you go. And to me, that was like my moment. I was like, I'm in. I am. Okay, deal done. I'm in Let's go. Yeah. So that's what really was my why behind doing this, and launching this company.

Melissa Deally:

Yeah, when you see a result like that you gave me full body goosebumps telling that story. I love it, you know, no better, you know, proof of what this can do. And in such a short amount of time. And as you mentioned earlier, without any of the negative side effects that we know come from prescription medications, or, you know, some of these other petrochemicals, alcohol, CBD whatever smoking that people are using in order to get to that altered state. Right. So as I said, the sky's the limit. I know that it was ha PBV. Right. That's what you said on the Toronto Stock Exchange, because I know I'm going to be calling my financial advisor.

Scott Donnell:

Good time, I'll tell you what, a heck of a time, and we're going out for our next round right now. Yeah, for fundraising for capex and growth, it's a great time to be a part of the company. And you know, the product is 399. And you know, we'll give a discount, we'll give you guys a gift for your audience, we'll get you guys a link. But you know, and then it's going to be if you want to be like a member of the company for all of our future signals in the whole calendar. I mean, ultimately, we're going to have hundreds of these, it's 19 bucks a month. But people can choose a couple for life, and they don't have to pay anything. So not everybody wants is okay with subscription, right? If they get a ton of benefit, you know, 19 bucks is like the price of two drinks out at the bars. Um, so it's not that bad. When you really think about how many hours you are going to use it and love it. But not everybody is okay with that. And so we set up a system where, like, if you want to choose a couple singles sleep or focus, like you get those for life, you don't have to pay a membership. It's our it's on us and just enjoy the product as much as you can. Right. So we have both options available for people.

Melissa Deally:

That's awesome. And sorry, just it is h a p BV, or were you going to correct me on that?

Scott Donnell:

Yeah, h a p BV is the ticker symbol on the Toronto venture. But if you want to go the website, it's happy.com HAPB e Hap b.com. And you and you can get the product right there. We just got in stock again. So we're good to go.

Melissa Deally:

And I love the fact that you have the subscription, and then the option where there isn't subscription, because as you say, not everybody wants a subscription.

Scott Donnell:

And they'll be family plans as well. Like if you, you know, we'll make it affordable for everybody. We even have a model coming out where people can try it at home first, and then just pay like I think it's like 3540 bucks a month to just pay it off over a year. And so it's they don't have to drop all the money up front. If they have the money, I would get it right away because it's safe. They're going they're going fast. But hey, we're trying to set up a system because we want this in the hands of everyone, you know, and not just the people who you know, are going to drop $400 on some random product from a podcast. So we're opening up more financing opportunities so people can get the benefit. You know, ultimately we want to have this all over the world and helping hundreds and hundreds of millions of people and so So that's, that's our model right now, which is why we're fundraising and getting more money in the door to make more product and be able to give it to people at the right price.

Melissa Deally:

And I love the idea of family plans, too. Because, you know, everybody's gonna want to use it. And I presume you can share the device across people without yep,

Scott Donnell:

yep. Or you can get a couple of

Melissa Deally:

them. And then,

Scott Donnell:

yeah, that's usually what people do, they get a couple for the family, and people use it around the house, and they can use the same account. And you know, it's, it's favorable, we don't really care, like just, we want people to use it and get the benefit. And long term, if we keep serving people, the way we're serving them. Money, the money's not the issue, the money, we just want to be helping as many people as possible.

Melissa Deally:

I love that. And I also, what I love about it is that you were talking earlier about the different megahertz in the body. And as our vibration lowers, we know this, that's when we're getting sicker, right? And that can be triggered not only by what we talked about, when you interviewed me toxic load, etc. But it's also triggered by emotions. Right? Right. And so is this combination of things that can lift our energy or drain our energy? That's more than just what's going on inside our body? It is that whole body mind spirit thing, right?

