Children in Slovak youth rehabilitation centers endure awful living conditions, including moldy rooms with flat floors, mattresses instead of beds, and toilets without doors. The recent inspection by the Prosecutor General's Office has exposed misconduct in all 13 facilities, where a total of 387 children live, shedding light on conditions that are even worse than those in prisons.

Last week, Slovak National Party Chairman Andrej Danko collided with a traffic light in Bratislava, sparking doubts about the actions of both the politician and the police. Despite the incident, Danko remains determined to run for the presidency, while Police Chief Ľubomír Solák has initiated a review of the police procedure.

Peter Kotlár has been appointed as the Government commissioner for the review of the governance and resource management process during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Cabinet approved his appointment on Thursday.
