In this episode, Tara breaks down why your sales strategy should NOT be focused on selling based on volume and an 'everyone can use it' philosophy. The more specific you are about who you are selling to, the more sales you will receive (even if you have a small niche size).

Hey everybody, it's Tara Bryan, and you are listening to theSpeaker:
course building secrets podcast. Whether you're a coach or a CEO,Speaker:
the success of your team and clients is based on your abilitySpeaker:
to deliver a consistent experience and guide them on theSpeaker:
fastest path to results. This podcast will give you practicalSpeaker:
real life tips that you can use today to build your onlineSpeaker:
experiences that get results and create raving fans. Why? So youSpeaker:
can monetize your expertise and serve more people without addingSpeaker:
more time for team to your business. If you're looking toSpeaker:
uncover your million dollar framework, package it and use itSpeaker:
to scale, you're in the right place. Let's dive in.Speaker:
Hey, everybody, welcome to the episode. In this episode, I wantSpeaker:
to talk about your audience. Okay, so I'm going to just saySpeaker:
this, because this is maybe my rant for the day. But if there'sSpeaker:
a topic that people need to hear over, and over and over and overSpeaker:
and over again, it is building your course for one audience,Speaker:
the more you can build for one audience, the more specific youSpeaker:
can be around your messaging, yourSpeaker:
ads, your sales process, and you can help that one type of personSpeaker:
go from where they are to where they want to be right, so youSpeaker:
can put them on one path that that sends them through to your,Speaker:
the fastest path to to how you're getting results, right.Speaker:
So really, really think about that, when you're reflecting onSpeaker:
who you want to serve and how to get your expertise out there is,Speaker:
the more specific you can be about one avatar, the moreSpeaker:
successful you're going to be in getting the whole process dialedSpeaker:
in, the more you send it out to everyone or to anyone or all ofSpeaker:
those other, you know, like avatars, right? The less they'reSpeaker:
less specific it is, the harder it is to sell. So so oftenSpeaker:
people are under the Miss misguidance, that if you buildSpeaker:
something that's for everyone that it will actually allow youSpeaker:
to serve more people. The problem is, is that if peopleSpeaker:
can't identify with who it is you're selling to, and what theSpeaker:
problem is, is that that you're solving, they will not buy. AndSpeaker:
so that's why dialing in one avatar is very important becauseSpeaker:
it helps to just direct focus. It's like a laser pointer, rightSpeaker:
directs focus at specifically at the right person, and solvesSpeaker:
their specific problem. Now, once you have all of that dialedSpeaker:
in, then you may want to go to some other audiences in theSpeaker:
future. And that's great. But don't start with everyone.Speaker:
Because what happens is that no one buys, right. Because if it'sSpeaker:
for everyone, it's actually for no one. And if you are like meSpeaker:
and you have a family,Speaker:
then what happens is when you say Can somebody take care ofSpeaker:
this, then guess who volunteers? Yep, that person called nobody,Speaker:
right? And so you have to be targeted, you have to beSpeaker:
specific, you have to be clear in your messaging as to who itSpeaker:
is that you want to be into your in your program, and how you canSpeaker:
provide them results. So I really, this is gonna be a shortSpeaker:
episode. But I really want to be clear about how that processSpeaker:
works, because that is your special sauce. It's not how muchSpeaker:
stuff you put in. It's not, you know, the bells and whistles,Speaker:
and the gamification and all of the things, all of that enhancesSpeaker:
the experience once they're in the door, which is wonderful andSpeaker:
fabulous. And I talk about that all day long. But the problemSpeaker:
is, is that if you want to attract the right people, andSpeaker:
get a lot of people into your program, you have to be specificSpeaker:
in terms of who it is that you serve. So fight the urge to beSpeaker:
out there for everyone, right? All business owners, all peopleSpeaker:
who do this all people who are interested in this, fight thatSpeaker:
urge and be laser focused and specific. Once you do that, theSpeaker:
game changes you get the right people who raised their hand andSpeaker:
so yes, that's me, I resonate with that, then you can sendSpeaker:
them in to your path and be very specific about how you helpSpeaker:
them. Alright, there you go. Think about that. Look at thatSpeaker:
within your own program and verify that you are beingSpeaker:
specific than all your marketing, all your branding,Speaker:
all of your messaging should be just for that person. Right?Speaker:
Imagine that they're sitting next to you at your desk andSpeaker:
Talking to them what do they need what are they feeling howSpeaker:
do you want to help them solve their problem and make itSpeaker:
personal to them alright there you go there is your course