Scott Donnell:

Exactly, exactly your energy is, is people think money's the most important asset. It's, you know, other than your faith and your family and your you know, there's nothing more important than your faith, your family and your health, right, and your energy to do all those things is, in my opinion, the most important currency, that's the most important assets, keeping your energy. Yeah, and I mean, imagine, if you're getting better sleep, you're gonna have a much healthier mental state throughout the day,

Melissa Deally:

right? Because your sleep is making you more stress resilient, right? That's right. So

Scott Donnell:

sleep is the best nootropic known to man, I love saying that because you know, people don't understand how restorative sleep actually is for your brain, not just your body and your muscles and your tendons and your mitochondria, but your brain needs that time to restore. And it actually elevates your, the megahertz that you hum at just by getting a good night's sleep, not to mention all of the ability to you know, be productive throughout the day and focus and have energy on command and relax your body in the afternoon, if you're feeling you know, stressed. So all these things help with your energy levels. And the last thing I want people to do is go pop a bunch of pills, and get, you know, addicted to some sort of medication or you know what I mean, there's a million avenues that people go down to try to get their energy better and help them feel less pain, or stress. And what we're trying to do is educate people that hey, there's another way here, yeah, that has none, no side effects, you know, that we've ever seen in decades of of this work, that's going to get you so much further down the road, and increase your health span, and keep you you know, humming at a high level, right, keep your energy as high as possible.

Melissa Deally:

And when we do that, then we're not getting sick. And so it's not only having you feel good, but it's also good, proactive action in looking after your health, which is what I'm all about. So I just love how there's so much here to offer. And this entire month's episodes of podcasts is all about, you know, rethinking our health, our health care system, as it is today is broken. It's a sick care system. And, you know, we have so much chronic illness in the world today. And so this is, is why I wanted to have you on the podcast is to just open people's minds to the possibilities when we start to rethink our health and how we can be proactive in our health and the steps that we can take. And this is an you know, easy to use device that is at a really accessible price point that has so much opportunity. So I absolutely love everything I've heard here today and thank you for offering a link with a discount for the listeners as well.

Scott Donnell:

Well, and I will say this like i i We have a lot of people that don't like what we're doing that make a lot of money off of the sick care system. I won't get into it, but there's target it's on our backs everywhere. And because we're probably going to be changing the global narrative around moving it to more lifespan, health span longevity, it should be create pre emptive pre read not reactive care, pre proactive care. And you know, we have had consultants come in like you should be charging 10 $20,000 for this thing. What are you doing? You know, even our parent company going through FDA and the medical side physicians want to charge $75,000 for therapy of these signals and You know, when we win our board, luckily, we have a lot of long term thinkers, we really fought back to buck the system and say, no, no, no, well, I don't we don't, we don't care about short term gain here, we care about long term impact. And so that's why we're literally getting this thing out a little bit of costs, like we want to get these into people's hands, as many as we can across the world, because that's how things change, right? Like, it will get cheaper, it will get better, we'll be able to put it in lots more devices over time as we get more and more scaled. So really, what we're building is a community of, you know, early adopters, and people who find out about us through podcasts like this, and news and referral from their friends, those people will help us start to build a community, an ecosystem that's all about this proactive healthspan thinking, and that's how we change the system. That's the My only answer there is, that's how we can change this long term. Because if not, if you don't have innovations, like what we're doing, we're stuck in the same system. And so I'm really for this, you know, rethinking the whole health world, and mental wellness, you know, at the heart. So that's my sorry to get on a pedestal, but I really believe in this.

Melissa Deally:

Well, and I really believe in all that you're doing as well. And I completely agree with our sick care system. And the fact that you know, there are cancer patients out there that are having to pay astronomical amounts of money for drugs. That's their only choice right now. And it's, you know, their life, or their re mortgaging their house and borrowing from friends and everything else. And it just, it shouldn't be that way. And it doesn't have to be that way. Because of people like you and companies like happy and your parent company that are creating this. And, you know, I know for cancer, they still have to go through the FDA testing. And that takes time. But I don't know if you can also share. Are there any other like, you know, diabetes, heart disease, common chronic illnesses that you're also doing trials for at this time? Are you able to share?

