Hebrews 11:12 clarifies that Abraham was as good as dead. That means no child coming from him and no child coming out of her. But out of the dead came life, a resurrection, a testimony regarding Jesus Christ. Not only did they produce a child, but their offspring was larger than they could imagine. We do know that Abraham faced the fact that there was no way anything could happen that would generate life. But he believed that God could do it anyway. A lesson for us all!
