\nToday’s guest is a former head college softball coach who is now a licensed mental healthcare professional, certified Sport Psychology consultant\u00a0and private softball instructor,\u00a0helping countless student-athletes & coaches.
\nShe stepped down as the head coach at Bridgewater State University in 2017 to pursue her Doctorate in Sport & Performance Psychology. As a head coach, she took the team to super-regionals and developed her players’ mental game with the sport psychology skills she had learned.
\nShe currently runs a training facility, Diamond Fastpitch, where she gives pitching lessons and applies mental skills with her athletes. She also teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses at the University and consults with athletes in all sports, but especially softball. \ud83d\ude42
\nShe also works as a consultant with teams, including the\u00a0Chicago Bandits. She implements team-building activities to strengthen the bond within the team and reflective activities to help the players increase their motivation. She works with individuals on a wide variety of issues, like working your way through slumps, improving confidence and using positive self-talk.
\nShe is on her way up in the Sport Psychology consulting world, and we are so excited to share the stories and strategies of\u00a0Chrissy Semler, MA, LMHC, CMPC!
