The Ubly Bearcats made it four wins in a row against rival Harbor Beach for the first time since 1960 with a commanding 56-20 victory on Friday, September 15, 2023. Four-year starting quarterback Evan Peruski led the Bearcat attack with 175 yards and two scores on just nine carries, averaging over 19 yards per tote. Altogether, seven ball carriers would account for 458 yards from 42 carries, producing eight rushing touchdowns while Brett Mueller put all eight point-after attempts through the uprights.

Harbor Beach would have success through the air in the second half, but Ubly had the game in hand by that point already. The Pirates threw nine passes with six being caught for 166 yards and a score with one interception. 29 rushes by Harbor Beach would muster only 90 yards, but two rushing touchdowns.

With the win, Ubly has now beaten Harbor Beach 5 of the last 6 times, dating back to the 2019 playoffs. The Bearcats have won 25 straight regular season games.
