Hey everyone!
Just a couple of quick notes.
Last week when I released Naomi Morrison’s interview from Moxie Farms I mentioned that I was going to talk to Pam question from
Purple Frog Gardens
from Purple Frog Gardens, about this years AERO Alternative Energy Resources Organization Expo but I meant to say Pamela Lund . Although there is going to be a farm tour at Purple Frog Gardens in Whitefish, MT at this years AERO Expo October 7th, so I will replay Pam’s episode too.
118: Building Community through Volunteers | Purple Frog Gardens | Pam Gerwe | Whitefish, MT
122: Pamela Lund | Planet B Harvest | Sunflower Greens and Pea Shoots | Kila, MT
Then I also realized there are like 15 AERO members so I will probably try to do a new episode on Monday and then a replay of the other interviews from people I met at the AERO Expo last year on Mondays and Wednesdays between now and then. They talk about some different topics but all are interesting.
Also, if you are from one of the states that I haven’t interviewed someone and you would like to share your story or know a great guest, I’ve never needed your help to find guests so bad as I teach over on the East side this year.
Also if you know anyone from any of these states I am always looking for guests!
- Alabama
- Alaska
- Arkansas
- Connecticut
- Delaware
- Iowa
- Kansas
- Louisiana
- Maryland
- Mississippi
- Missouri
- Nebraska
- Nevada
- New Hampshire
- New Mexico
- North Carolina
- North Dakota
- Oklahoma
- Rhode Island
- South Carolina
- West Virginia
so if you’re a gardener new or small, big or old, you will inspire and I know my listeners will love to hear your journey!
Sorry to interrupt your labor day but I have a wonderful guest I interviewed this weekend I know you will love too, Dave Christensen, and if you happen to go to the AERO contest I hope you will come up and say hi!
Also, I just have to say how frustrated I am with my sound, I just listened to my interview with Naomi Morrison and then back to my replay interview with Kathy O’Leary and I am so with disappointed my sound during my interview with Naomi and I have to play with my headphones constantly. I will do my best to fix this and be more conscious of my mic!
Finally, while listening to Kathi’s replay I heard her share this great tomato growing tip and I know someone in the Organic Gardener Podcast Facebook Community just asked a with question about this the other day! Someone who just moved to Montana or a colder climate… I had forgotten about this tip:
“Another tip from a Mennonite farmer out of Bonner’s Ferry that has to do with tomatoes, in this climate it’s challenging to get ripe tomatoes on the vine, but if you stop watering in August it kind of forces the tomatoes to. Would cut back a little, and then by mid August pretty much stop.”
So thank you for listening!