Scott Donnell:

Yeah, so the the two companies, they're the medical side, and we're the consumer side. So you know, we're not making medical claims, we're not drugs, we're not curing urinary tract infections. We are, help you sleep, focus, relax, product, all the normal everyday things that people need, right. And there are hundreds of applications for this. But we don't want to make medical claims the parent company is doing all of that. But they're, they're, they're going into pain right now. Pain Management is a huge opportunity for what we're doing. There, they've done work on cholesterol, like it really is a matter of financing. This is why I'm passionate about this, the more money we make, the more we can help them launch more trials for the medical side. Like it's a very symbiotic relationship. And so the the technology itself is really it's getting into non covalent bonds electron exchange in the body. And so any non covalent bonding drug, we believe that we can replicate to a degree. And so there's 1000s and 1000s of those opportunities. So, yes, I mean, long term, we definitely want to go into studies for heart medication, you know, Alzheimer's, diabetes, cholesterol pain, you know, issues, any of these major issues throughout the body. You know, right now we're looking at signals that help with brain function and memory function. We're looking at signals for sexual health and moving blood faster throughout the body. We've even got a signal for appetite suppression we're working on. Right, Dave Asprey, that was one of his biggest ask, so yeah, right now, on the mice, we're literally doing that. So anyway, there's so many more things to come. So that's why we're trying to get as many people in the community now yeah, you can be a part of this, because it really is a sea change in the works. And we're excited to be getting the word out. So thanks for having us. Well, I'm

Melissa Deally:

happy to share and get the word out, because I love and love what you're doing. It's the problem for many people in terms of their ability to be proactive in their health is lack of education, on how to do that, where to get started, perhaps lack of time, not knowing they need to, because there's a lack of education. But you know, bringing something as simple as this. And people are used to wearable devices now etc. And they're used to apps and they always have their phone. It just makes it so accessible for everyone. Yeah, yep. I love that. So, I mean, I love to ask people who is your ideal client, but it sounds to me like it's just about every human. Do you try to narrow that down?

Scott Donnell:

I mean, if you're if you're kind of sick of the sick care world, and you care about mental health and reaching these altered states on demand, if you need better sleep, that's a big category. That's our number one plate signal. If you need more energy throughout the day, more focus or productivity, that's their second largest category. And then, you know, all the other applications that we kind of mentioned on the podcast. This is huge for people that are looking to cut back from certain, you know, drugs or drinking or smoking or other things are doing, but we have a ton of people that don't even do that stuff they just want to have a better day with with more energy and then get a good night's sleep at night. So, and people don't just don't know about this. So really, we're getting, we're getting inbounds all over the world right now, you know, the VA just called us, for God's sakes, United Airlines, like people are, you know, we're heading up to do some deals with some huge, huge pro athletes in their organizations right now. Because it is a it's it's one of those tools in the tool belt that gives you a huge edge, especially in the in the physical fitness world. And so yeah, those are just some of our basic market segments. But yeah, we're, we're very, very early stages of this. And you know, over the next decade, you're going to see more and more of the sea change happening. So yeah,

Melissa Deally:

I'm excited to, you know, invest to partner with you to watch this grow, because a decade goes by like that. Yeah, and it'll be really interesting to see where, you know, it's amazing what you're doing now, but it'll be interesting to see where this goes. I'm excited for all that you're doing. So as we wrap up here, I always love to ask my guests. What it is, don't wait for your wake up, call me to you. Um,

Scott Donnell:

I see your quote in the background, my favorite quote is, He who has his health has 1000 dreams? Mm hmm. You does not have his health has only one. Yes, I like that one. And I really think about that, as so many people, they think that it's time to go to the doctor or get some help after they get sick. And a lot of times, it's too late. And I think that the wake up call is too late. You know, I have family members that are older, that are just, they're all their biases are breaking down, and they haven't taken the best care of themselves forever. And, you know, I really think that if we can be proactive, it's going to be so much more beneficial for our kids, our grandkids for future generations, my hope is that more and more of the world turns to reactive, there's just no money in it right now. That's the problem is companies like ours, we're helping people before they have all these issues. And so you know, I think don't wait, if your wake up call means to me just, you don't understand until it's too late. These issues that are happening all around you. And so, take, take three to 5% of your time and money. And invest in that. Invest in educating yourself and growing yourself. Empowering your family, learning what's out there, I always try to tell people like this, the best thing you could spend on yourself is to be proactively and reactively preparing for your life. Like that's the best way to live live a life. And yeah, so that's my advice. And I don't want to get into all the work I did earlier in the year with my blood work. And, you know, I did $1,500 of blood work, urine, stool samples, everything and I found found 20 major issues with my body that I never knew about and solving them now in my mid 30s. They said out of 10 years of my life. All right, that's what that's what not waiting for your wake up call means. And so that's just my advice to people is get help get the education, follow podcasts like this and help yourself be healthier longer.

Melissa Deally:

And I'm, I'm so glad that you did all of those lab tests, etc. Because that's exactly what I offer people is when we see what's going on inside, we get those early warning signs of things being slightly off, even when we feel really good and feel healthy. But it's so much easier to you know, blow out a matchstick, then put out a house fire, right? That's right, when you're aware of that small little flame, you can deal with it now. So I love. So I know you've said it already. But please tell everyone again, how they can get hold of you how they can find these devices.

Scott Donnell:

So happy happy.com hapbe.com And we'll give you guys a link in your show notes that you can give to people as well. And then if you want to follow us on Instagram, it's get happy. So just get happy H AP V. Just that's our tag so you can go find us there and join the community.

Melissa Deally:

Fabulous. And then what's just one last message you'd like to leave for the audience to inspire them to start their health journey today.

Scott Donnell:

gamify it make it fun? No one does anything that's not fun. That's reactive right now. So what if you set a goal for yourself where you're going to earn a spa day or vacation or trip and you give yourself 100 points and you earn those points by a good night's sleep over eight hours or you check your you know blood urine still like get these workups in Give yourself a point system and make it fun. That's my last piece of advice. Like the more like my wife and I, we have a standard walk set up. I have buddies come into my house for our CrossFit gym several times a week and I love it. You know, these things are fun, you have to gamify your life if you want to make it more enjoyable. And so have fun doing it but don't see this as like, sky is falling. See this as I have a goal of watching my great grandkids get married. Okay, that is a vision that excites me today to make the right decisions. So that's, that's the last piece I'll leave you with.

Melissa Deally:

I absolutely love that. And everybody can find fun in their health, they might think that it's boring. But it's different for everyone. But there can absolutely be fun in it. Even if it's just finding fun new healthy recipes to make and or making meals with other people to make that process more fun. Instead of buying, you know the processed food that's at the fast food store down the street, right?

Scott Donnell:

Or, or snow skiing, which you and I both love. snow skiing isn't a great activity. It's great for your health, hiking. Yeah, I swim with my kids every night. It's like daddy's time with them. And I could probably hear him out there now. Yes, heard that. Yeah. So it's like things like that they gamify your health. And so the more you can do that, set a set of rules, set a rhythm, that's fun, and you'll be way healthier.

Melissa Deally:

100% I love it. Thank you so much for your time today. And for joining me here, Scott. I love everything that you're doing. And I'm so happy to help promote it. And yeah, we'll get that link from you and put that in the show notes for the audience. So thank you again for being here.

Scott Donnell:

Thanks again, thanks for having me.

Melissa Deally:
